I recently read this article titled The Edge of Consent. Whether it’s expressed, implied or enthusiastic it’s a necessity in today’s SMP. The issue for men today is that because of the feminist agenda; something so simple as defining the edge of consent has become the murkiest of issues. It needn’t be.

The only thing you have to do is ensure your actions are reasonably justifiable. In any circumstances that may you find yourself in a reasonable person; male or female; can look at your actions and say that they were reasonable.

For example; you invite a woman over to check out your guitar/pet iguana/Pokémon collection. At this point we all know what’s up. It’s not expressed but it’s implied that she’s consenting to being in your home, alone sharing a common interest or whatever. Perfectly reasonable. At this point you have no issues.

Now say you’re on your way up the escalation ladder. She’s putting up LMR and you’re handling it well. Freezing out/de-escalating and working through it. It’s reasonable that as you’re escalating she’s resistant. So you busy yourself with your phone/emails/Pokémon collection until she’s receptive. Totally reasonable. Once she’s receptive again full steam ahead. Obviously if you’re convinced your efforts are futile you’re going to pull the plug (also reasonable). At this point you have no issues.

The easy part: sealing the deal. I won’t dwell here but to say the only issue regarding consent are your actions post-coitus. I wrote a post ages ago about it and it’s THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU NEED TO DO: The After Text. Once you’ve received it you’re golden and you have no issues.

As long as at every point your actions are reasonably justifiable consent isn’t an issue.
