I'm doing pretty well socially, but my social status is much better in some groups than others. What can I do in order to increase my social status in these groups?
Any advice or personal experience you can share?
Thanks

Different groups value different things.
Succeed in those things & you will be valued. Assertiveness & a strong personality is respected in all groups besides maybe the woke ones. Do not aim to please all groups, stick to your principles.
Indicator of value in any social group is having multiple women interested in you romantically.
Getting jacked = more respect. Success in business = more respect. Confidence = more respect. This is universal.
I personally never think about this shit as whether the group likes me has no bearing on how I act. I simply leave groups that do not favor me. If you're successful with women you will garner a lot of hate & jealousy from other men. If you are assertive or tell it how it is, you will be hated by some & loved by others.
Lead your own social group.

Can you expand on strong personality? I’m having a difficult time even having a personality in a few groups I’m in.
Most recently was a pickleball club and I feel like I have nothing to say to anyone.

Characteristics:
I'll give you some examples to illustrate:
Those guys are more extreme examples. You don't have to be extroverted like Tate, or as nuts as David Goggins. You can have a strong character in your own quiet way if thats the type of man you are.
In regards to your pickleball club, maybe its because you're trying to only talk about pickleball. I can socialize with anyone dude, just state an observation about them or ask them about something they got thats interesting. You're entitled to speak up because you're the fucking man (in your own reality). Doesn't matter what they think.

Telling it how it is can get dangerous really fast. People that like what you say rarely come to defend you against people who you've pissed off. Negative moves people far more than the positive.
Agree with the rest of your comment though. Good stuff!

Correct. A socially intelligent person should be able to guage his environment and know when to do such things. I mean for most general social conventions where nothing is really on the line besides what other people (who do not pay your bills) think of you.
For things where the outcome does matter (you will lose your income source, etc), play the game.
However I would note: a position that compromises your authenticity but gives you $$$ is not worth it if you aspire to be a free man. Of course we cannot always control the variables in these situations but I'd always aim to choose the path of highest power & self respect, and if you must submit, use that as motivation to get into a position where you can be in charge.

Social status = power plus value to that particular group.

Be careful not to increase your social status too much, or you'll be in the same difficulty as @Testme
