Red Pill Example? kinda. Female Solipsism example? Definitely.
So I had a feeling she was cheating as she set off a lot of red flags. Constantly laughing and smiling when texting, saying it was just her mother when I asked. Needing to stay late every night after work. When I'd call in her co-workers said she left hours ago. When I asked her what was going on she'd laugh it off and say it was just something they did to each other at the office all the time. The last straw to where I knew something was definitely up was when she went out "to get milk" at 11:30 at night and didn't come back till 2 in the morning.
Basically guy finds out his wife is cheating. The signs are pretty obvious and he's able to see what's going on clearly.
Now if there is any words of wisdom I can pass on to others in all my years of experience, its if you think your significant other is cheating, hire a fucking private investigator. They're goddamn good at what they do and they will get some evidence that really helps in the later divorce.Fast track to her birthday, several months down the road. Now I know what you're thinking, why the hell did I wait months before I confronted her and did it really need to be on her birthday? The answer to the first question is I wanted as much evidence as possible to hand off to my lawyer as well as make arrangements to find a new place to live, etc.
A good bit of advice that shouldn't be surprising to anyone here.
Answer to your second question is of course it had to be on her birthday. You see after asking her what she wanted to do on her birthday this year she was rather insisted on me going out of town with my friends as she just had to work anyways and didn't want to be reminded she was ageing. So I know something is up and after finding a bottle of champagne and two glasses hidden in my closest something in my snaps.
It's almost amazing how she can't even fathom that he can see right through what she's doing. I couldn't imagine being so god damn obvious cheating but maybe it's because I'm generally a paranoid person. I'm shocked she didn't just ask for another dick outright.
So I do what any sensible man would have done. I leave and go to my friends house pretending like I am going out of town. While there I call up her mother, father, sister and several of her friends. I tell them how I want to give her a big surprise by sneaking into her room with party streamers, kazoos and a big cake with candles. Sounds fun right?! Well boy was it.
I don't know how "redpill" this is but I applaud his acting skills to have pulled this off.
Its 8:30 in the morning and I have everyone met just outside our apartment. We all pile in the elevator (about 8 of us in total), her mother holding the cake and me reminding everyone to be as quiet as they can be. My put my key in and unlock the door, we all sneak in and make our way down the hall towards the bedroom. Each hold a kazoo and Mom holding the cake grinning from ear to ear.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been a video camera for the divorce proceedings, sounds like he had more than enough evidence though.
Well as I throw open the door and we all yell surprise. But the surprise was on us and there was my wife, bent over in doggy style position with her lover staring at us wide eyed mid thrust. Mom drops the cake, sister screams, father begins to shout. I pretend like I'm horrified to which her friends try to push everyone out while yelling at her.
This part I particularly love. There is no opportunity for her to bend others around her. She's exposed, in the most literal sense, to her most foundational support structure. There's no other explanation, she can't poison their mutual friends, no one will vouch for her shitty behavior on the spot because it's just so startling. What follows next is amazing though.
Wife, excuse me, ex-wife is sobbing and screaming how could I while the lover is desperately trying to put his pants on while running out of the place.
The following comes out later in the comments.
>As for my lovely ex, she literally just blamed everyone in the room. Blamed the parents for coming into our apartment without telling her, the sister for being a "bitch" (didn't understand that one at all), hell she even blamed the friends for not telling her about the surprise? She didn't try to explain herself to me, just called me name after name and threw stuff at me.
If you were to put Solipsism in a glass box this would be it.
It was so surreal, I had this expectation that she would be clutching me and try to stop me from leaving, telling me how sorry she was. I thought it would be like the movies. But no, there was the woman I had loved for 2 years screaming and hitting me, telling me I had ruined her relationship with this other guy. I guess in her mind she just completely stopped seeing me as her husband but more as just her roommate.
Make sure to sign her up for Rio in 2016, we wouldn't want to waste that talent in mental gymnastics.

He goes through all this to get his revenge on her, then he just rolls over in the divorce? He just "wanted to be done with it"? That doesn't make sense.
Also, with such a sort marriage, she shouldn't have "gotten half". They would have simply divided up the community property, and how much could there be after only two years?
Fsoprokon 11y ago
It is. I mean, come on.

I'd bet on -fake-.
In court, if he mentions the champagne he found hidden, or even the 11:30-Trip-to-Get-Milk suspicions...everyone will start accusing him of Setting Her Up. That's how hamsters roll.
The divorce might not even go so well after that- -especially if he gets a female judge.
colovick 11y ago
Probably explains why he still lost half of everything... It's funny that men are cruel for premeditating divorce if they know they're being cheated on in these situations... They'll say he should have left immediately with no planning, confronted her peacefully or gone to counselling to work on the issue... Hamsters gonna hamst
ThePragmatist42 11y ago
Presenting evidence of adultery doesn't really change many divorces. A lot of states are No Fault. Even the ones that aren't it would of only allowed him to get divorced not change the settlement.
Adultery would matter if it's listed in a Prenuptial. Then it would depend on what the prenuptial says. Also keep in mind that you can't prenuptial away things like child support.
The best thing you can do if you know you're getting divorced and you are the breadwinner is to take all of your savings and pay off all your debt and cancel the credit cards.
If she is vindictive she can max out all the cards and withdraw all the savings. You will then have to split what is left of that with her. You'll get all the debt and half of the cash or what's left. Creditors will always go after the one making the money.
Cancel the credit cards and pay off debt fast.

gekkozorz 11y ago
Yeah, if he'd have been making that shit up, he would have ended it on a more "realistic" note. Something involving the two of them mutually agreeing that this was the end of it and it was time for them to go their seperate ways.
Because it ended with the chick going 100% raging hamster (something non-RPers still don't recognize as being the rule, rather than the exception to it) I'm more inclined to believe it's a reality.
WhatDoesN00bMean 11y ago
Yep, the fact that they caught them during sex was too good to be true. But I didn't get the premise. I've never been invited to a surprise party where we all sneak in and surprise someone in their bedroom. LOL!
[deleted] 11y ago
It was morning and they were waking her up. Kind of makes sense to me.
WhatDoesN00bMean 11y ago
I sleep in the nude. I'd love someone to throw me a surprise party like that. Haha! Surprise!!
HahahahaWaitWhat 11y ago
No kidding.
This guy's wife felt completely comfortable telling him to his face that she was going out for milk at 11:30pm and not coming back until 2am? I have an extremely hard time believing that she would attempt this without being 100% certain that he has no balls. I think we can all agree that that's almost certainly the case.
So now we're supposed to believe that this clown, who couldn't even talk straight to his own wife, somehow found the stones to pull this off? Personally escorting her parents and friends into the bedroom? I don't fucking think so. Zero chance. Oh, and of course they happen to be in mid-thrust when everyone bursts in? How convenient that they weren't just cuddling, or making breakfast, or fuck, still sleeping.
Conclusion: I think every last bit of the story is true except the ending, which is what he wishes happened.
Pearhat 11y ago
I have no doubt that someone is going to pull that ending off someday and videos will leak.
Fuck_Your_Mouth 11y ago
Who the fuck barges in someones bedroom for a surprise party? How did they not hear two people fucking before they entered the room?
This sounds like a movie script, not reality
tempus_wor 11y ago
Yeah the part that got me was that they just happen to be going at it doggie style at 8:30 in the am, right when they walk in. A more realistic entrance would have been the two of them in bed together sleeping. Would not have been as sensational though. I get it you embellish the story for the sake of the readers, but this does not make it very believable.
HahahahaWaitWhat 11y ago
I can't really imagine this being approved by any kind of movie studio. Maybe one of those really long commercials.

True or not, the thing about blue-pill guys is, they're still men. Push them to their breaking point and suddenly they regain testicles. This is extremely common. It may come from a bitter place, not RP in that regard, but still, a drastic shift in behaviour. They become bulls in a china shop, whereas we try to harness that.

charlie_bodango 11y ago
Many people here say don't bother with revenge. I disagree. It sets a precedent that you are not to be fucked with. Its not (contrary to what they will say) make any women want to fuck you less. If they were going to fuck you, they'd fuck you anyway, but if they hear rumors about shit you've pulled like this (I'm not saying kill anyone, although when you got out of prison you'd probably get MORE girls) the girl who was already into you would hamster that this bitch was crazy and deserved it, she won by getting you, etc.
If everyone did shit like this, women would wise up real quick that fucking around would make them social pariahs. I don't think that women fear anything more than being publicly shamed, as this removed all of their power (manipulation) when everyone knows what they are. repeat this x 1,000 all over the country, and that bitch might think twice.
HahahahaWaitWhat 11y ago
You know, I may be reading you wrong, but it seems that you are recommending to waste untold hours setting up elaborate revenge schemes for the sole purpose of advertising yourself as a possible violent psychopath? And you also think this will help you with future women?
charlie_bodango 11y ago
Ok, first, violence is almost always a bad idea. Especially if you're doing it out of anger. That was more of a tangent that girls like the bad boy image of an ex con. If you killed someone and have 10 year worth of prison tats, some girls will see that as dangerous and exciting. I'm not recommending this as a life choice, but that guy who's generally shunned by society will be able to pull exponentially more ass than the programmer who works 16 hours per day at a startup and has a bit of a gut and social anxiety. And being a psychopath won't hurt your chances with girls either, if anything it will help. Girls who want to fuck you will rationalize away any horrible shit you've done because they want the D. Again, if it made sense, that computer genius from the startup would be getting the ass. Having a reputation as someone who can do crazy shit won't make you get less women but will effect the frame with which they interact with you. Now, if you're beta as fuck and periodically snap, that won't be attractive. But if you're alpha who someone knows will not hesitate to retaliate in triplicate to even the smallest slight, people will tread lightly. Case in point: Frank Underwood from house of cards (and really any politician).
So lets say its just some girl you've been seeing. Probably not worth it. You aren't invested, so you can walk away and call it a bullet dodged. But when shit gets serious like marriage or she's banging some junkie while having custody of your kids, then it becomes a problem and you have to strike fast and hard or else she can and probably will cause you or someone you care about irreparable harm. The legal system isn't on your side, and she knows she can fuck you with the unlubed fist of the law so you have to get creative. The threshold at which to act is individually dependent, but once that threshold is crossed, you are required to act. If you don't want to then you shouldn't put yourself in that position, and if you do nothing you will be seen as a pussy and one who can be taken advantage of. Respect, in this situation, is a zero sum game.
Now I don't think that violence makes a good revenge at all. It is unimaginative, and really not that scary anymore. Public shaming is better, and bringing someone's world crashing down around them like OP did is effective in that
Gus1961 11y ago
Agree this sounds too good to be true. Still - and purely out of curiosity - what would motivate people to make up these stories?

I have a PDF of the divorce laws and marriage property laws of each state with reference to the statutes. I should upload that here. There's about a dozen states that include that majority of the population where marriage is a very bad idea without a prenup.
Edit: http://ge.tt/1HWV1iL1/v/0?c Came from a 50 state survey of laws, 1-18 is grounds for divorce, page 19 is marital property.

If he had half a brain cell during those months he was watching her and he knew about her infidelity he would have taken steps to hide all his assets and rack up massive debts to make it look like he had no assets left, and to sting her with half the debts when the marriage ended. Women do this to men every time, even when the men haven't cheated and they are just bored and want a divorce, so why not do it back?
zeroday22 11y ago
This didn't really happen so don't worry about it.
notseriouslyserious 11y ago

If you are old and already have money, you hide that shit before marriage.
elevul 11y ago

RedBigMan 11y ago
Easier solution is to not get married. Prenups are thrown out all the time.
cormega 11y ago
I'm not an expert, but isn't understating assets like fraud 101 when it comes to this kind of thing?
[deleted] 11y ago
It's only fraud if you do it once divorce proceedings have been initiated, if your wife turns around one day and says "I'd like a divorce please", and then you try to hide assets, then you are committing fraud, however if you secure assets before any divorce proceedings, such as gifting cash to your best friend or relative to look after, then you legally haven't committed any fraud. It's not the court's business if the relatives may decide to give you the cash back one day, or they may not, who knows.
cormega 11y ago
So in that case you have to have someone you'd trust with a significant amount of money that isn't your wife. I suppose setting up a secret savings account before you're married that you never tell your wife about wouldn't be enough would it? Lawyers would go after that too?
Asoka11111 11y ago

Normally I'm pretty opposed to the concept of composing any sort of crazy revenge breakup scheme. There's no need for drama - if you find out a girl's not good for you, soft next and move on to a better one.
But for obvious financial and divorce related reasons, he was absolutely correct that he'd be needing a solid, A+ reason to leave her in order to present an airtight case to the court.
This is just such a reason. Eight first-hand witnesses, all of whom are close family. No support group to preen over her. No "he said she said" drama (in her girlfriends inevitably take her side, for reasons that have been discussed here before.)
Just an open and shut case.

Linoran 11y ago
I'm still baffled that she still got half his savings. How did that happen? There's no logic to it.
[deleted] 11y ago
That's how divorce procedures work here. To the court you were a blue and red crayon that became a purple crayon and instead of tossing out constituent parts they just break the crayon in half. It was actually good that this happened to him then (if it was going to happen) because his earnings weren't as good as they are now.
HalfysReddit 11y ago
When you get married you combine assets, you're not considered to have your own individual portions of the marital wealth.
This of course gets complicated when you factor in things like inherited money and possessions one owned before the marriage, but for the most part income earned while married is co-owned by both partners, regardless of who actually made the money.

Like the guy said, he was young so she didnt get much. I doubt two years is enough for alimony either. Guy didnt mention it so i assume he didnt have to pay out more.
cormega 11y ago
Is this still the case if the woman is the breadwinner?
notseriouslyserious 11y ago
Yes. I live in one and I know one women who lost her home to her drugdealing ex due to the asset split.
Essentially it fucks over whoever has more assets. In most cases it's men, but sometime a women gets caught in it as well.
[deleted] 11y ago
My ex-wife had a documented affair. It made absolutely no difference in the division of assets. I, like many others, assumed it would, but it was the harsh lesson that marriage and divorce have nothing to do with morality.
netwalker11 11y ago
I feel you bro. Exact same thing happened to me.
We need to work to overturn these no-fault divorces. I think if you have documented proof of infidelity it should at least put the balance in your favor 75:25 or 100:0.
Might keep some of these bitches in line...
johnnight 11y ago
Marriage is the biggest shit-test.
tsotha 11y ago
There was a good reason for no fault divorce, though. Where I live the old system was much more acrimonious. People hired private investigators. When it got to court both parties would lie like rugs, so the best liars had a big advantage. In your case you may have had documentation, but she may have been more careful if it was going to cost her money.
Feminists were big supporters of no fault, but statistically women aren't getting as much out of divorce as they did under the old system. It turns if you could get your pretty female client on the stand to cry for the judge it actually worked much of the time. Predictably, the feminists now want the old system back.
[deleted] 11y ago
My wife had no idea the affair would have zero impact. In fact, she assumed it would cause her trouble in the divorce when I found out. (She looked into the law shortly after.)
I've love to see some data on this if you have it handy.
tsotha 11y ago
I don't. It something I read in the newspaper before I stopped reading the newspaper. I'm not even sure that it's true, just that there are feminists who say it's true and are advocating for the old system because they think women will get more money.

This is a good story, but it doesn't mean anything in the context of no-fault divorce. The bitch will get half of his shit, and he might have to pay alimony. If they had kids, he would still have to pay child support. Judges don't care about infidelity. Boycott marriage.

That's a pretty insightful conclusion! Now that you point it out, I totally agree.
cormega 11y ago
Why would she be okay with the ambush then?
Silverbacked 11y ago
Any number of disfunctional family dynamics or stupidity:
The sister being jealous of not being "the favourite."
The sister being jealous of how the other sibling "always gets away with shit." (think Ferris Bueller's sister).
The sister being jealous because she's single and her sibling has two guys.
The sister was just dumb and thoughtless and it didn't occur to her that the affair would be going on when they arrived.
Because she's a bitch.
And so on...
[deleted] 11y ago
That's not really that shocking that the sister wouldn't want to tell him.
deptii 11y ago
Or tell her that she was about to get fucked.

My personal experience backs it up... It's possibly just a saying, but I've never found an issue with it
batman50 11y ago
That is something my grandmother used to say : somebody who treats there parents - when they are good people - bad, is someone you should be fair away from.

Read up here on all the big red flags..
[deleted] 11y ago
I can see how that's true, especially the way she treats her dad. She will treat you the same way in an ltr.
TheInkerman 11y ago
I've never heard of it either, but it kind of makes sense particularly in the context of relationships. If she treats her parents, who give her unconditional love and validation, like shit, she'll treat a guy who does the same thing the same way.
cooledcannon 11y ago
I know it seems like NAWALT but many people have shitty parents. I treat most people nicely, better than my parents. So you have to counter by how badly her parents treat her
[deleted] 11y ago
I haven't spoken with either of my parents in years, and you would not believe the amount of shit I get from absolute strangers if this happens to come up in conversation. Family relationships are a two-way street, but most people think you should put them on a pedestal and genuflect.
FinnianWhitefir 11y ago
Nothing specific, it's just a common dating advice thing, like how people say to watch how your date treats people who don't matter, like waiters. If she/he is a bitch to the waiter, then they are automatically a bitch to people they think are less than them. If they don't get along with their family, chances of them forming a stable close relationship with other people is bad.
So from a male perspective I would wager that seeing a girl treat her father with respect means that she'll treat in-charge males with respect. Her treating her mom with respect probably means she is willing to treat other females who she's in competition for attention with respect.
On the other hand, I ponder if it's different for women. It's a red flag if a guy is doting on his mother, perhaps she is looking for a guy who treats his mother kindly but aloofly, as she'll want that attention. And surely a guy needs to have a good relationship to his father but not defer to him.
ashurprovides 11y ago
It sounds about right to me. I think (barring cruel/abusive parents) you can accurately get a sense of whether a woman is respectful by how she treats them. If her mother, for example, has taught her to resent her father, she will probably be a bitch who won't care deeply for you or defer to you. Shit like that. I've seen it all around my social circle. Hell my own sister is an absolute entitled bitch to my parents, and to others too; I'm definitely the more respectful of the two sisters, and the only one of us with a RP based relationship. But this is just what I see in my friends/family/observe in others anecdotally, so take it with a grain of salt.
ayjayred 11y ago
Yeah, never heard that either. What I've heard is that the girl ends up looking like her mother. So if you want to see what your wife looks like 30 years from now, look at her mother.
spitenl 11y ago
haha, I've bailed on at least one girl for this exact reason.
Not sure I see myself being with anyone for 30 years anymore though.
chuckthebear 11y ago
It makes sense though, Wouldn't you liken it to the saying, you can tell what kind of a person the person you are with by how they treat those serving them. (I.E. waiters, maids, service staff in general)
ayjayred 11y ago
It makes sense akin to Bad people do Bad things (or cold water is cold), but still no one really says em..
chuckthebear 11y ago
It could just be a sort of local expression.
I know i've heard what i said from other peoples mouths before.
CouldntFindGudName 11y ago
That's just her hamster wheel spinning. It just shows how women cannot control their feelings even in dire situations. It just doesn't happen.
She never sees herself as the culprit, this is victim mentality at it's best. This is the first breakup story where i have laughed so hard.

Hate to say it, as much as I love this story, I'm calling bs. What are the odds that the wife and lover doesn't hear 6+ people sneaking up? And what are the odds mom and dad and crew don't hear wife and lover moaning loud before they open the door?
But good story though.

The her making off with half his assets kind of took away the impact for me a little.
theserpentsmiles 11y ago
Dude got married. That's the problem.
Anyone who gets married is basically betting half of their possessions (and possibly a chunk of their future earnings) that everything will work out.
cormega 11y ago
Yeah which is why the story wasn't really as satisfying to me. She got embarassed sure, but she made out like a bandit.
