I’d venture that there’s a large share of 45+ “lesbians” that are really just post wall women desperate for any sort of companionship. I remember my mom’s train wreck of a cousin randomly came out as a rug muncher after 50+ years of being straight, and even being engaged to a man at one point (before he came to his senses and moved back to his home country).

As you noted, lesbian bed death happens when both people in the relationship believe that initiating is not a woman's job.
The sky-high rate of DV in lesbian relationships is largely the product of women being raised to believe that there are no consequences for throwing hands (or pans) in their relationships. Not only are women more likely to initiate violence, but men tend to hold back a lot (otherwise a lot more women would be dead). When a woman hits a man with everything she has, he's not nearly as likely to be catastrophically injured as she would be if he laid into her with his full force. Most male-on-female DV is not done with the intent to do serious harm. That's part of the reason so many women believe all the girl-power nonsense they see in movies... very very few women have ever fought a grown man who wasn't holding back.

I'm chuckling about some bad advice Steve Harvey was giving women including where he suggested motivating them for success: "Fly business class so you will get accustomed to luxury and then after that, you won't be able to go back to economy. That will motivate you to succeed!"
What horrific advice! What if one can't succeed! Won't that make them miserable then with daily life? What if they don't want to make the effort to succeed? (Laziness?)

I'm flying basic economy in 2 weeks for 5 hours. I may be stuck in a middle seat in the back with a mere soda and pretzels handed to me. I'll bring a snack on my own, buy an alcoholic beverage, plug in headphones, and watch a nice movie and have a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to it.

I’ve traveled to over 25 countries and spent well most of the last decade outside of US soil. People are in the US are miserable. The most basic things we need in life like family, fun, sex, food is all handled so poorly in the US. It’s like the system is designed to make you suffer there. The only reason I ever step foot there is to make money, and once I can finally make good money without ever going there I’ll probably never step foot on that soil again.
