So I decided to bite the bullet and download tinder and to my surprise, it’s working pretty well. I get 6-7 matches a day and they usually answer positively to my "out there" openers.

HOWEVER.

After a few messages back and forth, I ask for their number, which they always give out. So I add them to my contacts and text, introducing myself (usually a few hours between them giving me their # and me texting them).

And then they become ultra unresponsive. I’m talking hours left on delivered, ghosted twice even. It’s hard to get to meeting them when they barely reply to your messages.

Any idea as to why this shit happens by text conversations but does not happen at all on tinder? It’s confusing af
