People who think that Islam is sexist because wives must be submissive to their husbands tend to forget a couple of important concepts :

• Mothers are given a lot of power in comparison to fathers, there are plenty of verses and sayings to support this. It can really mess with your head if your mother is a narcissist.

• Women who are obedient to their husbands are said to automatically go to heaven, no questions asked.

• A woman is entitled to her share of the inheritance regardless of whether or not she works (has a source of revenue), and that share is hers to spend as she pleases. Note however that that share is smaller than that of a man, that's because a man will generally have more mouths to feed. This is actually one of the things feminists tried to abolish, they wanted women to inherit the same amount of money as their brothers even if they have husbands that provide for them. Not sure how that turned out, it was too cancerous for me to follow.

• A mother's role is difficult indeed (pregnancy and whatnot), but it gets easier with time. Once the children have grown, she will have a lot of free time and her (by then capable) boys are added to the pool of "men who take care of her". Refer to point #1 for why this favors women over men.

• Money that the wife earns is hers, the husband isn't entitled to any of it unless she shares it with him out of the goodness of her heart. The husband, however, must spend a portion of his money on her regardless of how rich she is.

In fact, I know many stay at home moms who, once the kids are grown up, take up a feminine hobby like cooking, sewing, teaching, etc. and make a small business out of it. This is one of the main differences between marrying a woman who remained chaste and marrying a woman who rode the cock carousel throughout her youth. CC wives, when bored, will reminisce about old times and will be tempted to cheat.
