a FWB of mine always will say "dont tell me what to do" as a joke or to fuck with me whenever i say anything that she takes as me telling her what to do (but when we fuck she does what i say). For example, she asked me when i was free, i told her and then she told me saturday so i said "ill see you saturday at 6" and then she said "dont tell me what to do" I dont even think this is really a shit test, i dont know what exactly to call it but she's just giving me shit and i should just ignore it. I've fucked her quite a few times by now and she always says how hot i am and how she loves my dick, etc. Theres a few ways i could respond, I could either completely ignore that text and not respond, or I could ignore what she said and go on to make a completely unrelated joke or say something that is indirectly dismissive. Last time we hung out she said that to me in person and I just laughed really exaggerated out loud and I liked that response. what do you think?

It may be subtle and sound playful, but it's coming from a (perhaps subconscious) place of arrogance.
A woman telling a man (even in jest) "Don't tell me what to do" is the same as saying, "You have no authority over me, I will not submit to you. In fact, I'm imposing MY authority over YOU by telling YOU what to do (a.k.a. I command you to stop trying to command me)."
Perhaps it's just me, but I don't tolerate even the subtlest of arrogance. From what OP stated, it sounds like this subtle arrogance of hers has grown to be quite an annoyance. Eventually, it won't be a joke anymore, and she'll start to believe that she's the dominant partner in the relationship. You gotta nip that shit in the bud, and giving her "extra spanks" is only rewarding her for her misbehavior.

There isn't really enough context here to say whether she is playing with you, whether she actually feels bossed about too much, whether its some feminist nonsense she feels she "ought" to say because you have been very assertive with her in other ways, even if she has liked it.
Until you are sure what it is, I would play it light and take notes. There may be a place for walking away, spanking her or even talking about how she feels but to go down the wrong avenue would be counter productive.
