Keep in mind Ecuador is much more disconnected from the global cultural mainstream. You're going to find more traditional women, and that's going to make the attitude toward a traveler more "interloper" than "exotic".

As for Europe . . . the hard part in Europe is not getting laid. One thing I'll say about Europe is that the history of tourism there leads to a selection bias (in this case, one we like) where local women who are interested in foreigners gravitate toward the tourist areas.
