This article is fascinating and highly recommended. Reading it with a RP perspective, my alarm bells went off with the folllowing statement concerning the rise of these trigger warnings: "Burns defines emotional reasoning as assuming “that your negative emotions necessarily reflect the way things really are: ‘I feel it, therefore it must be true.’ ” Leahy, Holland, and McGinn define it as letting “your feelings guide your interpretation of reality.” Feelings=Reality; a RP warning regarding the feminine imperative.
The authors give very compelling reasons for the rise of this phenomenon over the last few decades. As I read through it, I became very sensitized to what the genders of the trigger warners were. Not to say all were female, but clearly many were.
The elephant in the room, the one the authors dare not invoke, lest they risk being pilloried on social media and their livelihoods, is the dramatic increase of the female college population over the period of time discussed as an additional reason for the rise in the phenomenon. This from the U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics. (2015): "Since 1988, the number of females in postbaccalaureate programs has exceeded the number of males. Between 2002 and 2012, the number of full-time male postbaccalaureate students increased by 28 percent, compared with a 42 percent increase in the number of full-time female postbaccalaureate students."

All humans imitate each other.
Women imitate even more than men and do so unconsciously.
So with women you get a "herd mentality". Whatever the herd experiences emotionally they will experience together.
If the herd sees a hot looking guy then like a series of falling dominoes they become attracted to him. As each female imitates the desires of the next the tension increases and rivalries grow.
The guy is now pre-selected. He can pick any girl in the herd.
Some other guy might walk into the scene and not get noticed because the desired object has already been selected.
Triggers are when you defy the herd mentality. It's breaking from the herd.
It's entirely mythical and irrational, but it's real because women are unconscious of their true nature. (women couldn't be objective even if they wanted to)
AWALT.
Frame is the ability to resist imitating one's environment. This makes men capable of things that women are not, but only if the man chooses to hold frame. A man that never holds frame we call beta and he imitates and tries to blend into the herd.

i will have to agree with this. im surrounded by many women for my classes. one girl gawks at another guy and they all follow suit. its crazy to see it happen. most of thee girls around me arent worth a LTR or anything, but worth spinning as a plate to have fun here and there.

This is lethal in its truth.
This last summer I was in an accelerator program (entrepreneurs) that met once a week. 8 girls, 3 guys. Plus myself. Very exclusive.
The first day, one girl openly asks me what I'm doing after the program. All the girls wanted to know more about my business. Thank you lifting and social competence.
The second week two more tried to corner me in down time.
By the end of the first month dresses had gotten shorter, becoming skirts, pushing the limits of "business casual" and girls wouldn't sit down until I had, then they'd file around my table. "can you help me with something" and "hey I need to talk to you, do you have time for me?" became the normal white noise.
By the end of the program I'd been "accidentally joined" at one of my frequent locations on the weekend, a local stand up comedy spot, by every girl except one, an elder woman, 37, PhD in research. Interestingly enough, she's the only other entrepreneur who absolutely crushed at the investment cocktail. I mean crushed, first responses at 1.2million in contracts. (research for colleges is big money).
At the cocktail follow up, "A-list investment cocktail and demo day" every girl except that 37yr old wanted to sit down with me to drink, and as a group asked for my number to "Keep in contact, maybe do something sometime" it got even more aggressive when I won the cocktail competition netting a quick grand for the night, and two of three the biggest seed investment funds as prospects. (I won most provable and likely to scale business, the upcoming investor is offering 2mill starting and a 500k contract as a trial run in addition)
Now I'm a shameless flirt, and I'm very good at what I do. Kino is second nature to me. However this was business. I never had any intentions nor did I reveal my schedule. I refused flat out to help them with anything outside of the meeting location. I very openly would talk about my girlfriend "yes I'm in an ltr" to their reactions of deaf ears and selective hearing, like it was just an obstacle.
The domino's do fall and pre selection is a rule. To flip it, one of the other guys was definitely a 9, but failed miserably at the first meeting by actually VOLUNTEERING the fact that he couldn't afford to drive to the session and back, asking for a carpool. "wtf man, keep that shit private and make it work"
Tldr pre selection is awesome, saying no and post selection is even more effective.
And don't shit where you eat.

Interesting definition of frame. I've not see it described that way, except maybe in metaphor: Be the rock on which the waves crash.

Emotional reasoning sounds like an oxymoron to me. If this truly is being embraced by higher education facilities then we can look forward to a couple of generations of feeble idiots.

Sounds more like rationalization to me. An attempt to reconcile cognitive dissonance (colliding emotions).

Women complain and cry out of proportion to the stimulus to rattle their feeelz and to get the attention from men. Ever wonder why women scream so loudly and freak when they see a rat or a spider? Look at this video in a courtroom where a man who attacks the guy who raped and strangled his mother. The women in the crowd, a very safe distance from the scene, and not even in danger, start running and screaming frantically like small mammals do. Very unecessary. Basically it's saying, "my uterus needs protection, to be safe, I will run away from even the most minor danger and call out for help in a high pitched voice so men will come to my rescue and neutralize the danger for me".

"Trigger Warning" is one of the worst phrases out there. There's a reason it is mostly used by women. It implies that something can 'trigger' you and you have no choice but to react in a certain way. Complete lack of agency. Like you are an unintelligent object. If something can 'trigger' you, you are basically saying your feelings have complete control over your actions and your thought processes are irrelevant.
It's what a gun would say after shooting someone. "My trigger was pulled. I had no choice but to fire a bullet and kill that guy." 99% of humans (non psychopaths) feel emotions. How we act on those emotions is up to us. If you understand the biological and evolutionary reasons that you feel a certain way, and are in control of your life, you can be a man and act rationally.

Like everything in the feminist/SJW world "triggers" are a real, yet rare, legitimate psychological issue for some people. The term originates from PTSD, typically cases induced by TBI(traumatic brain injury).
The original "triggers " weren't words but situations. Think of a veteran that had been blown up and now has intense over reactions to the sound of fireworks or a car backfiring. These however are due more to the physical damage to the brain than the psyc disorder of PTSD.
It is unfortunate that the SJW crowd coopted the term to mean reading a word on the internet considering the reality of what a trigger actually is.

I don't think females are the problem. It's radical SJWism that's the problem, women are more susceptible to the brainwashing but it's the professors that are the leaders.

One of the core tenants of Stoicism. It is also what Albert Ellis based Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy on.
Emotional thinking is what women do. Rational thinking is what men do.
