Long story short, early 20s, I come from 0 (not exaggerating), doing barely well, killing myself in two jobs, but managing it, got a promotion on both, been like that for almost 1 year now, and my calculations are: I could arrive at 30 - 32 years old with $400k net (in savings) as my net worth (or probably more) if I keep this 80-100 hour/week as a software engineer, saving every penny, living with just covering rent, basic needs, etc
Downside: will destroy my 20s, will be miserable (already I am, and was in the past, so not much to lose here, my life has been always shit anyway so it's not like I'm gonna be missing on parties or whatever, as I have been kind of closed on my shitty room from some time ago, terrible infancy, blue pilled AF, incel, fat nerd on hs, didn't go to college, no friends, etc)
My plan: get that money, be able to hopefully buy a home, and start living life like a red pill guy. I feel like if I don't do this, my 30s and all the rest of my life will be a complete piece of shit, it's like my last chance to be someone, to get in the way to be Chad in the future (hopefully in 30s as my SMV rises, to at least enjoy 1 decade in this fucking thing that people call life)
Any thoughts?

There’s more to life than money. 400k would not go far at all anyways
Idc what red pill guys say, the best time of your life to meet the hottest chicks and have the most fun is in your 20s. Not your 30s-40s.
Cut back on the work bro. Enjoy life

How much money should I aim for? I'd be literally selling my soul for 400k, don't think I can go higher than that, at least not in a decade with my skill level :/ sounds like I must pay the fucking price of the fucking family that gave me nothing but fucking problems regardless of doing as much as I can. The only way would be like becoming an entrepreneur and launching something awesome (highly unlikely as the odds of success are very very low)
Doesn't the SMV increase is just at that age for the guys who did the job (that have money, etc)?
I'm seriously thinking about this, the thing is, how can I handle the thought of not having gone all the way, like not trying everything I could when I reach 30s and 40s still renting, would feel like a fucking failure in life, and at that age, no women (unless low value, fat, with tons of red flags, etc) would like to at least kiss me

I am a few years away from being 30 years old. But I dont know even if my smv increases I still have the feeling that the 20-30 are the best years. I studied most of the time during this years so I had plenty of time to build a fundament and date some chicks. Its just a win win situation. When you are working and have a business I can imagine its getting more time consuming

Has that been your experience? Because I’m basically doing what the OP is doing apart from I’m not working, I’m going to college and working on my purpose as soon as I get home 7 days a week flat out.
The reason I’m not seeing my friends, taking a break from girls is because I want to start a business and start making money because I feel hopeless competing with other guys around my age range( who work and maybe sell drugs on the side)I’m 6’3 btw and quite good looking. I’m just going to college and am on universal credit which isn’t a lot.
Surely you can still pull 18 year olds at 30 right? Rollo says men reach their peak at 33-36?

To be honest, the red pill video creators have a lot of bias and say shit to give ppl hope and keep coming back.
They say looks money and status, which is true, but when it comes to getting laid looks and personality is everything. I’ve banged some bad chicks living upstairs at my parents house.
But if you say looks are hugely important and aren’t attractive, most guys ask themselves why they should even try.
You can balance work life and girls.
I’ve racked up an N count of 60+ while also running a company with 26 employees - at 23.
Day one or one day… you decide. You can either tell yourself “I’ll get chicks when I’m 30 and have $” or you can start now and enjoy it as long as you want.
I have yet to encounter a girl that cared about how much money I have. Why would you want a girl to fuck you for your money anyways?
So yes, I think 20s is when you’re in your male physical prime if you’re trying to peruse ppl our age. No girl in her physical prime is gonna fuck a man in his 30s-40s because she’s genuinely attracted without some outside motive like money or comfort, etc.
Blingo123 4y ago
They care to an extent as long as your not completely broke that’s what I’ve come to realize.
Blingo123 4y ago
Tbh I’d rather be a rich beta than a broke chad
Jocbro 4y ago
Not me. I’d rather have a happy medium if I had to pick.
But you can be a rich alpha too
Blingo123 4y ago
Imagine you have a 6 bedroom house with a swimming pool, own bar, cinema, gym, butler, private chef etc and you bought a girl round. Wouldn’t that be a better standard of living than a “happy medium”.
Tbh after the age of 22-24 women are just money hungry sluts.

Yeah but my point is that you don’t have to be in monk mode or cut contact with chix to accomplish that. You can do those in conjunction

nothing wrong with that, but consider:
Imo time is your most valuable asset, as in once it's lost it can never be regained. I still think you focusing on your work is a good choice, but personally I wouldn't go 100%.
Best of luck regardless.

well, it would be bad for me, I wouldn't develop social skills at all, but I mean, I could take a year at that point to just mess up with every girl and learn (after having that money). When I hit my 30s I would definitely need to start at step 0, by going to the gym to recover all the shit I put my body into, all the stress, etc, starting to look for friends on hobbies, going to MMA, etc.. and start with HB 4-5 to learn, or maybe hookers. so to answer your question, it's not like I get the 400k and I would be immediately Chad, once I get that I would start the path to become Chad, right now I have all the theory and know where to look for once the need arises (books, sidebar, reddit search, etc)
yes, I may become fat, develop mental issues, idk..
if 400k is bad, imagine 250k, it will be even worse like I did nothing with my life when I reach my 30s :/ ... but yeah I could make that with just 1 job at 40h/week, and hopefully more if I get promoted in the way or find a better gig
what's time without money? I'm not a born genetic Chad, I don't have the traits to just go out there and attract women, I need money to make up for most things, and not even selling my soul by working like a MF would be enough so that makes me fucking wonder what is the way to go in this fucking life

Brother, you need to find some balance. It's not hard to work moderately, invest income, live comfortably, and fuck women. You've already got the career. Maybe you need a different job in the same field.
mattyanon Admin 4y ago
Money won't solve your problems later.
Find a balance: lots of money but at least some experience of women now.
Otherwise you are heading towards beta bucks territory. Lift, be fit, get slim, the money is for you but will not make you happy later.

I'm also in my early 20s.
I'm taking the entrepreneur route
You can slave away but it'll take away from other aspects in your life. I focus 4 hours of my day doing deep work honing my sales skills, my advice would be to invest in your own skills so you can control your life later on, that's just me though.
Don't look at life as a transaction, if you slave away 10 years, in the end, you still slaved away 10 years. Detach yourself from your future goals and just focus on the satisfaction of day to day winning.

Being rich is very good but being happy and healthy are both the most valuable shit in life

I can probably retire on $400k while supporting a wife and 2 kids. Start investing early and often. The #1 investment you can make is in yourself. $22/mo gym membership and 3 hrs/wk will do just fine. Dental, medical, mental health... all of that comes first.
I burned out in computers in my 30s. You can only relearn the whole dev library so many times and it seems like it changes every year. And then all the language changes. One day it's all C++ and then next it's all PHP and then the next it's ruby on rails and yada yada. Oh and don't even get me started on ERP systems.
The end goal for you should be to own the means of production. In your case that would be the software and the software company. You should be investing in that. Whether it's time or money, you need to be putting something into that. Maybe it's a quickbooks plugin or a firefox plugin in the beginning.
Ultimately you'd be able to quit your shitty job and work 80hrs/wk for yourself. Over time hire out the work and live off the profits of other people working 80hrs/wk for you.
