Okay, here's a compromise. I've brought the pills back for comment sections.

What was the reasoning behind changing the upvote icon to stars? The old icons were much more intuitive. I second /u/dmystery 's interpretation - you upvote redpill logic and downvote bluepill hamstering. Of course, this also applies to the front page and threads.

The star design loses this sort of nuance, it's more like 'I'm upvoting because I like this'. It reminds me of a 'favorite' icon, and looks more like a regular subreddit rather than trp.

We're working tirelessly to bring the design elements of https://www.trp.red/feed/ and the multiple subreddits into conformity so there's some consistency between them.

I do agree, having the red and blue icons help solidify what should be upvoted and what shouldn't be- and so we've brought them back for comments. But I don't think clicking 'favorite' on the home page for posts you like is a stretch.

I like the new banner, but not the new layout. The last one was simplistic with standard fonts. The new layout might drive off potential newcomers. I can't seem to find the "topic" buttons either which separated posts by categories.

The flair descriptions overtop the post titles are overpowering. There shouldn't be any visual obstacles in the way of reading the titles. I would suggest removing them and making that info a mouseover popup. http://i.imgur.com/z0kLsg4.jpg

it is possible to merge the "welcome" with "rules and glossary" ? Why not? the welcome parahraph has only three lines but takes header and space.
it is possible to put asktrp between network links? That way people notice it quickly and will focus usual questions into asktrp instead of trp. Also considering the amount of text in sidebar, it takes to scroll the whole page everytime I want to open asktrp

If you don't like the new design, install Reddit Enhancement Suite (Res), then you click "Toggle Subreddit CSS" button and you get the classic Reddit look. You know the clear, transparent and readable one :D
