Actually, I’m surprised how guileless modern women have become. Yes, some of them possess minimum wiles such as a woman being smiling and flirtatious with a hot guy on a (paid) dinner date but otherwise they don’t make an effort to hide their pathological worldview because essential to that mindset is that they think it makes them “feminine” and “cute”. They believe their “men are intimidated by me” rationalizations among others.
They only succeed with such an illusion when we ignore their red flags. I’ll admit: My first major girlfriend ragged on about her ex and told me: “If someone tells you they’re nuts, believe them!” A year later, I chuckled that she had done just that with me but I hadn’t believed her. People who openly tell you they’re bad aren’t lying. I realized I had projected my good intentions upon her so she didn’t have to bother wearing a mask. I realized I had to give people, good or bad, the dignity of simply listening and observing them. Not just people. Dogs and cats. My daughter marvels at my relationship with my cat. I said it’s simple: I listen to the cat in the terms the cat communicates in. That’s not the same as accepting someone’s narrative at face value or what they prefer it to be.
Nonetheless, it’s astonishing how often people tell the truth, despite themselves, in plain sight.

Predatory women in acquisitive mode are dangerous because they do not even realize they are following the script. Their feelings are genuine and so the man is easily fooled.
My mother married six men and divorce raped five of them (last I checked), not including affairs. Imagine being that fifth or sixth man and thinking, "Gee, this could really work." That's the level of manipulation the vampire exerts on her victims.

Proverbs was on the money there. Of course its harder for most men these days. They don't have their own cistern to drink from, only a turn at public fountains. There is no wife of their youth to rejoice in. They spent their youth practising game in the hope to get a turn at a public fountain. But we can work to trying to leave the world a little straighter than we found it.
Solomon as author is unlikely. The proverbs ascribed to him are the newest part of the book. The book is a collection of wisdom from as far a field as Egypt and Babylon. It only just got left in the bible due to its being a bit contradictory and mostly based in human wisdom not divine decree or Jewish history and law. I say this because one of the attractive features of the book is that it is very universal and speaks universal good advice for all men, regardless of creed.

Their feelings are genuine and so the man is easily fooled" The predator is genuinely attracted to the prey, genuinely feels excited, is genuinely greatly when it catches the prey. The hunter really does love the deer, how much more will the needy woman love the man who will give her what she needs.

Yes but the hunter does not ever stop loving the deer even after he cuts it up and eats it. When he decides to hunt the next deer, he does not resent the first deer and burn its carcass into ash and take vengeance on it for being a deer. He does not sue the deer for not providing enough meat for the next 20 years. He does not ruin the lives of the deer's children in front of the deer in order to further make the deer suffer. The vampire woman does all this.

You made me laugh with what you said about the hunter not hating the last deer. It just happens that since my previous post, I have gone out and got a deer and put it in the freezer (which is probably why deer were on my mind when I posted). One always thinks how grateful one is to the deer even though it was unwilling to fill your freezer (I usually actually say thank you to the deer before I butcher it), yet so many women are ungrateful to the men who were themselves very willing to feed them.

@NotaBene @First-light I read a book that explained, as if the author recently discovered it, that most humans lie to themselves in order to lie to others. He called the brain a “press agent” that carefully helps manage “double books” to sell lies to others, and ourselves, while maintaining the actual truth to profit from it. It’s sub-conscious like how we can tie our shoes but yet maintain a conversation.
This revelation doesn’t surprise anyone here, of course.
In regards to the point at hand: Women are raised and likely biologically inclined to see mates as expendable resources. Heck, this statement is even public knowledge. Nonetheless, it’s difficult to form emotional attachment to an expendable resource such as naming a cow after your grandmother, carefully nurturing it daily, and then hitting her in the head with a sledgehammer to then butcher the meat. Imagine if Babe had been killed at the end of the movie.
Hatred towards men is due to the woman wanting to blame the man for the horrific way she will treat and lie to him. She also loathes herself for the burden of “having” to have sex with such a thing in order to extract resources from him. This is the paradox many face in that they crave a man they actually respect, the Type A 1 percenter, who nonetheless provides and protects her because he “wants” to rather than has to. A “gentlemen” whose wallet is so bursting with cash, he throws it around due to carelessness. This is the modern romantic dream.

I agree that women use blaming a man as justification for treating him badly. Its inventing a "justification" for the mistreatment.
When they fall in love, they don't have to lie to themselves, I think its more often than not 100% genuine feelings (though there are of course some gold diggers frauds). They are naturally attracted to him and all he can do for them. They are wholistic thinkers and they don't terribly separate the man form his usefulness.

I just started fishing last year, but to make up for my childhood have been going almost every day and have filled two freezers with fish. I'm obsessed.

Nice work with the fishing! Do you get complaints about eating fish too much? My kids used to complain about venison every week but these days they seem to have got resigned to it. One day they will probably go to buy some in a shop after a friend raves about it being healthy and realise they had a bit of a first world problem there.
Does your state not let you buy tags for any deer species at all? Or is it some other issue? I assume the land would be eaten away if no deer at all were shot.
It always annoys me that the liberals of this world will usually fight tooth and nail for "indigenous" people to be allowed to hunt anything they like out of season and give them tracts of land on which to do it (where many laws seem to not apply) because its their "birth right" to hunt but if you are white you don't seem to be allowed to be indigenous to the land of your fathers and you have no birth right to hunt. But are we all not born with the instinct to hunt because humans are natural hunters and gatherers?

Complaints? Yeah... we don't do that here. I just bring like 9 pounds of fish home and wifey guts them all and freezes them, then fries or bakes them with homemade tartar sauce. If I ever get a deer, that'll be mostly her job too. Squaw's work :) Yeah, I know, I'll help a bit too.
You can hunt deer here, but never with a rifle (hunting anything at all with a rifle is illegal here). So I have to take a class, get a special license plus stamps for deer, assuming the area is not already full, also I have to buy a shotgun which I'm not good at. This means a club membership and ammo to practice. All costs money which I'm spending on other hobbies at the moment.

Oof. I genuinely can't imagine hunting deer with a shotgun. Archery is one thing, black powder rifle even, but a shotgun? That seems like it's just asking for shit to go wrong.
Granted, I live in the mountain west, so I'm dealing with mule deer, which are generally about half again as big as white tails. Though I can't imagine white tail shotgun hunting is any less obnoxious than mulie shotgun would be.

Sheesh shotgun and deer is not a great combo unless you are close. Where I am from deer with a shotgun is illegal in most cases on humane grounds! Then there is the problem with stray shot breaking the rumen and spoiling meat. You really don't want to hit the rumen.
No4 buckshot from fairly close is good. Tungsten super shot can be mighty tight a long way out and hits hard. That would be my choice. You might want to build your own cartridge (which is fun), though there are some big loads out there for turkeys (but as the shot is small, you will need to be close). You can use 00 buckshot but if you are not close its a bit of a lottery where each of your 9 balls from a standard 12 gauge load actually go and with deer you want a bullet that expands in the boiler room. Get it right and they flop on the spot. A 30 cal partition bullet and mine made it 6 feet yesterday -basically the surprise jump. A 00 ball in the boiler room and they can run half a mile or more and you may want a dog to find it. You won't have a problem learning to take a deliberate shot with a shot gun but you will need to get your ambush hunting almost on a par with a bow hunter. This is at least a lot of fun and you get to see wildlife really close in a way you just don't normally with a rifle.

I teach archery classes, but it's traditional/speed shooting, and I'm just not accurate enough. I've got some rabbits this year and last with the .22, so I'm not hopeless. Just working my way up. It's kinda sad when you can be an American man and not shoot/hunt/fish until your 40s.

If you teach archery, I doubt you are not accurate enough. You just have to get really close. The Utube hunts you see with compound bows from tree stands are not what I mean, I mean really close.
One of my quirkier hobbies is primitive technology. A few years ago I made a bow and arrows using only materials I had myself sourced from nature. This meant feathers from shot birds, sinew from shot deer, flint from the hillsides, tar from birches I had felled, a soap stone arrow straightener, a buckskin quiver and so on. It is one thing to make such a bow and arrows, like people do for museums, its quite another to tune it to hunt, another yet to hunt with it.
I gather the average distance for a primitive archery deer kill is 12 yards. You have to draw on the animal without it seeing you move, when you are close enough to smell it. At this point the bow becomes a time machine taking you back to your stone age ancestors because you are doing exactly what they did.
The journey to hunt close is an amazing one in patience and self control and you will see wildlife like you have never seen it before. A 50 yard walk will take an hour sometimes. Squirrels will hang off tree trunks for what feels like ages to look at you close enough that you could touch them, hawks perching above you will startle when they realise you are something in the same game as them or maybe they will never even notice you and move on at ease. Spiders will spin threads from your bow and eventually deer will come if you just understand them well enough to put yourself where they will be going and you have the strength mental and physical to freeze when they look at you, even mid step. Let them come to you, you don't need to close the last yards, they will (sometimes).
You are good enough, you just need to get close, tune your arrows for a good sturdy broadhead and don't forget to wait the endless wait after the shot before you even go forward to inspect the blood.

That is so awesome, I want to learn all that, but fishing been taking up all my free time :) So many hobbies to choose from!
I make bows out of PVC, which is pretty far away from nature, but at least it's not some compound monstrosity, right? At least I get the kids to make their own bows and strings, very fun.
I know what you mean about just being in the woods and quiet for a long time. I have seen many deer but not very close, only a couple in bow range. Although I don't have the discipline to NOT swat a mosquito yet, we hatess them.

Or a horse fly! Hate them both. I have had to choose between swatting one of them biting me and shooting a deer with a rifle before. I think in summer one wants to wear a camouflaged veil that is too fine for a midge to get through.
