I can't speak for all people but I can tell you something about my family. My mother and father fell in love with each other very early. Married at 17 and 19 (father is older). He fell for her looks, she fell for his athleticism, bravado and vision. Years later when I asked her how it worked out she said, "I trust your fathers decisions. I know that he has our best interest in mind and I know that he would literally break his back to put food on the table." My father's response was, "Your mother respects me, and helps with everything she can." This meant keeping a home, holding down a job, raising kids and still rubbing his feet after he would pull 15 hour days five days a week at a machine shop.
It's a partnership, with two people that are clearly defined by their roles and their place in the relationship. My mother trusts my father because he's not a pushover, he's not a dumb ass, and he is self assured. My father knows my mother respects him, doesn't fuck around and loves him and his children to the best of her respective abilities. RESPECT, in my opinion and a very defined family structure are MUSTS.

It's not that I haven't considered it. I just failed to include it, but in a nutshell. Raised very catholic in a very small town in rural Mexico were you could be easily shamed. Both came from very large agrarian families. Both had to work from very young, either helping to raise siblings or working the earth.

Previous generations most people got married by the age of 21. Usually shortly after high school and got a job. I'm willing to bet he's probably around 30ish maybe 40 and his parents were raised well by his grandparents. Agreed. My father seemed to have applied a very specific and slow burning dread game from as far back as I can remember. He has kept himself in shape, well groomed and always well dressed. He knows his value and carries it around with him like an aura. My mom knows this and as her SMV has dropped over the years she's secure that she has "earned" her place at my dads side even with a diminished SMV because she exchanged her youth, her beauty and her fertile years for this security later in life. Apart from what you mention, which is right - if women can get out of responsibility for a child by a morning-after pill, an abortion, or giving up for adoption, then men ought to be able to relinquish the rights and responsibilities too. I would add that it is not the purpose of the state (ie men in general) to pick up the tab for a woman's poor life decisions. If she decides to keep it, it is her responsibility, not the State's.
The other thing that really needs to go, is this idea that at divorce the woman should be able to maintain 'the lifestyle to which she is accustomed' at the man's expense, regardless of whether he can maintain the same lifestyle. Once divorced, there is no reason whatsoever that the man should be responsible for her lifestyle. She isn't married to him, she is on her own, just as he is.

I envisage it as a standardised form which both the man and woman must sign and lodge with the child support agency prior to there being any child support changing hands. When the form was signed would be irrelevant. If the woman had any common sense she would get it signed before getting pregnant, or at least before it is too late for an abortion.
I would say that marriage would negate the need for such form. The other condition for child support would be mandatory DNA testing.
I'm not sure it will ever happen, for financial reasons. It would end up costing the government a whole lot of money in costs of supporting single mothers.
I'm pretty sure that's one of the biggest reasons why we are currently stuck with the bullshit that we are stuck with.
They get money from federal government to enforce as much child support as possible on fathers, and financial incentives to make your life hell if you can't pay, not just if you won't.

Everyone likes the idea of getting married. I would love to have a partner for life. I know I would be an ill partner for life, but you can't trust anyone now a days. I'm loyal, honest, and dependable. If I've learned anything in my life, its that these traits are hard to find.
A lot of guys find trp because of their relationships. I know I did. I wanted to marry my best friend.
Then, one week she told me she loved me, and the next week she left, and I never heard from her again. This was after years of living together.
Don't get married. It makes no sense to get the government involved with your relationships.

Why the fuck is a no-fault divorce even possible? I understand that Americans want to be able to be free to enter and exit organizations and fellowships at will. It impacts marriage and labor unions, etc.
My wife went crazy with commitment. She threaten divorce twice a year to get what she wanted, took my credit cards and charged thousands on them, and then slapped and punched me when I took them and cut them up in front of her. The fact that divorce is so lopsided made me work to fix it and just fed her terrible behavior.
Why does a woman who does those things get treated the same as a woman that is a stay-at-home-wife and is left by a man who gets in a middle age crisis and starts banging the receptionist? That guy deserves to get dragged over the coals.
She was so certain that she was getting child support and spousal support. I've quit my job to make a major play at primary custody. If I get it she will be devastated. Its a long shot, but its my only shot.

I'm okay with no-fault divorces IF the resource split was based on something other than 50/50.
A more fair resource allocation process and I'm completely okay with no-fault. Currenlty the process is broken because women can walk out of a viable relationship with half the couple's nest egg up front and the other half as debt via garnished wages.
That is what a lot of women and men aren't seeing, that through Alimony and Child support women are literally walking away with every cent of a man's money and he did nothing wrong.

There are so many divorces going on there's just no time to listen to a couple bicker about every little detail, review all their evidence against one another's infidelities and so on. Let me tell you about pressure: Pre-TRP I told a a girlfriend of 1.5 years all throughout our friendship that marriage is bogus and I despise children. Everytime the conversation came up I shot her down. One day she gave me an ultimatum. I told her I will never get married and never have children, she wants both. Funny because this is a country which moans about classism quite a bit. A wealthy person, male or female, cannot divorce someone who earns less because the courts will force the wealthy party to bankroll the other's "standard of living" they expected to have in the marriage.
Yes, prenups in England are worthless. Best thing, really, is not to get married. If you really do wanna get married then do it, and live in a country (like the US; even then, certain states) which will respect the prenup.
Of course if you think you've got the perfect way to "control" your woman's childish urges, then you can take the plunge in the UK.

This is not the fault of women. Women are an economic agent, and react accordingly to the economic environment. The problem is that the state have corrupted the environment, not only in marriage but in every fucking thing.
This is the result of letting the state intervene in the contract of particulars. If a women have sex with a men and the men didn't sing a contract saying that's gonna take care of a possible child, then the men should be free of any obligation(even if he is the biological father). If a women wants to protect herself? Make a contract before sex (I.e. marriage).
That's how things should work in every aspect of society. Let the people know that actions have consequences. Let us be free, let us be responsible of our actions.

So I went to a plate's house last weekend to meet her friends and go out to a bar. Great. I had fun but her dogs were aggressive and for some reason at 2am I wanted to go home while I was at the bar with them.
So I left the bar without saying anything to her. She texts me if I'm OK which I replied saying that I puked (lie) and just went home. OK this was a bad move but I wanted to go home and sleep without her untrained dogs nibbling at my balls all night.
Few days later she texts me how she got weirded out so much that she is done with me. I could tell anyways because she changed her FB pic for some new Tinder cocks. I apologized to her about it already but it's too late she's a goner...
Nevermind that I raw dogged her like a motherfucker for at least 10 times and cooked her dinner for her birthday. Princess saw I could leave her like that and she wants total control over her pet beta boy.
The #1 reason never to get married guys is simply that. Women can walk-out at anytime for any reason without any remorse even if you apologize. They don't care about being pumped and dumped (must be from experience).

the way i see it, the modern man has two reasons to get married. one is the woman absolutely forces him to and if she can't wait anymore, she'll leave him. it has happened to many guys before. the second reason is the foolish idea that he can lock her down with a marriage. it obviously doesn't work when college educated women initiate the majority of divorces. gee, i wonder why women want desperately to get married? that's because there are tons of benefits for the woman and none for the man.

Probably mostly men who had a strong father figure and know how to be a man.
100, 150 years ago, far more people worked as farmers. Boys helped out on the farm when not at school, they had no shortage of male role models. Girls helped mum in the kitchen.
Then, in a world fuelled by changes made possible by the Industrial Revolution, a whole new class of jobs appeared out of nowhere. The white-collar worker. This had a huge impact on family dynamics, as millions of families adopted new lifestyles that involved Dad going to work in the early hours of the morning before the kids had got up and coming home in the early evening not long before the kids went to bed.
Junior didn't go to the office with dad during school holidays, he stayed at home with mum.
The first generation this happened with, divorces were still thin on the ground. Women knew they had a good deal; men were still taking control. But their sons never saw their Dad; mum was doing all the work raising the kids. Their sons learned how to behave like a man by, er, watching a woman. Which worked about as well as you'd expect it to.
Anyway, these sons grew up and got married themselves. But their wives weren't thinking "this is a good deal", they were thinking "What a shitty man I've married! Here I am raising the kids, and their dad is barely a man at all! I'd be better off without him!". By now, women had the vote, so it made a lot of political sense to reconsider divorce and alimony laws, which the politicians did. Divorce rates shot up in a couple of decades.
This led to another generation of men who had never really had a particularly strong father figure. Surprise surprise, they also have trouble in maintaining relationships.
Depending on when this started to happen in your family, most families are well on their way to the third generation of kids without a father figure.

I can't speak for all people but I can tell you something about my family. My mother and father fell in love with each other very early. Married at 17 and 19 (father is older). He fell for her looks, she fell for his athleticism, bravado and vision. Years later when I asked her how it worked out she said, "I trust your fathers decisions. I know that he has our best interest in mind and I know that he would literally break his back to put food on the table." My father's response was, "Your mother respects me, and helps with everything she can." This meant keeping a home, holding down a job, raising kids and still rubbing his feet after he would pull 15 hour days five days a week at a machine shop.
It's a partnership, with two people that are clearly defined by their roles and their place in the relationship. My mother trusts my father because he's not a pushover, he's not a dumb ass, and he is self assured. My father knows my mother respects him, doesn't fuck around and loves him and his children to the best of her respective abilities. RESPECT, in my opinion and a very defined family structure are MUSTS.

It's not that I haven't considered it. I just failed to include it, but in a nutshell. Raised very catholic in a very small town in rural Mexico were you could be easily shamed. Both came from very large agrarian families. Both had to work from very young, either helping to raise siblings or working the earth.

It's only with recent generations that getting married at 30 became a thing.
Previous generations most people got married by the age of 21. Usually shortly after high school and got a job. I'm willing to bet he's probably around 30ish maybe 40 and his parents were raised well by his grandparents. Likewise I suspect that should the poster have kids of his own he would raise them right as well assuming Daddy Government doesn't get in the way.

Agreed. My father seemed to have applied a very specific and slow burning dread game from as far back as I can remember. He has kept himself in shape, well groomed and always well dressed. He knows his value and carries it around with him like an aura. My mom knows this and as her SMV has dropped over the years she's secure that she has "earned" her place at my dads side even with a diminished SMV because she exchanged her youth, her beauty and her fertile years for this security later in life. My dad now cherishes my mother because of what she brought and thus he still loves and respects her despite her diminished SMV. It's a funny thing....I think this is what they call gratitude.

It seems that money(survival) is a huge issue here. In these marriages the woman's "job" is to spend her husband's money until it dries up of course she's going to find another source if she perceives the cash flow shutting off for any reason. My parents have 9 siblings between the two of them. Only one divorce, the rest are married. The guys might not be alpha but as far as I know joint checking accounts don't exist in my family.

True story: My father's brother dated a girl for about 3 years, lived together, joint checking account, saving up (he's a CPA). One day she upped and left him for her "first love" from high school-and emptied close to 30K from their bank account in the process. He had been saving this money for a new house, the nest egg for future children, all that. GONE. He moved back in with his parents and started again. He met and started a relationship with a new woman after two years or so...the original girl popped up again (after the money was blown, of course) and wanted to try things out again. Like literally showed up on their doorstep, demanding to be let back into his life. He was considering it, my dad (for all his faults) gave him a big dose of the redpill and broke down reality for him. This was the 70's.
My dad, for all his faults, and all the posts related to his failings I've put on here...damn if he isn't good with money. That is why he said he would never have a joint checking account. My mom got an allowance, he didn't care what she did with it, but she only got a certain amount every month. That was it. My father's father made a lot of money in sales and blew a lot of money investing in mostly losing ventures, his mother was the frugal one. Two of my father's brothers are CPAs and he learned everything he could from them.
I posted about a shit relationship I had a few months ago on TRP and I do believe the breakup was directly related to finances more than anything else. Why would a girl want to be with a guy who can't finance her lifestyle?
Not having to pick up a $300 tab on the regular...priceless.

With less men getting married more and more women will be forced enter and stay in the workplace. They will not be happy there. Most of the women could only answer lackadaisically. I got the impression that working just plain doesn't do anything for them apart from the pay cheque. On the way to work this morning, I was sitting in traffic and heard on the radio that there was a study done in Holland (I believe) that stated men who worked more hours, had a higher sense of value than men who worked less. The study also showed that hours worked did not have the same effect on women.

Apart from what you mention, which is right - if women can get out of responsibility for a child by a morning-after pill, an abortion, or giving up for adoption, then men ought to be able to relinquish the rights and responsibilities too. I would add that it is not the purpose of the state (ie men in general) to pick up the tab for a woman's poor life decisions. If she decides to keep it, it is her responsibility, not the State's.
The other thing that really needs to go, is this idea that at divorce the woman should be able to maintain 'the lifestyle to which she is accustomed' at the man's expense, regardless of whether he can maintain the same lifestyle. Once divorced, there is no reason whatsoever that the man should be responsible for her lifestyle. She isn't married to him, she is on her own, just as he is.

Difficult to see how financial abortion could be applied legally. Financial support is for the child not the mother therefore she is not in a position to waive it. There have already been cases where women have signed agreements to no financial support that are not upheld in court as they say the woman had no right to make that decision.

That may be the window dressing, but reality is that the woman makes all spending decisions with that money. There is no oversight or auditing of the financials to determine if yes indeed the money went to the child.
Also, child support is the non-custodial parent's contribution; the custodial parent should also have to have a court mandated contribution to the child.

The woman has the right to choose whether to keep the baby. There just needs to be some sort of signed contract before the baby is born, that the man agrees to, that legally binds him to financially provide for the baby. Being bound to financially provide for a baby should be a choice for the man, just like how keeping the baby is a currently a choice for the woman. That's the only way it's all fair.
On the flip side, if you believe early-term abortion is wrong and that women should NOT have a choice, then this discussion is kind of moot, and the only way that people should be having babies is within the sanctity of marriage in the first place. You might even take it a step further and have the government punish the people who fornicate outside of marriage, while you are at it.

Well then the law should be changed. If the child support is for the child and not her, then the ability to financially abort a baby will force the mother to make more intelligent decisions about who she has a child with.
Essentially, women have no responsibility or incentive to ensuring the child is raised in a good home. If she wants to have a child with a man who "financially aborts" it, then she is making the decision for the child.
If a women can unenroll her child from private school so that she can afford a luxury car (Not saying this is common, I'm just expressing an example), then she should be able to birth a child w/o child support even if it's not in the child's best interest.
If we're taking a laid back approach to abortions, we should take a laid back approach to financial abortions. We're all adults here. It's time to start holding women to the same standards.

If a publication like Daily Mail confidently ran this piece, and it has over 3,000 comments, blah blah blah, our views about the "state of man" extends well beyond just the manosphere.
Who would have thought that women would earn the right to vote? Blacks were kept as slaves for hundreds of years. Feminism is about 50 years old.....this "anti male era" could arguably be just a blip in human history. Lets hope so, at least.

There is a dearth. There are slightly more women in the population than men. As you read in the article, there has been a drop in the marriage rate (in the UK) of over 40% since 2nd wave feminism started up in earnest in the 70s. That is a lot of men not marrying. There are still lots that marry, sure, but the number is diminishing, and even now, many women are going without. See Sandman's youtube video where he was persuaded to go to to some 'meetup' event, and I think there were 107 women, and three men. He was one of the men (and MGTOW), one was a cripple, the other was blind. So when women say 'where have all the good men gone?' they are noticing something real.

That is a very good point, you are quite right. We are interested in the sex ratio of those in the SMP, not in the population as a whole, which, as you say, is biased by women living to an older age. This varies, eg in Eastern Europe and Russia there are many more women than men, because of (young) men emigrating to the West for work, giving an overall ratio of around 0.5 males, even though sex ratio at birth is around the Fisher-norm of 1.06.

When a child misbehaves, do you blame the child or the parent? Children without discipline will run wild. They will cause trouble and destroy things. They will make messes and act on instinct alone. Children are not civilized, they are animals that must be taught and disciplined into members of society. If no discipline is ever given to a child, who is at fault for bad behavior? The parents.
Women are the children. Men are the parents. Women have no self agency. They truly rely on men just like children on parents. Why do modern women seem horrible? Because they are animals with no discipline and further, no consequences.
Remove women's suffrage and fix weak men, then you'll see better women.

I agree, it is our responsibility, in the broad sense, but when you say men here, which men? Men individually have had the power within relationships diminished, because if they do marry they cannot easily leave, but the women can (cash and prizes), and that gives women power. In the UK (which this article is about) the laws coming into play are redefining domestic abuse to include things like not giving her all the money she wants. So if she is profligate with the credit card and you take it from her and cancel it, you are guilty of domestic abuse.
So men, yes, but men in power, pushed by people like Patricia Hewitt and Harriet Harman, a feminist MP who brought in 'reverse discrimination', all-women electoral selection lists, and the 1989 Act mentioned in the article that basically excluded fathers. She was supported by many male MPs because, first men have a natural bias in favour of women (contra the ridiculous Patriarchy Theory), and second because by disempowering men it makes it easier for those in power to get away with wrong-doing.
Look at what is described in the article itself. Why haven't there been riots about this level of injustice? Because men have been pussyfied for a couple of generations. By feminist propoganda, the media, laws taking their power, and also by xenostrogens (if something similar had affected women detrimentally, something would have been done).

All men. Those in power who are greedy and selfish whose short-sightededness will defeat their own gender (and therefore society itself), but they probably don't care. Those who passively allowed women's suffrage. Those who supported it. The only men who have no blame are those who fought/fight against such nonsense.
The modern woman is abhorrent, but she is only a reflection of the modern man and what he has allowed her to become. Women are to blame for their behavior just like a Hurricane is to blame for the destruction it causes. Both are a force of nature with no self agency. This is a broad generalization of course.
The book mentioned in OP tries to blame women. Rightfully so. But to what end? To try to make women take responsibility? That has never worked. And I doubt it will ever work. Women aren't wired for responsibility. Half of the mothers out there can't even be responsible for their own children, the most important thing in their life. History has proven that women will not change. The responsibility will always fall onto men.
Ultimately, war is the great equalizer. Prior to military technology it would have already happened. As it did with the fall of Rome and other nations that let women rule. I think the next war will be truly unique because of globalization and technology.

I agree with you that all men (apart from those who were naturally RP - and now those who have learned to be, and set proper boundaries) are responsible, but not to equal extents. It has long been a society expectation that men get married, especially if they want children, but because of changes outside their control, that has meant they have far less power to actually make a difference. So the much greater responsibility has been on those with law-making (politicians) and law-enforcing (judges) powers. The prevalence of xenoestrogens is also outside individual men's control. However, we all have to take responsibility and live our own lives as best we can, and that does involve setting boundaries to what we will accept from the women in our lives, agreed.
I find it interesting, though, that you go along with the whole hypoagency of women idea, absolving women of all responsibility since they 'cannot change'. Yet, men it appears can change, and are held responsible. This is like the drunk rape ideas we get from feminism: women aren't responsible for their actions if they are drunk, but men are always responsible. I'm not buying that; women are responsible for their behaviour too.

OK, I have a couple of problems with this, but I do appreciate where you are coming from. You are telling men that they must take responsibility for their lives and not rely on women to do it for them. We completely agree on that. We can also agree that society will not readily move to making women responsible.
Here are my issues, I would welcome your input.
First, even though women never hold themselves accountable, for most of history they have been accountable. We talk as if such a society could not exist, but actually it is a completely anomolous event that ours doesn't at the present time. Could we agree that it doesn't take laws, it takes society opinion to make women act responsibly? The issue is that men have swallowed feminist propaganda (abetted by mainstream media and political bodies), but public opinion changes - in fact it did, not long ago; you yourself are saying that men should change, but that change is a change in attitude - which includes the attitude towards sluts and those who divorce rape, no?
Second, you are a girl, right? I'm aware that you have been a contributor to this sub for quite some time, so I take it you are here because you have adopted the core principles, that you accept responsibility for your life, that you believe you must improve yourself and not blame everyone else for what happens to you, etc. Yet, you say that women cannot change and cannot accept responsibility for themselves or hold themselves accountable. It seems to me that you, yourself, are a counterexample to your own argument. Am I wrong?

You care about changing this, and rightly so. My point is that the change has to start with men. Men must lead and men must make women accountable, just like parents do children.
Keep in mind when I say "women" its a generalization. Just like AWALT is. Individuals can break free from typical behaviors, but its they are the exception and not the rule.

You do realize that celibacy is a thing, right? Even more isolation from various forms of risk. There's also porn, and various toys, none of which are likely to sue you, or take half your stuff. You're also unlikely to get aids from your hand or a sterile inanimate object. As such, there is a far lower cost and more risk averse position than the one you propose that does not require one to be attracted to one's own sex.
Further... whether you engage in heterosexual sex, homosexual sex, abstain entirely, you have to deal with the taxes, other legal risks, etc. Your proposal fails on multiple counts.

I think it is a great idea. It just needs a more marketable name. "Child Support agreement"
I envisage it as a standardised form which both the man and woman must sign and lodge with the child support agency prior to there being any child support changing hands. When the form was signed would be irrelevant. If the woman had any common sense she would get it signed before getting pregnant, or at least before it is too late for an abortion. I would say that marriage would negate the need for such form. The other condition for child support would be mandatory DNA testing.
