after reading "Models", I started approaching every girl that I felt strong vibe about. I got rejected 3/3 times, but all of them said "thank you" in the end, just like I would validate them or tell them a compliment. Is it possible they see genuine attraction on my side or... what the fuck is all about this "thank you" deal?

You keep going with the direct approach. I'd suggest trying indirect approaches with the really hot babes. Unless you're significantly high SMV (be honest with yourself) direct approach doesn't normally have a high rate of success because the female will see you as just another beta orbiter (good game will neutralize this greatly).
As for your tall unicorn, abundance mentality. I guarantee you theres another even hotter 6'5 babe with a phat ass that will ride your dick into the sunset out there waiting for you.
