I think its funny we're at the point that women are stealing salads to meet men.
The desperation will intensify, as it also looks like we're going to enter a rough patch for a bit economically.
Pilots being the most mobile, able to fuck anything in any destination and not get caught since their multiple love interests are separated is the ideal playboy bachelor setup, even considering social media if they're moderately careful about it.

This is a great example of what we call situational alpha. Being the top dog isn't an absolute characteristic. It depends on your environment.
Very few pilots have glamorous careers jetsetting around the globe.
In your 20s, a pilot is barely making a livable wage while puddle jumping between podunk KY and ATL 5 times a day. In your 30s, maybe you graduate to a few routes where people know the city you're talking about, e.g. JFK-LAX or Chicago-SFO. But still nothing super glamorous. You generally need to be in your 40s or 50s (plus a bit of luck of choosing the right airline and not getting fired during one of the inevitable downturns that will happen during your career) before you get to the stage of flying to London or Paris every month. And even then, you probably make less money than the business class passengers sitting in the pointy end of the plane you drive for them.
But in the micro-environment of an airport, pilots are the top dog. Even the young ones who are easily out-earned by a senior mechanic getting his hands dirty on the tarmac. So it's not surprising that this girl wants to snag a pilot.
The same logic occurs in bars and clubs where the bouncers and bartenders score tons of tail: in that world, they have all the power and "cool" factor, even though most of their male customers are wealthier and more powerful in the real world.
This is why, even if you're not a Master of the Universe, you can still do well by finding a few local bars / restaurants and getting to know the managers, waitstaff, bouncers, etc. When you take a girl there, the fact that you know these people and they let you cut the line, etc. means you'll be seen as an alpha in that environment.

One of my closest friends is an airlines pilot and he told me when he started out, as with MOST pilots, you first start out at a regional airlines. The few exceptions are prior military with a bunch of flight hours and even then they are still at the bottom in seniority and pay. Anyway he told me that his average pay starting out at $20 an hour. The entire pilot airline industry is based on seniority and flight hours. You have to build up both. An interesting fact he told me about the pay and why it is so low is that the clock doesnt start until the airplane doors are closed. they literally pay him to fly the fucking plane. All the before stuff doesnt count.
What every pilot's dream is to make the jump from regional to a major airline. It took him almost 10 years going from a podunk airlines to a major one. He lost his seniority when he left the regional (think airlines like Jet Blue, Spirit, Southwest) but had the flight hours for the majors (Like American and Delta) to even look at him. His starting pay was about the same as his top pay at the regional airline. I was taking some flight classes and flirted with the idea of starting a new career and he called me and ask "I hope your not serious about this!" The big shock was that he told me that there are many pilots that for whatever reason, never was able to make the big jump to a major airlines and they are in their 50's flying regionally like LA to Vegas to Phoenix for $85K a year.
As for prior military, since they are at the bottom of seniority and pay, they do what is called "Guard Bumming." Once they get hired, they also join the Air National Guard and what they do is drop orders on their employer and activate for active duty assignments all the while their accumulation of seniority does not stop with the airline since they are protected by federal law. You cant be penalized because of military activations to include not accumulating seniority.
wow, I got off topic. I really wanted to comment on the concept of situational alpha which I find more interesting. I'll reply to my comments for that.

The reason I find the concept of the situational alpha so interesting is that it is an insight and some of the explanation into a woman's sexuality and how they choose who to fuck. It really shows that feels are reals and that her desire and lust is at the primal subconscious level. We men look at a bartender and say "I dont get it. He's a fucking bartender!" But to a woman, seeing him command attention, being in control, other people clammer for his attention. The power and control of who he gives his attention to, his popularity, all that taps directly into her desire for the male alpha of her Paleolithic tribe and worthy genes to breed with. It ties directly into her subconscious brain for an alpha fucks. It's usually after she satiates her lust and usually sobers up the next morning and looks at him as a potential Alpha Bux she then realized "He's a fucking bartender!" So then she either treats him as a one night stand never to see him again of a FWB and engage in the Dualistic Mating Strategy. We here all know that he got her sexual best too.
Quick story about guys like our bartender. I went to a Irish Pub with a friend that looks like Sméagol. I told him to pull off a patch off one of his old uniforms since that bar had a display of different patches from agencies nationwide. I thought we can score one or two free drinks. The bartender was literally a buff Chad. You could see the hot blonde waitress hovering all over him. Anyway this guy was a typical Chad, aloof, almost bored with our presence when we asked to pin the patch on the wall. He saw the patch and his eyes lit up. He becomes our instant friend and pick out brains on how he can get hired. He tells us his situation of how he is 38 and living in a rented house with 4 other guys. It sounds like he and his roommates were the party guys having a good time then suddenly they are pushing 40. He wants to grow up and get an adult job like us. Anyway he was letting us sample the various Irish whiskies since he was very knowledgeable on that when I slurred my speech to my friend and told him: "dude, you look like Sméagol, he gets more pussy than you, he is better looking than you and he would trade all that to have your job and be where you are at in life."

I've known some guys to pull shockingly fine tail from GMing tabletop RPGs at con games. Same thing: they're surrounded by professionals of various stripes who may outearn them by 5x or more but, at the table, they're in control and dictating the pace.

(Note: you can be horrible at lying and women will overlook blatant bullshittery if you are hot enough. Yet somehow men are the shallow sex - LMAO. Shaggy Defense is REAL.)

I chuckled at the underlined sentence "He seems honest". Note: PRESENT tense!!! Whether that's a slip of grammar, she doesn't appear to have the capacity for personal growth. Many men here escaped the blue pill, or at least grew over time, by acknowledging our mistakes, learning from them, and moving on.
That said, it's understandable why she's solipsistic asking such silly questions: "Are really all pilots like this?" She's perceived as highly attractive having numerous pilots hit on her so she has a swelled head but cannot see why these men have their own demands from being amongst the elite of our society. Even medical doctors have to abide by a pilot's authority in a cabin.
In answer to her question: no, they're not ALL like that but like women such as herself, they are not typical of most men since they are functionally celebrities. The few that are loyal will already be married. We all know this.
I find it amusing she claims the pilot said he found his wife's surgeon career a turn-off. Perhaps the pilot chose to marry her because the surgeon is exceptionally pretty but also, not going to come after him for alimony. This is sort of the "settling" many men may engage in: Sure, a woman's career may be a turnoff but she pays the bills. Men can engage in reptilian strategy too!

This post represents the modern dating market and crisis women have created. Starting with a woman's hypergamy and the 20/80 rule. They want the top tier men and the bottom 80 are invisible. (would she go out with the airplane mechanic that makes just as much?) but at the same time these top tier men have these soft harams where these woman would rather share an Alpha than have a beta all to herself. It's already like that unofficially. Hence why male singles are so high and women claim to be 'dating' a guy who turns out have a group of girls also 'dating' him. The women in turn also have a ATM, emotional tampon, and so forth in addition to the guy they are 'dating'.
