do you believe any relations with women are a net loss in the end? some men say that short term flings, long terms girlfriends, even wives, end up costing you more than what you gain, and that a man would be better off if it were possible to completely rein in sexual urges and be at peace with loneliness. on the other hand, some men say that their partners fulfill the role of a muse and give them inspiration and creativity - but i wonder if these same men could somehow find a way to be just as productive without women in their lives?

at least 50% of the time marriage is a net loss (see divorce rates in USA).
Outside of marriage plates and FWB I would say are a net gain (if you’re doing it right you’re basically spending $0.00 in your interactions; free pussy). LTRs probably 50:50 net loss/minimal gain (risk of emotional damage, probably going to spend more $ on dates than she will etc vs good memories and maybe she improves certain aspects of your life etc).

Yes.
But the question you have to ask: "am I getting what I'm paying for?"

I keep saying it over and over: the only thing a woman can give you is legacy. They can birth your offspring. Now that is worth something. All living organisms want to achieve immortality by passing on copies of their genes into the gene pool.
Fundamentally, men and women are so different that they will never be at peace. They only reason they get together is to reproduce. Quick thought experiment - what if humans could self replicate, without the need for the opposite gender? I'll tell you - they wouldn't go near each other. The otherness would create a seething hatred of the other side. Quite quickly, they would move out of each other's countries. You would have all female and all male countries. Then, because woman are incapable of behaving rationally or honestly, they would violate the peace agreements and just try and take too much of our stuff, our liberty. And then the men countries would have had enough, and they would just eradicate women. All of them, for all time.
The only point of inter-gender relations is reproduction. There is no other point. Deep down, we all know this, both men and women.
But it's not 'nice' to know this, so we cover it up with victorian fantasies of 'romance'. We kid ourselves that we all want 'love and companionship'.
The huge sacrifice that a man must make when he pairs up with a woman is only ever 'paid' for when the female bears him children. And even then, the sacrifice is huge.
Choose wisely.

If you have capacity to eradicate all of women, then why would you do it?
If there is still pleasure that can be had, then I'd rather enslave.
Saying that, benevolent dictator is kind of that. It can be done, but ofc is not easy.

You sound like an incel.

No not necessarily.
A girl can be completely in love with you and your co-captain in your life's journey. She can cook for you, make your home life easier, and fucks you well when you come home from a long day out. She can make sure your place is nice & tidy and in turn you protect her.
For the external world however, a group of men all working towards a vision is POWERFUL. Especially if youre dealing with top-tier men.

No.
Find a women who complements your life.
You also can't get something of value in exchange for nothing. The kind of value that attracts such women requires effort, and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships requires effort
Too many mofos on here think if you're just alpha™ enough that you can just grind and then reap the benefits dgaf with zero relationship management

Very true.

(Are women always a net loss for men)?
Depends upon what you want. What you get out of it.
For many men, it comes down to wanting kids, etc.
For some, it comes down to, I don't have time to waste going after new girls, would rather have one at home. Key to that is a girl who's worth it, adds value, can take care of your needs, etc.
Can you be productive without women? Sure, but shit, even as an old man, I got to F a girl regular. Sometimes I wish I didn't have that urge/need.
Musicgoon78 3 1y ago
Sounds like a sour grapes mentality. I call this a vicious cope.
Lets see relationships give you sex, support, companionship, an activity partner, good stories. And overall someone in your corner that plays a complimentary role in your life.
Marriage on the other hand is a loss before you sign the paper.
Most guys on the planet are either in shit relationships or are salty about women and take a nihilistic view of women.
A constant power struggle is just that. It's not a relationship. It's hot garbage.

In terms of net gain -its rare. Briffault's law suggests it will in general be a net loss.
My own father managed a net gain -married an heiress, who spent it all generously but not too wisely on the family, when she died he inherited her half of a large house, took that inheritance on to spend on his much younger second wife (to some disappointment on the part of his children).
My observations form this are that;

It possible. It requires intelligence and effort. A guy has to know how to vet before marrying. Most guys don't. They marry the first thing that shows them attention. Combine that with the BP and your dead. However I know a guy just like this who got lucky. The women today past 50 years are for the most part not worth the effort related to the risks. Women need to be retrained. Past generations of men, not you guys, have created this situation.

As long as you know when to walk away, you can of course extract value from all sorts of women, for all sorts of arrangements. Don't be needy, don't overstay your welcome, and you'll probably find a net positive.
The dealings I've had with women, and which I regret, are few and far between. Mostly, it was fun for a while (until it wasn't), I learned some things, and I got out without too much consequence.
