I’ve been making my boss treat me with respect, while reminding myself that I owe nothing to this job. My time is valued more than they pay me. If beta billy wants to volunteer and work unpaid hours good for him. I got shit to do.

completed a 30 hour fast (doing OMAD with extended fasting on non lifting days)
hit day 160 of no fap/ no porn
at 224 lbs now was 295 last august. goal weight is 185 with 8% bf.
Entered my 5th and a half month of lifting. looking forward to my results at 8 months.
Still having trouble getting laid, but I m deciding to go mini monk mode while I lose these last 30ish lbs (mainly around my guy and face) hopefully the facial gains and of course muscle gains will help me tremendously, I had been doing tons of approaching the last month or so but haven't had success at all(day game night game clubs events etc etc), so its time to relax on that for a while. my smv is just too low now so, I need to work on that before spending time trying to get women.
One thing ill have to learn is to be OK with being alone. . .I teeter on the edge of depression, anger and hope and back again. Ill probably spend more time meditating as well.

Big changes for me so I felt it was worth posting.
It all started with a total social media blackout of the 5yr ex gf without warning and on good terms. Just needed to eliminate her from all sources of communication. I need to move on and this was causing me mental blocking.
Shaved my 5yr old beard. Chopped it all off and got a nice haircut, I'm 32 and now I look 27. Everyone is Stunned to see my face. Most people I know now within the last 5 yrs have never seen me without a beard. Confidence is up.
Went out and got some nice cologne, new earnings and picked up a copy of Aubrey Marcus' book Own the day. Such a good read if you are looking to optomize your body and life habits. From morning routine to supplements and food to workout practices and meditation techniques. I've gained a ton of motivation from this read and I'm only 1/4 way through.
Need to work on my diet, days at work I do a 16hr fast before first meal. Kale salads and slow cooker meals all work week. The problem is when I go on days off. Progress is pretty much derailed due to late nights of going out and eating pub/bar food, pizza at friends' burgers and macaroni salads etc at bbqs. Really gonna focus on that one as a major improvement spot. Sugar is a real fucker. Doing good though, no treats just keeping that willpower to Dodge dough nuts sitting around at work and all that shit. Black coffee. No pops. No candies.
Gym was really good. Went regularly for the last 6 months and noticed some decent gains. Took a two week break because yard work and other priorities hit me hard. Getting back there today. Been also riding my bike to work for the past two weeks. Feeling more awake and capable. Might switch up from a weight focused gym to a HIIT gym to see how I like it.
No fap is back on track and Wim Hof breathing / cold water shower in the mornings.
Socializing alot, going out and meeting people. Cold approaching needs work, but doing better. Overall I feel like I'm on the right track and feel really good about the direction I'm going. Cheers.
OfficerWade 5y ago
I’m getting a nice look from going to the gym regularly. My family has noticed. They say I look HUGe but I’m only putting on newb weight from never going to the gym in my life.
My showering is up to every day to every other day from once a week. ;)
I recently had some body work done on my car which I would think doesn’t do much in the short term but it looks nice, confident boost for sure.
I noticed I was watching YouTube to replace my time not spent on Porn and Video Games. I’ve gotten off Porn completely for amostt 6 months. It was the first thing I did joining the red pill after going to the gym. So my “Extra” Time is being used to aggressively address my eating habits and career.
The bad is I still haven’t gotten laid. I look forward to posting here one week when I lower my standards. Girls are sending me signals and I flat out shut down in the face of an interaction. I don’t wanna repeat my life’s mistakes made from the last relationship shop and it’s not healthy behavior so I’ll work on that.

I am in week 3 of the program u/zahlix outlined. I started at 240 and am now at 227. The first part was bloat, but since I can see and feel the gradual improvement. I am biking 3x a week and doing some 3 mile walks. Have not gone over 2,200 calories in a day. since April 30. I was in a bad place. Smoking weed too much, eating like shit. I stopped with weed, got off social media as well. I am in a much better place spiritually. The women issue vexes me, but I have to come at it with a better self if at all. I want to thank him and everyone here. His thread hit me like a thunderbolt.

I am really determined and its like it was so simple and right there in front of me the whole time but I didn't get it; simple math, bring in less than you put out. I do try and eat better too, but don't get too hung up as long as I stay under my number. So I have had pizza and had chips at times but always have stayed under. It really does work. My goal is 180 and a BMI of 25.

Positives: Went out sober often. Had bad mood for 3 days cause i thought im not making any progress. Then good looking girl shows a lot of attention. I notice shes nervous ,extremely attracted. In this moment i realized i was s focused on getting better in fitness ,studying and finances that i forgt to reap the benefits of my hard work. From that day on i started noticing attention from the opposite gender. And that shit rocketed through the fucking roof. like literally every second girl i speak to shows attraction. I consider myself rather good looking but this level of attention is just insane. My confidence is on 110% . Went to the club with a friend and two girls he´s friends with for years. Went in not many people , instantly danced with them and two more girls in the span of 20 minutes, singlehandendly started the Party. One of the girls was certainly attracted. Went to another bar as we had 1 couple with us which was low energy and said "We drive home now" , my friend and the girls had to leave as the couple´s car was their only form of transportation. At the new bar danced with my longtime friend . Started talking with some people . Got two numbers EASILY like 3 sentences talked and the girl asks for my number lol. Chilled a bit met cool group of people , talked with them chilled. One girl ,good looking and certainly my type isolates herself, boom fucked in my car. Very interessting cute and fun girl , similar to me altho certainly a substance abuser (Keep that in mind, not judging as i was an extremely heavy addict for a long time but its noteworthy for my own wellbeing).
Altho i broke some of my promises to myself, i recognise i shouldnt beat myself up over it as i had a lot of fun doing it. I didnt do anything to bad and i recallibrate myself on course now. I guess making and breaking rules and knowing when to do it is an important part of life and maturing aswell.
Negatives To be honest i dont get anything from the top of my head , which might mean im still mentally so overstimulated that im just very happy. Cruising on my konstant progress, not accelerating exponentially. Smoked too many cigarettes Skipped gym once
Outlook:
Thank you Gentlemen and see you next week, if you have suggestions or observations i would be very thankfull and honored to hear them , have a very good day.

I'd rather have my girl cheat on me with a friend in broad daylight than behind my back. The deception you see isn't what scares people, it's what you don't see.

I went to a party with some friends, I know i look good, I lift and taking care of myself, but I still have approach anxiety...anyway I said fuck it at the party and went for some girls and they all took me to the side to dance me. Nothing happend because I'm not good enough with escalating, but omfg the feeling that girls actually want me was great I just need to push more.
Was really hard to boost my confidence since me and my ex, but it's getting better.

Positive:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X5L3IU\-NnwGdiLGNauWZXGS7sV0bF73GwSTpqKww\-v4/edit?usp=sharing
After taking a study break from lifting- I went back this week and got the following numbers:
I'm doing body-weight everything- I consider that a win and one step closer to 1.5X bodyweight everything on my lifts and maybe eventually 2X but we shall see.
Negatives:
Super Challenge Goal: Remove Youtube from my life, this is the monster challenge because youtube is so deeply pervasive in my daily routine. Perhaps I’ll replace all youtube with podcasting first and go from there.
The deeper problem: I realize the deeper challenge of my life. The reason why all these distractions are so difficult to quit is because almost immediately within a day of quitting everything- the real dragons in my life confront me. I instantly get overwhelmed, stressed, fearful, etc and I revert back to the old distractions to keep me calm and just live another day without panic. When this pattern clicked in my head and I understood the deeper behavior pattern that was happening and I actually started to push back against the distraction response and kept myself is stress mode longer which feels great but it leads to a myriad of various habits falling apart because of how difficult it is to maintain a completely active combat response. Becoming antifragile is the ultimate character goal for the next 90 days.
Reward of the week: Watched Infinity War- motivated me to build those superhero physiques. I have the equipment and I’m already in shape, it’s all about diet now to take it to the next level.

First of all, this is a really nice, comprehensive, and well organized post. Some questions;
I'd like to start tracking my major lifts. When you say 140, 165, and 225, are these your clean form, single-rep personal records?
How was 12 Rules for Life? I've finished 'the Rational Male', the 'Red Pill Handbook', and the Red Pill sidebar. For my next books, I want to choose a non-fiction and a fiction book (for variety). For my fiction book, I'm leaning towards 'Gulag Archipelago' by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, upon Jordan Peterson's recommendation, actually. As for the non-fiction, there's just so many good books, I'm not exactly sure where to start. Would you recommend 12 Rules?
I spend a lot of time on youtube, and I'm starting to think about cutting it out. I generally watch content in which I learn something, as opposed to vlogs, games, etc., though I can drift away a bit. Where would you get your podcasts, audiobooks, and music from?
Finally, do you weigh and track your macros/calories? The community is generally torn about this.
Thanks.
[deleted] 5y ago
Yes they are my clean form single rep Records, I have taken a hiatus from the gym for finals so I think it'll take two weeks to get some higher numbers, gaining muscle is hard for me but I make progress slowly but surely.
I also watched only highest quality learning content but I realized I never applied what I learned so there is no point. As for other content I listen too; mainly business podcasts because it pertains to the business Im running. Ive never read Gulag so I dont know about it. 12 rules is a great book if you are just getting started and dont mind how he ties it to the bible. I think 12 rules pretty much is a more polite version of the sidebar and really reminds you of the importance of becoming a dominant man , second half of the book kinda stretches into politics/the gender university debate. I never knew anything about so of was fun but if u keep up to date on him , nothing you havent heard.
No I dont track calories , but I HAVE to track general macros for related health conditions I have to manage. Carbs , fats , sugar , protein.
Audible for audiobooks, Music from Apple Music.I get recommendations from all over the internet tbh. The key is to define a topic that interests you and matters to your development and chances are someone has written a blog post on it that gives you further content. Dont get trapped in consumption though.
jwarner95 5y ago
It's been a crazy two weeks since I first fully swallowed the pill. Some of the key concepts are just starting to absorb, but still nothing I can use practically yet. My emotions are all over the place, anger, mostly anger, but some depression and confusion as well.
Anyway:
Pros :
dealing with emotional problems I've suppressed for a while
Life is scheduled, sleep 9 pm - 5 am everyday, wake up to a full list of tasks and activities to do.
No more stimulants (i.e. caffeine and vyvanse)
Seeing good gains at the gym.
Went from playing league of legends 40-50 hours a week to 0.
Cons
Still can barely make moves on girls. Can start to feel more confident, stronger framed around them, but i have a ton of anxiety in opening and closing and it definitely shows. Seeing how most people talk about being with the pill for months and its only been a couple of weeks for me I'm not too worried, but I know that soon I'm going to have to start buckling down and taking shots in the dark, as what I'm reading here won't be useful unless I have actual experiences I can apply it to.

Dude congrats. 40-50 hours a week to 0 is massive.

Getting numbers means jack shit
TotalPigeon 5y ago
Finally cracked 100kg squat after getting form corrected. Have had hip pain at 85-90 for ages which stopped me going higher, completely gone now with better form and diet. Hopefully the numbers start moving again.
3 weeks no pmo, really noticing an improvement in anxiety levels. Still craving release but getting easier.
3 weeks no gaming, struggled a lot with filling time at first but have stopped missing it now and starting to add other things into the free time.
Been eating clean for a while now but on latest diet (ray peat inspired) running for 3 months. My eyes have actually improved (slightly) according to my latest eye test, not sure if it is related but I haven't been doing anything to them. Hope the trend continues.
Oland_Devo 5y ago
I've been getting lower back spine pain from doing Squats. I love Squats but my back kills me for a couple days after.
TotalPigeon 5y ago
You might be rounding your back. Keep your shoulders back and your head up at all times. Honestly getting my form corrected has made an amazing difference for me, I just busted through 110kg x 7 reps today. That was unthinkable a month ago - I couldn't do 1 at 100, and I would get a sore back too on occasion. Highly recommend you get a form check, if not with a trainer (preferably someone who is big and competes, they will know how you should look) at least post your form up to one of the fitness boards.
Oland_Devo 5y ago
Thanks mate! Getting a fitness coach next month so I'll be working on my form for sure. Squats are so important, I just want to get them right and get to that next level.
[deleted] 5y ago
I've been going to the gym after a good couple of years overweight. I now can't even stand the taste of junk food, or the smell of it. Lifting light weights atm but feeling amazing for it. One of my motivators is going back to university in three months looking totally different and ignoring the girl who rejected me. Win.
Also, speaking of her... I haven't messaged her again (since she ignored my last message) and I am finding it hard not to, but I am not chasing her. While I'm working out for my own health reasons, I can't wait to see her reaction when she sees me in three months. I know one of the reasons she isn't interested is because of the way I look rn, and yeah... we'll see.
EDIT: At the time of writing I was thinking about her but in all actuality I’ve been trying to do this for myself for a while now; it’s affected my social life, career, health - it was just a fun side bonus to turn up looking completely different, that’s all.
Twentyfivedeep 5y ago
As good a piece of motivation as sticking it to an ex/girl who rejected you can be for self-improvement, try and ditch that mentality ASAP. It's super unhealthy in the long run. Lifting, yoga, meditation, education, they should all be done for *You*. You lose frame and give your power to others the moment you decide you're making a change to spite them.
[deleted] 5y ago
Agreed, what if you improve quite a bit and you see her again and she doesn't give a shit anyway? All that effort for no payoff.
In fact, if you care too much about sticking it to her, it might be the reason it backfires. Forget bitches that reject you. Don't hold grudges.
[deleted] 5y ago
No totally, I agree. At the time of writing I was thinking about her but in all actuality I’ve been trying to do this for myself for a while now; it’s affected my social life, career, health - it was just a fun side bonus to turn up looking completely different, that’s all.
AlmightyPerun 5y ago
Yeah, external motivation is a bad idea, it just won't end well. Once that external motivator is gone, you no longer have any motivation, and you fall apart. That includes doing things out of spite. You should lift for yourself only, the motivation should be purely internal. You do it to become stronger and better, not to piss off other people. Work to change that.
Also, forget about her. You seem to care way too much about her. No shit she wasn't interested in a fat slob. Nobody around here is interested in walruses either. People have standards, it's not just women.
NotMyBestEffort 5y ago
To pile on. Take that same three months and begin to build abundance for yourself along with your muscles. Ole whatshername wont matter anymore.
WarViper1337 5y ago
Proud that I have been maintaining my gym schedule for the past two months. Stepping up weights tomorrow. Starting to see small gains when I look in the mirror.
Still working on cleaning up diet. I consume about 90% less processed sugar than I did before started getting serious about the going back to the gym. The sugar addiction is real though. When driving to work there is always a part of my mind trying to make an excuse to stop and buy a soda but so far I haven't caved into any cravings.
Finding new things to do outside the home. Meeting more friends and making new ones. Not turning down any activity I get invited to unless it conflicts with work schedule.
Decided to pick a red pill topic each week to research more closely. This week I was looking over all things related to shit testing since in my past it was a weak point of mine.

Plebsin 5y ago
"couldn’t walk straight the next day"
I would love to achieve that.
HerefortheTuna 5y ago
That’s why you lift and work on your core. I was always a skinny fuck but going to the gym regularly the past 6 months I have lots more stamina.
maimedwalker 5y ago
i went to gym did all my lifts and increased squat. gained 1lb eating a lot because im a skinny ectomorph. feel body image issues see bigger stronger guys at gym sometimea hold back tears when i leave because difgicult. kwep working and working on speaking less and controlling anger. remain mostly silent during work makes me less a target for shit trsts or subtle bullyimg. saving for a car.
WarViper1337 5y ago
Never worry about other people at the gym. There is no point in comparing yourself to them and getting jealous. When I see big guys at the gym I just say to myself "one day I will be a beast like those guys" and I use that as motivation to work out harder.
[deleted] 5y ago
Man, don't beat up or victimize yourself. There's folks a lot worse off than you. As far as I see, all you need to do is eat better and go to the gym. You're on the right track.
maimedwalker 5y ago
am on right track but body image issues. im not victimizing just sayimg things arent easy for me
gainzsince2001 5y ago
Stayed on my diet most of the week apart from one day which I fucked up because I did dabs before working out and had mad munchies after when I got home, need to limit my smoking to finish this cut as strong as I’d like. Also gave nofap a shot again and lasted 5 days which is better than the 2-3 I was usually getting when I last stopped, but would like to beat my pr of 8 days.
Futon_Rasenshuriken 5y ago
Pros: (Sorry this first one is so long, but it was a major achievement.)
I Absolutely trashed this one guy's overblown ego at the gym by outlifting him. For months, he's always trying to challenge me at bench boasting he can bench more than me easily. Because bench is all he does, he never challenges me to bicep curls, squats, deadlifts, etc. Never did I accept the challenges until yesterday.
I get to see him try 275 ( three times in fact) in person only to see he couldn't do it and then admitting he lied about his max for months. Then, it was my turn. Just in case I failed, he spotted one side while a friend of mine spotted the other side.
On my way bringing it up, my left side suddenly dropped some which held me down for a bit before I brought the weight back up. This guy tried doing the same weight AGAIN and failed. Later on, I found out from my friend that prick pushed down a bit on my left side to sabotage me. TRP was right when they said that people will literally try to bring you down when you're above them.
Hopefully after this, he backs off or is humbled.
Cons:
chrischrisv6 5y ago
Just curious but how old are you and the guy that tried to sabotage you? That's very serious he could have hurt you.
Futon_Rasenshuriken 5y ago
I'm 22, and I believe the other guy was about 26 or 27.

NoFap 2.5 weeks. Finally beginning to feel the difference in myself. Managed to levitate for 3 seconds yesterday. For real though, I do believe the abstinence from PMO makes a difference when you're not getting laid. I never busted a nut when in an LTR, so I've no experience here, however, since I'm currently away from the sexual-marketplace completely, I feel I unconsciously pedestalized women more when masturbating, and the lack of sex and female attention would sometimes get me down throughout my days. Now, however, I'm beginning to push pussy down my priority list. A blog post could be done in the differences and shit, so that ain't for here.
More PRs at le gym.
Got my festivals and concerts planned out for the year. Usually I'm horrendous at any organizing. Also tried planning a pub get-together with everyone from work, however it's ended up being just me, myself and I. Somewhat looking forward to finishing this placement in 2 weeks.
Negative:
Need to focus more when working. I find myself easily distracted. There are methods I can implement to increase focus, so I must do so.

I can relate. I also recently full on ghosted the ex on social media for the same reasons. No porn is a big one. Cold showers im still working into the 3min mark. I still drink socially which is kind of a regular thing... All my friends drink. It's the toughest so far. How did you go about writing your daily routine? Also do you keep a journal of progress? These are a couple key things I need to start doing.
I found the deal with the ex is that some of us (myself included) have to fully remove them from all aspects or our minds go back to that "what if" or "one day" or "maybe" bullshit that is retardedly counter productive. Keep it up homie.
