KiA is weird. They were almost banned a while back, and they are constantly being slandered by some version of SRS or AHS. Mods decided a while ago that protecting the sub was more important than allowing for free speech and giving a platform for unrelated things that need to be said. Basically the admins won a soft victory because the mods there are to afraid to even talk about reddit in a meta way for fear of being quarantined/brigaded. It kind of sucks

It's not shocking at all. KIA is controlled ops and always has been, of course it will not go away. Even if your post did concern video games and censorship within them a good number of the SJWs engaging in such are a protected class and the only thing they actually do is virtue signal about the few SJWs who aren't in said protected class without actually taking any action against them.

In exchange for being massive moderate cucks, they will be shot last.

At the very least the quality of posts seems to have been improved significantly, and the mod team more on top of their game since it happened.

I think that's supposed to be included in the piece itself rather than in a separate comment. I dunno. Any more general discussion from the mods over there? They seem to be "we're not at risk so fuck you." Do they not realise that this is precisely the salami tactics that reddit employs? They don't want to fight us all at once, so they'll pick one major sub at a time and we're 3 times the size of KIA. If we go down, they have no chance in the future if the same ever happens to them.

If you can get evidence of that then you have evidence of it being a kangaroo court process. A show trial because the decisions have already been made, and not for honest consistent reasons. Gamergate has constantly had the misogyny slur hurled at it so their reaction that they are safe from this is bizarre at best.

Precisely as the Reddit administration had no grounds to quarantine /TheRedPill, the mods at /KIA had zero justification to remove that post. Their own cited rule explicitly states that posts regarding major Reddit happenings are allowable.

The censorship of a subreddit with over a quarter million members is, in fact, a major Reddit happening. The choice they make to bury their heads in the sand and pretend it can never happen to them does not alter this fact; it just makes them look kinda stupid.

They removed the post because they think that appeasement will keep Reddit admin off their backs. Does anyone remember how that worked for Chamberlain in 1936?
