Secular marriage is a piece of paper, nullified at will by lawyers and a judge. It is not a contract. Selfishness kills marriages dead, it is the #1 cause of divorce.

Holy Matrimony, for those who are able to obtain it, is a lifetime, monogamous, relationship, of one man and one woman, where both partners love each other (real love = unselfishness). Both husband and wife are partners, willing to carry each other's responsibilities and burdens. Unselfishness is REQUIRED.

If you looked at why marriage in America worked you have to look at America pre feminism. This is why people have grandparents that were together from 20 to the end of their lives. Society was different. Things were built to last a long time or were patched to maximize their life. Simple example, mens work pants or jeans. If they got a hole they were patched and you got more years out of them. Things were built to last, today everything has a planned obselence.

If something breaks, you throw it out and buy a new one. Jeans ripping, throw them out but a new pair. We're a world of instant gratification. Something you want? Whip out your phone type it into Amazon and its at your door in two days.

Now introduce feminism into this mindset. "You don't need a man to care for you, you can do it yourself". Women are earning just as much if not more than men. "Your body your choice". You know what you're right, it is my choice. I can do what I want with whoever I want because I don't need a man to care for me, I have my own place, buy my own food, have my own car. "Relationship problems? You don't have to settle" You're right I can put a few pictures of myself on the web and have 20 or more guys DAILY interested in meeting me.

Instant gratification, disposable everything, even relationships. However what stayed were the laws pertaining to marriage when women couldn't easily go out and get a job and were supported by men. See it was assumed years ago that a married woman would stand by her man and if the man didn't want that then it was on him. However women started to hamster and long for other things and instant gratification became a way of life. So as women started to realize the hole between their legs could be weaponized without recourse or penalty. Because the law favored them and being slutty were no longer frowned upon in their minds and men still wanted to be inside them regardless. Marriage allows women to be kids in a candy store who all have rich parents giving them anything they want.

Marriage is a fundamentally outdated concept.

Even ignoring the countless, countless gender war related problems and female problems that make them colossal liabilities in any and all capacities...

It is as you say, you are buying reproductive rights. Except her fertility drops off a cliff when she hits the wall around age 30, often sooner now because of poor diet, drinking, drugs, etc. It looks down Wile E Coyote style and then hits bottom at menopause but you're not getting healthy children well before that point.

Marriage is a lifetime contract. Except... back then when it actually worked a lifetime was something that generally ended before age 30 and now average life expectancy is in the 70s, 80s, 90s... So before you get a few years out of her and make some kids and now... even if sudden yet inevitable betrayal via divorce rape does not happen she's still around... and you're still paying for her even though she cannot do her part for another 5-6 DECADES.

Once you do consider all of those things I said ignore previously, you realize that not only is marriage outdated as a concept it's an unenforceable contract. About the only means something like that could work out now is set leasing terms. She's all yours age 18-25 and you get your kids while she can still make them. Then you're not paying for someone who cannot do their job anymore and they can go be all strong and independent or whatever. People get really edgy when you suggest anything like that though especially if the man just leases another new model.

Marriage is a construct that fundamentally favors the rulers:

• fighting age men were killing each other to get access to poon
• locks a man down into civilian society after they are done being useful as killing machines (Roman empire’s biggest peace time problem was how to keep the legion’s veterans from overthrowing the emperor)
• stops the rulers from having to deal with bastards
• Severely limits the ability of women to assist enemies (Swedish refugees welcome signs held by well educated women comes to mind). Married women were pregnant, nursing, and taking care of their families-grounded in reality.

Once you lock down the young men, you remove the number one instability in society (the black September terrorist group was wiped out by marrying them off and turning them into parents).

So now the women with the assistance of dumbfuck men have unlocked the gates of Hell. So what happens next?
