There are numerous videos about how hypergamous and deluded Chinese women are pricing themselves out of the marriage market, despite the fact that there are 200 million more men than women in the country.
But I picked this one for the absolutely hilarious first date that one of them recounts. FF to 2:45 and listen for about a minute. It looks like Chinese men have taken the concept of a coffee date and pushed it to its extreme. Maybe they're onto something...

I think I posted one of these videos a few months ago. It's puzzling but also, from our understanding of macro-economics, how a country with a surplus of men can also be perceived as a shortage by women. Consider what happens during shortages in the USA such as with beef: There's a run on these exacerbating the shortage and then, in addition, wastage as the beef goes bad in the fridge. Restaurants raised prices while simultaneously seeing a mass shutdowns of competition. Economies can be crazy at times.
Even if there are 200 million more men than women in China, the young women believe then that the surplus should mean she can raise her expectations beyond reason. Just because there's lots more men in general, doesn't mean there are even more wealthy AND handsome men. China is especially height conscious when it comes to men exacerbating these women's demands and, as they age, their Christmas cakes go bad even faster making it even more difficult.
As I observed on another goldmine (for a while) of inspin frustrations: "strong, independent women" find it difficult to get the handsome, wealthy men they desire because they don't wish to put in actual effort themselves. They want not only the top men, but these men to not enjoy any benefits for having success. Strong and independent men don't hold open doors or become super heroes. They go to airport lounges to be pampered themselves. They want servants to look after them when they are not working. If these women were smart, they'd crack the code but they're too entitled and lazy to do so.

Precisely. The difference in size of the dating pools only increases the number of men in the lower 90 percent of all prospects. To her, all those "surplus" men are invisible anyway.

To their credit, some of those Chinese girls actually take responsibility and realize things are their fault. I'd be happy if US women could at least admit they are useless leftovers, but they always have to keep the narrative going.

That's because Chinese culture does not tolerate blaming others' for one's personal failure. Those few girls who admit their own mistakes only do so because nobody will believe them if they start spouting feminism and will even shout that down.

It's refreshing to see a woman actually taking responsibility for her stupidity. If it's due to Chinese culture, fine, then we could use some of that here.
I'm starting to think that a major element of "civilization" is just an agreement among men to restrain hypergamy. The founding fathers never intended that women vote or become citizens, that was ridiculous. It still is.
Anyway, whatever it takes for women to call each other out.

I find it amusing that the younger women, like the one at 5:35, look at the older women and say, "Sorry, I can't help you. There is no hope for you. You're on your own. I have to make sure I don't end up a drunken cat lady like you. The Sisterhood be damned."

I would like to see them in 5y. Talking a talk or whatever is da phrase. If we look at a 'whack a hamster' as an addiction than it will be extremely hard to beat. Who will exactly help this women to direct them? Many of them uprooted, taking advice from competition or dudes that don't already believe them. They do not realise how hard task it is to put a life on a right track and keep it there.
