January is here, which means it's time for everyone to make New Year's resolutions! Married Fat Dad Pill has to figure out how to get in shape without disrupting the goofy beer dad lifestyle. Feminists are doing their best to make Western women even more sterile and undateable. Self Help Motivation Sphere is gonna say some shit about one percent improvement everyday or whatever. Everybody wants to make a better horse carriage. But nobody wants to make the car. In other words, everybody wants to play within their rules. Nobody wants a Red Pill.
A Red Pill is a radical rejection of the system. In fact we're so good at rejecting the system, that the system went out of their way to try to de-radicalize us. First there was the Good Man Project. Then they deployed the term Toxic Masculinity to shame us. When that didn't work they set up a quarantine. Now if you want to read a GaylubeOil masterpiece you have to click through a warning that says something to the effect of: Are you sure you want to hang out with Toxic Bad Boys? Wouldn't you rather compliment our Gone Wild Butt Sluts or discuss video games?
The whole thing has an infantilizing maternal quality to it. Reddit Mommy knows best, because you're her little boy. If anyone finds out that you're a Red Pill Bad Boy they're gonna tell Reddit Mommy, or Twitter Mommy, or YouTube Mommy or any number of other technocratic Robo Mommies. What if your no one's little boy, but your own man? When did you agree to abide by Mommy Morality?
The problem is that the logos of matriarchy is the logos of castration. When anything is sublimated to female logic it becomes stagnant, boring, rule bound and standardized. Let's run through some examples. The more women participate in a conversation the less original it is. Ocasio Cortez is pedaling a flat middle school socialism because she's duller and less outgoing then Fidel Castro. Hollywood is in an uncreative dark age ever since it replaced their Jew perverts with fat unqualified women. The University has been stripped of controversial discourse and vigour. Why? Because female intelligence is clustered around the mean and women prefer stability to discovery. Women are the harbingers of “stagnant productivity”, busy work which ultimately results in nothing.
This is the environment that modern men grew up in and spend the majority of their time: a mommy approved daycare where everyone and their feelings are safe. The external environment of the modern man is mirrored in his internal environment. Internally the modern man is a permanent child. The modern man doesn't want to fight compete or struggle. He wants to have fun. He castrates himself so he can stay in mommy daycare forever and never have to endure the hardships of masculinity.
The modern man is in a state of passive stupor, obsessive pleasure seeking, impotence, and depression. He's a child who's been left at the daycare too long. He's bored of playing but doesn't know how or have the drive to do anything else. He wants to climb out of the pleasure pit but he also wants to pleasure himself while he does it. That why AskTRP is on the constant lookout for fun ways to be alpha. Fun alpha movies, fun alpha pick up lines and books but only if they are fun easy to comprehend and alpha! This hedonic dysphoria is a prison without walls because it's self imposed.
The only way out of Mommy Daycare FunZone is to consciously reject it. Maybe start by telling yourself that you're a grown ass man who doesn't need to be having fun all the time. A lot of possibilities become available when you don't spend hours smiling at a fluorescent screen. Life is a struggle in which man must win himself a worthy place in the world, whether physically, intellectually or artistically. Ultimately you have two choices. You can either jerk off to the lives of others, never having lived your own. Or be a toxic Red Pill bad boy and live your own life outside Mommy Daycare FunZone.

Cocopopo3 5y ago
But every guy out there is having quite fun and being a real alpha, it is diffrent, having fun is important.Being a man might be about being strong and not having fun but being clever is about being strong while having fun, you talk bullshit.

NormalAndy 5y ago
' The modern man doesn't want to fight compete or struggle '
I'm not so sure about that. Deep down, it's what we were built to do while the mission makes us feel alive.
Having fun is just the path we are led down when fighting, competing and struggling are being demonized. The alternative to overcoming a life of struggle should be preparation for overcoming a life of struggle rather than just taking it easy too often.

I squeeze as much fun out of a day as I can, always have been known as “the fun guy”. I still work 40, workout 5-7, and work 5 on a side venture. It has certainly helped me pound 35+ pussies as a 5’6 elf looking mofo but it has also led me down dark paths with alcohol and addiction.
At my blue collar job most people look miserable or they walk around like they got a giant stick up their asshole, I refuse to be like that. I get my shit done but I joke around constantly and try to inject as much fun into the job site as possible. It’s a subtle fun though, my social awareness is high enough I know when to lay off the bantering.
I just can’t imagine being somewhere 40 hours a week and dreading it. Most people love being around me because of that energy, which a lot of employers notice and it has helped me go from making 9.50 an hour to 21 an hour currently with a chance of 25 an hour in 3-5 years.
I do test as ESFP, the Entertainer, on MBTI. That might explain my viewpoint
SKRedPill 5y ago
"Fun" is killing an entire generation from facing discomfort as it is - which is vital to mental strength and growth. Ultimately misery can only be conquered by not running away from it, and then realizing one day that "Hey, this does matter for my evolution."
Feelinggood702 5y ago
Focusing on the fifth and sixth paragraphs: “a mommy approved daycare where everyone and their feelings are safe“
Is this a symptom of the agricultural and industrial revolutions? Point is, that men are the way they are as most are content to obtain just the basic necessities? Looking back on the 20/80 rule, followers of men were accepting of the trickle down of said necessities from their leaders since the dawn of man? And today, since everything is more easily attained (as far as material possessions go, and as far as women go, hell an average male can just find one he’s completely incompatible with but provides resources for), there is far less physical exertion and the weaknesses most men have are therefore more noticeable (“stupor”)?
Feelinggood702 5y ago
It’s like you’re drawing this romantic view of how things are. Seems like something a dictator would have as a speech
cupshadow 5y ago
I have read this before here, that you don't need to have fun all the time. Okay, I can live with that.
But where do you draw the line between real work and pleasure time? How much pleasure should you be having? Can you have pleasure in your work? Or enjoyment and pleasure are two different concepts?
Real, honest question.
machinephilosophy 5y ago
I'd say start with Harry Browne's How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World and Shad Helmstetter's What to Say When You Talk to Yourself.
Then plow into all kinds of self-help and empowerment content, composing insights into how to fix and progress in your life, as specific self-talk affirmations as you go. Works for me. Your mind is like a hard drive---treat it as such and reprogram 24/7.
Otherdirectedness and exposure to constant corporate golf-drunk media is toxic. A non-reading lifestyle just compounds the problem. Ghost the small-cap(illary) alcoholics and cultural treadmillers.
Concerning the shutting down of free speech, there has to be some way to counter this, but the solution probably resides in future developments of blockchain social nets. I don't see why there can't be a bittorrent-like post/chat social networks solution, but so far I don't see anything like that even on the horizon.
Thank you for your comments.

The strength of the men is our raw power. Obviously as we see in the modern day men are susceptible to the subtle, psychological games that women play. However the inverse is also true; women are weak and helpless against mens sheer power. Enforce a woman to the standards of men and watch her crumble; she'll break down and cry and make excuses for why its not her fault........cough-cough-dashcon-cough. This is the basis of frame, avoiding oneitis and putting mission first. So long as a man holds his inner strength to walk away and wields his overwhelming power to enforce his will on the feminine, there really isn't much women can do about it. I'll go a step further and say that the gluttony and hedonism of the present day isn't just because of mens debauchery; obviously we have no one but ourselves to blame, but I also think that the depravity we live in is a powerful method of keeping men from wielding their strength effectively against women. When men live day to day lives of rigor, danger and vitality then they aren't gonna be scared from a five foot ten bitch being in a bad mood at them. They aren't going to indulge in gluttony and commercial and material self worth. Imagine if men stopped basing their worth on money; half our economy would fucking collapse in a month. So I don't just think that its a product of our times; I see the use of pleasure as a distraction as a deliberate method of control just like the corruption of the education system, the fucked up cultural double standards, and the mental programming that they use to keep the blue pills plugged in.
truthiesttruth 5y ago
while the sentiment is spot on, i do think you gloss over the fact that these hedonistic timeburners are very addictive and the indoctrination begins at a very young age.
you wont fix the generation that grew up on their nintendo 64. these cretins are beyond lost.
you fix this problem by raising the next generation correctly and i think the best way to do that is to force your sons to play competitive sports. im not talking about ones where you can receive brain damage since we are living in a cerebral intelligence based economy, but there are other sports, particularly team sports, which will require your sons to deal with:
a. teamwork
b. not being the best
c. continual practice for self improvement
d. failure
etc etc the list never ends.
competitive sports are one of the last avenue men have to raise their sons properly.

SPOILERS INBOUND:
When you climb sweating and cursing out of the pleasure pit, or gnaw your own leg off at the calf where it’s been ensnared by the cuddly trap of modern convenience, you will be in the rare company of some men (and even women!) who strive for a difficult but rewarding life- what the stoics would call ‘virtuous.’
More to the point, the entire complex of an overplush coddled society, the entire “Mommy daycare,” as it were, serves to put big ol’ fetters on yer gams.
When the world is designed to weaken its populace, who benefits?
Ultimately, does this serve the abstract Feminist movement most? I don’t think so. The fairer sex is just as hobbled, maybe moreso.
Who benefits by exploiting the weak? Always the strong. TRP, in two words: become strong.
Nothing has changed since Caesar spoke about how to control the masses, but now the bread is all trans fats and the circuses fit into your pocket.
redpill77 5y ago
I believe that there are plenty of rich guys that employ unseen tactics to weaken and divide the populous because they believe an oligarchy must be established for their own security.
saucierlol 5y ago
Western countries are already oligarchies for the most part. They ve succeeded with mainly two things: sugar and silicon, as I like to say. An oversimplification, probably, but sounds nice.
I m a pessimist, borderline nihilist by nature but if there is a sliver of hope for the next generations to regain control over their lives, it may come from the very thing that the ruling elites intended for us to be our mind prison, the internet.

This was the most impactful to me: "A lot of possibilities become available when you don't spend hours smiling at a fluorescent screen." Strong work GLO. I enjoy your shitposts too, but I like when you take it serious because you drop gold.
Men are like working dogs. We are happiest and most fulfilled when we are pushing against resistance. We need to overcome obstacles, solve problems, and work towards our goals. Most men think that satisfaction will come from between a woman's legs or at the bottom of a bottle or the end of a joint.
Satisfaction comes from the struggle
ThinSpiritual 5y ago
I need to rethink everything I know about masculinity from this perspective.
guyau 5y ago
Struggle for or towards something though. Struggling for strugglings sake is absurd; go get yourself enslaved in some shit, meaningless underpaid labour job and see how empowering struggling is. TRP often talks about being antisystem, but in so many ways it's still operating on liberal ideology (axiological neutrality). I want to know what's worth struggling for.
Omnidempotent 5y ago
You will need to step outside TRP if you want to find that. You need to find an ideal and turn it into reality. Some call this process a mission.

https://highexistence.com/22-stoic-truth-bombs-marcus-aurelius-will-make-unfuckwithable/
Discomfort is an inevitable part of life. You can only choose how you see it. Seeking discomfort can actually make you more resistant to it.

We are anti fragile in nature. The way we grow is by confronting conflict of sorts and adapting to it. Hope this helps. Lots of other good replies as well!
Ek70R_2 5y ago
The point of existence, as succintly put by Jordan B. Peterson, is embracing the inherent suffering of existence (in the definitions of Evil and Tragedy) and find thatpersonal responsibility/goal/objective in your life, which would make that suffering worth enduring.

This responsibility for the betterment of Being, has to be inclusive, which means it also has to make the lives of other people as better as possible as well. Once you have this set up, this is the ultimate goal of existence, it is the tool against nihilism and all it encompases. As you can see, it is miles away from anything related to getting women.
liquorbaron 5y ago
Why does there have to be a point or an ultimate goal? If there was a laid out point or straightforward goal would it somehow make things better for you? Fuck having a point. This can be freeing for you because there is no expectation from the universe as it just is; no built in right, wrong, or reason other than what we make from what we can determine at this point in time as human beings from the information available.
People that wallow because there is no meaning or point are choosing that view. The universe is only cold and dead if you choose to view it as being cold and dead.

I think it's fulfillment, whether it's having a kid or accomplishing your mission. If you seek pleasure, you'll never be fulfilled and you'll eventually find yourself depressed. And being fulfilled usually requires hard work
NBDer 5y ago
Exactly. There's two different forms of happiness. Short term pleasure and long term fulfillment. Most people conflate the two, but they're radically different concepts as they lead to different outcomes.
odaklanan_insan 5y ago
Again.. It all comes to "is there an afterlife or not?". Is there a heaven or hell? Are we trying to prove God that we've been good in this world so we deserve eternal happiness in heaven?
Because if not, there is indeed no point in life's struggles. No outcomes either.
savoysprouts 5y ago
Ultimately, its about finding meaning within a chaotic and indifferent universe. Happiness is is usually a product of a meaningful life.
ozenmacher 5y ago
Exactly. There is a huge difference in seeking pleasure, vs finding happiness and contentment through challenges, hard work, suffering through hardships, and coming out better with your mission intact.

Do not get me wrong, I still fall for the pleasure trap sometimes. It is super easy if you are not paying attention, but there is such a massive difference between seeking fleeting moments of pleasure and relishing in your accomplishments.
ReefaShark 5y ago
The most succinct sentence of 2019 so far. I also enjoyed “stagnant productivity”, the nuance is difficult to put into words before reading it. Great post
Feelinggood702 5y ago
I wonder. Intuitively, people know how to proceed with life. Do we just blame society causing why men are acting like this or has it always been meant to be this way considering the industrial and agricultural revolutions made things so much simpler?
Wabbajak 5y ago
I mean real scientific breakthroughs and powerful technological advances have become less frequent since the time right after WW2. I'm not saying there aren't any major scientific breakthroughs and technological advances anymore, I'm saying they have become less frequent.
The biggest factor of progress is money: We've made progress regarding computing power (Moore's law) and maybe AI, so that Zuckerberg can get money from personalized ads for women uploading nudes and men masturbating to these nudes.
Taking modern physics as an example, recent and nonetheless significant progress has been made in the last decades, but real scientific breakthroughs as in the good old days of the early 20th century have been scarce. Quantum mechanics is still in a state of whining it has lost the grand players like Heisenberg, Schrödinger, Dirac or Einstein. Feynman's quantum field theory lectures of the early 1960s are still the best resource for learning about the topic.
Edit: It could also be the result of the fact that the world is becoming more complex and progress is coming at a slower rate as a natural consequence of this, but I'm being unsure here.
stoicbotanist 5y ago
Is it true that we double our amount of data every 18 months? I've heard this before and wonder what you think
Wabbajak 5y ago
A quick Google search reveals me that the amount of data doubles every 24 months.
I was talking about Moore's law: the number of transistors in a dense circuit doubles every ~18 months.
Feelinggood702 5y ago
I like your point in the latter half of the third paragraph. We want to progress in these grand scale subjects, but ultimately we’re not as unified in material/ideal success as we thought we were.
That being said, great things have still been done by teams of people.
Sumsar01 5y ago
Feynmans lectures arent about QFT and physics have made leaps and sounds since then but most modern pysics is just so esoteric than the layman will never hear about it and if he did he would not understand it. The reason we don't find as much groundbreaking stuff is because all the easy things has been found. So currently you need a really really good idea or a trillion dollar grant to make new groundbreaking discoveries.
MaliciousMack 5y ago
Wars will generally give a boost to military research, which many times turns into consumer products. But GLO has a point. With herd mentality comes lack of rigor towards discovery.
dgrawrpla 5y ago
If you think that Feynman's QFT lectures are still the best source, you have no business commenting on the progress of physics. Pick up a book on the geometry and topology of fibre bundles then move on to read a text on modern QFT thank me later.
Wabbajak 5y ago
I said it is still the best source for learning about QFT, however, I should have stated in terms of an introductory course. If you want to dig deeper, nothing beats a good book though.
Dash_of_islam 5y ago
There were huge frontiers in technology that we're discovered last century
Going from analog to digital was a complete upheaval of the way things were built and worked
The next one would be like robotic body parts better than ours or advanced computer chips to make our brains run better.
That kind of stuff will change the world next, but who knows when that hits.
It's like a lot happens when you discover an island, but then it slows down until you find a new island to explore
TheObservationalist 5y ago
Don't worry. China is on it with CRISPR.
Andrew54321 5y ago
Computer chips at a nano or pico level cannot compare with a healthy well maintained human brain.
In order for the comparison to be worthwhile, a chip that changes its circuitry (can be done with multiple switches... which would increase its size) would need to be developed and not be attacked by the immune system.
Biotech is coming
Dash_of_islam 5y ago
I don't know this stuff. I was just throwing out an idea, that whatever the next frontier is, it will seem like magic to people in 2019 and we probably can't even imagine it.
I am excited by those prosthetics that can be controlled by your brain. When that shit gets good, imagine all the military vets that will get their lives back.
What a time to be alive

OR maybe because the worlds bestest country has aborted like 5 thousand Einsteins and those that survived have been trying to set their dick on fire to big titty hentai
strayaura 5y ago
So, we're blaming things on Germany again??
Proto_Sigma 5y ago
Abortion is terrible, but the intelligence is highly heritable and dumber people are on average far more likely to have an abortion. We have lost a great deal, but I'd be skeptical of losing 5,000 Einsteins- even losing 5 seems like a stretch.
empatheticapathetic 5y ago
I’m not sure dumber people are more likely to have an abortion. They usually have multiple children and make less effort in raising them compared to a ‘smarter’ family/woman who usually has one child and maximises their own personal freedom in their earlier years aka many abortions.
But there’s no guarantee more abortions mean anything. It’s not a controlled variable.
FKaroundNfindOUT 5y ago
This assumes einstein was genetically superior to the average modern human. Was he? Perhaps he had achieved mastery in his field and asked the right questions.
p3n1x 5y ago
Dude worked for the patent office at just the right time also...
[deleted]
FKaroundNfindOUT 5y ago
Sure. Are you saying he gained something other than thinking time by doing so?
p3n1x 5y ago
Absolutely. He had access to completed work/ideas. It would be like having access to the World Wide Web decades ahead of everyone else, and he was already smart.
FKaroundNfindOUT 5y ago
Ok. Maybe a rudimentary version of the local web, but everything I've read which mentions it describes the job as low paying and extremely simple which allowed him to survive while devoting large portions of his days to reasoning out his theories on relativity and violin playing. Regardless of resources, I'm attempting to make a case for a mastery of critical thought through long practice rather than inharent genetic genius.
p3n1x 5y ago
He didn't work at a patent office in downtown Kewaunee, Wisconsin. He was in Bern, Switzerland.
Averaging out the amount of silver/gold the franc could buy in 1902 and comparing it to the dollar of today, AE made roughly $40k USD at the age of 23 and as a single male with no debt and minimal responsibilities. His friend basically got him the job (who you know lesson). But AE killed it there, and literally read peoples ideas all day long. AE had to know the law and technical specifications, which did nothing but further sharpen his mental sword. Yeah, some patents were simple (to Einstein, not common people) other patents were badass as hell. He was also passed up for promotion because he sucked at understanding "machines". Not to mention he was surrounded by some of the most advanced clocks and time theory patents while working there ;).
I highly recommend you actually research the patents he worked on instead of "claiming to read something". You wouldn't have made that comment.
He practiced 8 / 8 / 8, balance. Work, research, sleep. Yes, he worked on his personal ideas at the job when he could, his environment certainly didn't hurt.
Exactly what his job at the Bern Patent Office would offer.
Considering the guy could scan his buddy Grossmann's notes and pass tests show's he had some 'above average' mental talents.
"How did Einstein arrive at his most beautiful theories in the Patent Office between 1902 and 1905? Einstein did not quite tell his close friends and people who interviewed him about this period of his scientific life. We can only speculate according to sporadic evidence, which is sometimes contradictory."
odaklanan_insan 5y ago
He was a guy that never gave up. He had struggled with life when he was a young man. This surely made him a strong man.
GBP4tendies 5y ago
Einstein wasn't an important player in quantum physics, his thing was relativity. I'm surprised you don't know that but know who Dirac was.
donquixoteesq 5y ago
He made significant contributions to quantum mechanics, statistical physics, and created special relativity. All of this he published in 1905, the miracle year of physics. He then developed general relativity that was finished around 1915. Other brilliant minds brought quantum mechanics to maturity around 1925. All of this happened mostly in France, Germany, and Denmark. But there were contributions all over the place including Americans, Japanese, etc. Physics has been sort of stagnant since then in the sense that we have not reached a new theory that solves the conundrums in the theories created between 1900 and 1925. Entertainment and hedonism has destroyed a lot of potential and the demonization of competition and superiority have not done us any favors.
Wabbajak 5y ago
Do you even physics? Einstein was an important player in quantum physics. While special and general relativity were "his" topics, he also helped discover and develop QM. He received his Nobel prize in 1921 not for his theory of relativity but for his discovery of the quantum mechanical photoelectric effect in 1905. He was one of the founders of quantum theory and the first to propose that light comes in energy packets/quanta called photons.
In 1924, together with Bose, he developed Bose-Einstein statistics, proposing a model describing light quanta as a gas of indistinguishable particles.
He also played a major role in trying to settle the local realism dispute in quantum physics with Bohr. Einstein proposed the famous 1935 EPR-paper in which he concluded that according to current quantum theory two quantum particles could in principle interact with each other over infinite distances in an instant: information has been exchanged faster than the speed of light - an idea Einstein rejected. He therefore called QM correct but incomplete.

Everything about this post is right.
Pleasure palace is more tricky than one thinks though. You can be toxic bad boy and still be locked in there, living most of the TRP principles.
I'd say comfort palace is even more connected to matriarchy.
Current western male has no Oedipus Complex, it's not the father that has to be defeated. It's the Orestes complex that needs to be solved to fully develop as a person today. Myth of killing your own mother to avenge betrayed father. (Symbolically of course).
Orestes myth deserves separate post in this context.
clavabot 5y ago
The Orestes complex is something I have never heard about until today.
In terms of solving these complexes, is it sufficient to preform self introspection or is there something deeper we need to do?
Ananonguy88 5y ago
In my own understanding it works like a myth. It serves as a universal symbolic pattern created from common human experience. It means there are several ways to do it and it relates to both individual level and collective cultural one. Moving out from mom's basement may be one, standing up to matriarchy in culture may be another, forgiving and cutting away toxic parent may be yet another one, and so on.

Humanity need both personalities. Kids need the women's stability to grow strong. And humanity need the men's audacity to expand and survive.
Both are needed and if one side takes control, humanity suffers. Too much audacity result in endless wars. Too much stability result in lack of growth and death. In this age we are condemning audacity and masculinity. The thing is, audacity will always win.
Fyrjefe 5y ago
This is true. There is a time and a place for these things. The first thing I thought when reading that quote was, "that's why there are so many women in government (and why they are complaining about the US shutdown)". In the wrong place, it's wasteful and disruptive at worst. But as for the family unit, it's paramount for raising a young child.

Thank you GLO you have been a great mentor over the year that I have been lurking and reading on this sub. This post really opened my eyes that I am the man in the text. I'm trying to be more red pill but I'm pleasuring myself the whole time. I've gone on monk mode and the like but I always found an excuse to slack in some form.
Would love any advice you have for lifting or books.
I just switched over from doing leg, arm, back, chest days to upper and lower body days. I go 5x a week and two of the days is a full body workout where I focus on muscles that aren't as sore as the others.
I've read: the rationale male, 48 laws of power(on my 4th reread/listen I really want to ingrain it into my mind), no more Mr nice guy.
I have the power of now, 50th law, the way of men, how to win friends and win fluency others on the shelf to read... planning on knocking those out by April or sooner. Any other forum other than the ones discussed here would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you rather not reply to this comment.
Thanks!!

That's why gritty grimdark video games like fallout are so popular. There is a whole genre called "survival simulators" where you get to roleplay as a strong, competent man (or feminist woman) struggling to carve out an existence in a harsh, unforgiving world while sitting on your couch eating cookies. The more pedantic and "realistic" it is in modeling survival conditions the better ("OMG you have to eat or you die in this game! So cool!").
There is a related phenomenon where games are using "meaningful choices" as a selling point. The decisions you make actually affect the (simulated, fake) world around your character.
Both of these trends show that there is a huge demand for challenge and meaning in the experiences of these basement dwellers. But it's fake challenges and synthetic meaning. It never satisfies because it is not real. I realized this a long time ago in my more blue pill days and decided to finally put the controller down and find something real to do. It was a good decision.
Pokeylaw 5y ago
Good damn I been recently getting into these types of games and not gonna lie after reading this post and yours, I want something with actual challenge but with no money or resources to call my own it's just hard
Omnidempotent 5y ago
You're making excuses. Children don't have any money or resources and yet they still spend their time learning new skills and conquering meaningful challenges. Go ride a bike, read a book, or do some push ups. Think of something.
Pokeylaw 5y ago
I love reading and riding my bike not gonna lie it's just games are more fun shit I tell my online friends that if I ever go quiet for a long period of time while playing it's because I'm reading between rounds
Omnidempotent 5y ago
Your brain is accustomed to high-stimulation activities like video games. That's why other, lower-stimulation activities do not feel as rewarding. If you remove those high-stimulation activities and allow your brain to reset, though, you will find other things to be more fun.
mlps2001 5y ago
A truly outstanding post. What is your reading list of difficult books anyway ?

That new Gillette ad sure is scary. Even a fucking razor company is trying to castrate us.
Galbert123 5y ago
Doesnt that make sense though?
redpill77 5y ago
Wow. Just watched this. It's easy to notice that society is not doing as badly as the media portrays, but I have seen good friends in the last two years start to talk about things like 'rape culture,' 'pay gap,' 'toxic masculinity,' etc.
We're not as compromised as the media because the media represents a few steps ahead into our future. But we do tend to fall into line, in time, with the philosophy of the media.
It begs the question of how to fight on the media battlefield. There are some right wing news outlets that resist some of the ideas, but any of their ideas will be ignored as they are politically othered. Also, I think there are plenty of us who aren't even right of center.
Is it up to comedians like Bill Burr, Patrice ONeal, and Jim Jefferies (he seems to be getting a little blue pilled since having a kid and getting a show)? Even comedians talk a lot about the limits to speaking freely on stage. Not everyone has the clout of Dave Chappelle to lock up the audience's phones so that they can riff freely and safely.
Youtube seems somewhat accessible, but with demonetization, and patreon becoming untrustworthy, how else can there be built an enterprise which isn't answerable to a corporation and advertisers who want safe content.
Frodolinador 5y ago
I wanna see how their stock is affected by the ad lol

At a pool party a guy tries to approach a girl and another guy jumps between them and goes "come on!!"
A guy tries to approach a woman on the street and another guy lunges out to stop him and says "not cool, not cool"
Ive got nothing to say.

I thought you were exaggerating but holy shit that actually happens in the video

Common sense is not so common after all. At least not in 2019...
scissor_me_timbers00 5y ago
They’re fucking insufferable.
There’s a form of perverse female power of making herself sexually delicious and then depriving men of even talking to her. Women love pedestalizing and objectifying themselves with the “you can look but you can’t touch”. In a castrated society such as ours, they will use this in a mocking way. This is the disgusting female ego run amok. Today, women dress increasingly slutty, while at the same time trying to shut down any attempt to even approach her. That’s what those parts of the ad are communicating. Hey bro, that’s not cool to chat a girl up at a pool party.

IF you're unattractive. If you're unattractive, you're just a rapist who hasn't raped yet. If you're fit and confident, you have her permission to be her little beta bitch boy for sex tokens.

Don't knock it til you've tried it. Esoteric sociopolitical commentary is a panty dropper
himsenior 5y ago
By all means. It's not just esoteric though, it's an angry, incomprehensible rant tied to existentialism and an otherwise fair criticism of consumerist culture. Here's what I mean.
We have two groups.
The first are people who would most benefit from democratic socialist polices - the college student, the working single parent, the family with multiple jobs to pay for health insurance, etc. Most of them work hard. They aren't lazy. But they're exhausted by the end of the day and only have time for the artifacts of the Pleasure Palace. A few moments to escape reality before beginning the day anew. It's time not well spent but damn who can blame them.
They're the ones who would most benefit from democratic socialist policies - universal healthcare, free college tuition, or even basic safety nets enjoyed in happier (I simply mean less stressed, not necessarily having more fun), Western European countries.
In the second group we have the opulence of the ruling class. Adjusting the marginal tax rate to pay for some of these programs wouldn't make a noticeable dent in Group 2's desire to live perpetually in the Pleasure Palace. They could still buy multiple houses, own multiple cars, take a dozen vacations, enjoy sabbaticals in front of the television or snorting coke off the proverbial hookers' asses.
And yet OP is somehow convinced that the first group personifies the "Mommy Daycare" rather than the second group who use their wealth to transcend OP's moralizing.

1% better greater effect in an otherwise negative course in life just gets you exponentially more screwed up each day.
1% better when your starting point is low takes forever to compound. Lifting 1% more of 1lb the next time you're in the gym is still a fail. Some of us are so far behind our forefathers that we need to look for 100% not 1%.

I know some of you aren't fond of Jordan Peterson, but this is what he means when you must go forth and slay the dragon instead of waiting for it to come to the village and raze it to the ground.
Captain_Save_A_Hoe_ 5y ago
Peterson is a liberal because he cannot define the concept of religion. He cannot clearly say what is its purpose. Lots of Canadian and other rootless cultures cannot define concrete words and for that they endlessly blabber about the after matches of said power construct. This is not sufficient. A confused sense of purpose and meaning in life leads to depression. Depression magnifies when you dont know the cause of depression. Now either he stops being a liberal and the depression that he carries around physically and verbally disappears or it magnifies and develops stronger. If it develops he is unconsciously for a rotting system.
WadNasty 5y ago
Fuck man as a Canadian I hate that I relate so hard to the second half of your paragraph.
NightRedder5 5y ago
What people seem to miss is that we are seeing a re-opening in these areas of society that are supposedly closed. A seemingly large proportion of men are thirsting for guidance that is evidently lacking in Western Culture. The swelling of popularity of Jordan Peterson is not due to the typical "self help" comfort we see pedaled constantly, but rather he is tangling with complex arenas of life such as religion and inspires many to do the same.
Religion can be generally tied to humans' possession of consciousness which continues to be a mystery making it a topic that we cannot entirely refute but can wrestle with. By not accepting the dogmatic approach to conventional religion, men are stepping outside of societal notions which is invigorating but also isolating, but knowing that others are doing the same, can help minimize that isolation.
Opening up Religion to questioning arouses curiosity in men, which, by the early signs, are pushing more men to question and explore other "acceptable" societal notions which, hopefully, will lead to a wholly positive renunciation of the fraudulent Western dogmas that we have been preached, including the "correct" sexual strategies that have been crammed down our throats since we emerged from the womb.
The Redpill, at this time, is just too radical and isolated to many men. Some can take it on like naturals, but it will take more time for many to come around to it rationally and, in some sense, spiritually.
We need people to first question. Opening up that can of worms initially will make the Redpill more inviting.

Desperate people do desperate things. Yeah, JBP offers a lot of positive advice, but he also refuses to "lead". Leaving the desperate wandering around with a newly loaded-mental gun and no idea where or how to shoot it.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
Peterson can very well define the concept of religion, the problem isn't that he's a liberal, he's a full blown globalist and an occultist. Vox Day wrote a whole book about Peterson's deceptions - Jordanetics.
empatheticapathetic 5y ago
He provides more steps in a positive direction than something like Vox Day. Everyone has some sort of JP slander piece. Use the positive, discard the rest.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
Nothing good about JBP he literally teaches you how to be gamma
Captain_Save_A_Hoe_ 5y ago
People only watch him because they see their inner self mirrored by his sad sob tone he uses in every one of his lectures.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
And because that inner self is usually gamma, just like Peterson
Captain_Save_A_Hoe_ 5y ago
Peterson is so popular that it is the mainstream to like him. Noting Gamma about that since its socially submissive not rejective.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
There's a lot of gamma in his way of handling debates. He's just now in a position of popularity.
p3n1x 5y ago
Vox Day is a horrible logic point to use against JP. The failed nerd raging about the self-aware nerd. Vox is envious and salty. He panders well.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
None of what you said is factually true and you can check it yourself. good luck
Agent_Smith_Clone 5y ago
is he really an occultist? is he evil?
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
yes, read Jordanetics. Go on youtube search for "Darkstream" Vox Day usually gives snippets of what he writes about in the book
Agent_Smith_Clone 5y ago
yea i bought that book actaully havent read it yet. TLDR it since no time? Is he a jew or illuminati? Ever since I found out about him I had this off feeling.
BillyRedRocks 5y ago
globalist occultist, read the book

Noetic polarity forms all Will. Be careful citing Freud and hysteria, long refuted psychoanalysis. Read Lacan. I agree with you in principle though. How do you believe you should act to the mystery optics of any conflict or situation with women? For example... a woman wants you to react to them so they play games with you, or they want comfort/care but find it disgusting when you give them it because of their mental condition. There's a paradox here that makes you not know how to act. What would you do in said situations?
