Here's a tip: Don't give a company access and the rights to the most important piece of who you are--your DNA. Because in addition to this bullshit, they get to sell it as they see fit. You'll have no idea who will end up with it and what they'll do with it.

The post goes to say that the sister took a test, found the man who raised her was not her father, and that she had a half brother somewhere. You all should be able to figure out what happened. Mom fucked around, got pregnant, and passed it off to her schmuck husband that it was his. However...the poster couldn't imagine this, and decided to take a test herself. Anyone guess the result?

Sure enough, she and her sister are absolutely blood related, her "father" is also not her father, and the same half-brother is her half-brother. Doesn't take a genius to figure out Mom was playing the long con; and got knocked up twice from the same guy. Probably easier to show if both kids look the same, eh?

So, why is this relevant? Because instead of focusing on being caught with some fairly relevant news, namely Mom's a whore; our OP was more concerned with the family being notified from 23andMe that Mom's a whore. Apparently there's some settings she didn't do properly, so everybody on the 23andMe got emails with the result. Ooops.

There was no mention of a confrontation, of what happens to the "father", who the real father is, or any of that. Our misguided female OP wants to know how to sue because of "damages".

The responses are full of the "surely there's a mistake", listing all the ways that a false test could happen (Sure, but twice? Nigga, please). One clown said "No way she could have kept a years long affair going, having sex without a condom...." I laughed like hell......"Yeah, what's MORE likely is that Mom fucked around". I'm pretty sure I can figure out who the real dad is, and why he's not around. Anyone else?

Lessons Learned:

We can pick the usual hypergamy, AWALT, etc. Note that if the daughters are mid-20's/30's...this didn't happen in today's society; it happened in the 80's/90's. Not the most prudish time, just an example of it can happen anywhere, to anyone.

Mom was successful. She had kids from a cock she wanted, and found someone else to raise them. Until now, I'm betting she had a pretty good life. The daughters can see this up front and personal.

FYI, the governments of the West all collect a genetic sample from you when you are born. This has been standard operating procedure for every Western country for at least three decades now.

The people who're paying for genetic testing in adulthood are paying to update the massive database kept on them. What do they do with this information? Well the DoD likes to create gigantic crowd sims to tabulate population feedback in certain scenarios. My guess is this goes well beyond such a thing.

But still, I am using this story as an "excuse" to force mandatory paternity tests. My father was eaten from inside by this uncertainty, and i could feel it as a 6 yo. I think this is a natural instinct in us, and if you sugarcoat is just enough, your significant other will understand it and not oppose this suggestion.

One shit test would be: "you dont'trust me yada yada". retort with this: giving the above story as a backdrop, tell her patiently that a mandatory testing CREATES trust, by alleviating naturals fears that males might have. you have nothing to fear, my dear, because after said test will come out alright, my investment will increase tenfold. and besides, this is a condition we're setting way ahead of things happening, how would you feel if i ask for this test AFTER you plopped out the kid, hm?

Yes, but keep in mind that there's always someone "more alpha" than you in some way. It's situational. A skinny deadbeat hobo musician is "more alpha" than you on a camping trip. He's cool, rebellious, doesn't follow social norms, and knows how to play the guitar.

Within the context of that camping trip, your six figure salary, good life and the body of a greek god don't matter too much, especially if you aren't there. Have to check the laws in your state. In some states you can do this and in others you can't. In some states if you refuse to sign then she can have you listed as the father without your consent. Then it is a massive legal battle to protect your rights even if the DNA results are 100% conclusive that it is not your child.

Like I said it depends on your states laws. In some states she can list you without your consent. In others you have to be present to sign. A few states will allow a DNA paternity test to be performed before you sign. Finally no matter where you live she can always lawyer up and press you for money and there isn't much you can do about it especially if the child is actually yours. Refusing to sign or not showing up is only delaying when the state will come knocking at your door to let you know that they will be taking a part of your pay check for the next 18 years.

Yes and no. Yes you technically can, but it's still a crime. So if France finds out you got DNA test (even outside the country) it's still a crime.
