Summary: Is pornography bad for you? Probably yes. Everything is bad when you abuse it. Can you use it as a tool to sexualize your game? Oh, yes.

#noporn, #nowanks

There are numerous studies on the effects of porn (and masturbating to it) on healthy males and the conclusions aren't good for anyone who pays for a subscription on a xxx site. And while we’re at it - who does that with all the free videos out there?!

If you have a problem, any problem, if you have any erectile dysfunctions, sex or libido issues, anything out of the ordinary - masturbation and porn should be the prime suspects. If everything is ok - I'd still recommend quitting both just to find out how you feel without them.

I suspect that many of the bad effects of pornography are the result of masturbating to porn rather than merely watching it. Usually hitting play is quickly followed by some skin on skin action, brief euphoria and the feeling of guilt.

Use, Don't Abuse

When it comes to something easy and pleasurable it's far too easy to become addicted. Even if it's not an addition (yet) then you might develop a bad habit. And it’s going to ruin your life little by little.

Such is the nature of life that most of the easy, pleasurable and enjoyable things are bad for you in the long run and those that are good require hard work, dedication and sacrifice. And for most of us it's impossible to live a life of pure diligence. You're going to slip up and there's no point in beating yourself if it's a rare event.

However, you can't use it as an excuse. You have to be on track most of the time and exception should be exactly that - an usual thing, a mistake or... a tool.

Strategic Use Of Porn

I had no problem in quitting masturbation and after two months it just became a forgotten art. Maybe I felt a little bit hornier in the beginning but since I always have few girls that I'm sleeping with it wasn't an issue.

Rejecting pornography (and erotica/nudes) was quite different. As it turned out after two months of not watching porn my libido was low. I had no problem having sex but my desire to approach other girls and fuck everything that moves was for most of the time gone.

What jump-started my daygame motivation was - surprisingly - a different kind of porn session. I just watched some clips, ogled hot bodies, and listened to loud moans to put myself in a sexual mood without even touching myself. Next morning I woke up with a huge boner and desire to find a new girl.

Since that experience I've been using this technique to push myself to approach more and be more sexual when I'm not feeling like it. "I have no interest in hot, young girls" is a terrible excuse. But remember - it's just watching, not touching! Replacing real sex with masturbating to porn is a colossal mistake.

Because real sex is better than anything you'll ever see on your computer screen.

Lessons (re)learned:

  • If you have any problems with porn - avoid it. Avoidance is easier than resistance.
  • Stop masturbating, even if you watch porn. It'll keep you in the sexual mood.
  • You can try to watch some porn (without touching yourself!) before you go out to amp yourself up.
