Girls don't view this in the same way guys think they will. Their decisions are driven by ego and wanting to be "part of the herd".
For guys it's more analgous to your ex-boss texting you about how he just hired a new person at 3x times your salary. Your reaction can range depending on circumstances - from anger, to "oh that's cool", to "do you have any other openings? I want to get hire at that rate next".
While no one has ever sent me a picture of someone else's nakedness, several girls have "accidentally" sent me messages in an attempt to ping me to tell me they're interested without the ego-risk to them of being direct.
