Trying my best not to fall into the temptation of junk food, porn, or being a simp for a woman. But goddamn. When you're not doing any vices and just straight up taking life to the face. Fuck man. It is brutal.
I have a lot of stress from work, family, trying to lose the weight, and I don't know... it's overwhelming. I feel absolutely alone.
I used to just numb myself with porn, video games, and junk food. Now the stress is fucking surreal and I'm holding all of it on my shoulders like Atlas.
I feel like a prisoner... I work a lot.. I don't go outside to drink or eat because I'm watching what I eat and seriously committed to changing my body & mind for the best.
Now they're talking about shutting everything the fuck down. AGAIN. I don't understand.. is this gonna be what life gonna be like for now on? Constantly struggling? Is this the life of a Man?
I have no outlets except lifting. I don't know what else to do to let go of stress other than writing it on the TRP. I'm angry and sad. They come in waves. Do I just get stronger over time?
Any help would be welcomed or advice on the phase of my journey.

Yeah I'm just not understanding why it's tempting to eat junk food, watch porn, and simp for women. It's not tempting to me. Maybe I've been on my path long enough I can't remember that stuff. Maybe my brain has been rewired to seek dopamine from better sources. Instead of telling you to just keep doing the same thing, I'm going to tell you to do something different. I just went in to sign up for kickboxing classes and holy shit hot chicks everywhere. I just went snorkeling in the lagoon and holy shit underwater megaverse. There's a whole world out there, you just gotta explore it and find what you like.

I mean, yes. Our task on this earth is to come to know, love, and serve God, and we are not to find happiness here--this place is the test. So nihilistically running around serial fornicating is going to result in a great hollow unhappiness. Ultimately you should find your fulfillment in God through religion (ideally the Catholic Church since, you know, Jesus literally set it up), but if you're not going to do that, the next best thing to do as you go through life trying to attach meaning where there otherwise isn't any, will be to have a solid marriage with a good wife and raise children. As all TRP members should know, the USA is a tough place to find a good wife, but the Midwest and the South sound more promising for that. If you can go abroad, South America, Eastern Europe should have good options for this.

Things became a lot, and I mean a hell of a lot, easier once I switched careers and found something I enjoyed doing. Actually liking your work and your colleagues is a huge boost because it's what you spend most of your time doing. I find I don't need vice crutches when I'm satisfied at work.
For me it's teaching. It's a social job but it also has an academic side to it to keep your mind stimulated. It means I've resigned myself to never being wealthy, but I'd much rather take the job satisfaction I get over a high paying job that makes me miserable. And who knows, maybe I can open my own business in a few years. Plenty of others have done it and I am good at what I do and am willing to work hard so why not eventually?

I love teaching. I also hate being poor. Go read The Millionaire Teacher. The techniques are out-dated now but if you go on TDAmeritrade and take their classes you should be able to make bank. By this time next year I should have made my first million.

The problem most people have is they forget what it is to marvel at life. They move quickly towards nothing. No goals, no good connections to people, no life and no honesty with anyone. This is including themselves. This is your ride, your story, what did you want to tell?
The biggest problem is people forget to have fun. It not hard to enjoy yourself if you're striving towards things you love and surrounding yourself with good people from building your tribe. I've smoked weed it's not that fun. And feeling sorry for yourself sucks. There's a lot of cool shit out there. Good music, good people, wild sex, motorcycle rides in the moonlight etc. Start enjoying your life. No one can tell you how do that.

Are you getting laid?
Let them all be as they are. Stop trying to fix things. Stop trying to fix other people.
Focus on yourself, focus on what you CAN do. Do that. Ignore everything else.
This lifestyle isn't working for you. Add some fun back in. Socialise more.
Yes, and you learn to let go of a lot of shit too. Let it wash over you and then ignore it and get on with something productive.,

It is tough being a man.
Are you healthy? That's awesome, be thankful and take care of yourself.
You don't have kids or a wife, etc. Ok, you have a lot of free time = freedom. Make the most of it.
Like others have said. it's your life, find out what you enjoy for work, you have to make money so find something you enjoy doing and are good at it and can make a living at the standards you want.
Make relationships, family and friends. It's hard, I have a very hard time with this also. I don't like most people and they probably don't like me, I"m a bit rough/honest. Snowflakes melt near me. I've committed to making more time finding guys I relate to for relationships and taking steps toward it.
You aren't alone

It takes struggle to reach success, that's why everyone are not millionaires or physically in shape. Because it takes some pain to get what you what and most of the time, people rather avoid that pain then face it. So keep up the good habits man, it will be worth it in the end.
