John Lewis is (was?) the crown jewel of UK retail, founded in 1864. It went on to be the best loved of all the department stores. But in 2020 they appointed a diversity hire as CEO and went on a crusade to 'redress gender balance' in the company. Sharon White is openly bigoted and racist and has gone on record as saying that the company was 'too white and too male' before she got there. Now 60% of leadership roles are women, and the company has racked up huge losses. Now she's complaining that she can't hire any guys.
This is what happens when you appoint a social justice warrior to pursue things like 'celebrating women in business' and diversity and inclusivity. If your priority is not 100% focused on making money, you will lose money.

@house of hazards It turns out that there are many people who think like me, thinking they are a company. This is not a light mistake.

Wrong forum.

Is it really? She's openly sexist (against men) so I would say that what she is doing is very relevant to men's rights. The 'white men are evil' is all part of the growing problem with the Femocracy that we now find ourselves in.

Funny thing is, even lots of women don't want to work in a female dominant workplace. They can't stand each other. Ask most women who their professional mentors are and you'd be surprised how many mention males. That's not just because there are more senior men, but because men can actually separate professional and personal relationships, and mentor young colleagues rather than focus on gossiping and creating interpersonal drama.

It's called the go-woke-go-broke business model. The bank that just failed had a woke risk assessment officer that ended the company.

Are you talking about Signature Bank? Yeah - they were a total car crash. Their moto was 'Diversity is our strength' - you should have a look at their PR films. Its quite clear what their priorities were.... diversity and inclusivity. You can see that they did tolerate some beta guys, as long as they were super beta and cucked. No 'toxic masculinity' allowed!!

Yeah that bank. I think the Silicon Valley Bank was also super woke.

It obviously was. This is what happens if you hire people for better 'gender balance'. instead of hiring the best person for risk managment.

Yeah their whole team was woke women and they were spending billions on woke causes to woo in the hollywood wokesies with their money.

10y ago I was hearing that JL shares were owned by employees and thats why they were doing so great, because of people being involved in company.
I know that they weren't doing too good lately (~4y)and shut some brick and mortar shops to move online, but that.coincided with COVID.
I wonde4 does ALDI or lidl goes woke. I have seen in my local one pink colored woman and one that looks like junkie on detox. Diversity met.

Doubtful. Those are German companies (the same company, actually). They don't buy into the American Woke Bullshit. Also, their gingerbread windmill cookies are the fucking best!
SSeuSS 2y ago
Are you talking windmill Christmas houses (I promise myself to get them for last 5 years) or speculants in chocolate (cinnamon).
No-Stress-Cat 2y ago
Hell yeah! I always by them at Christmas time like 10 packs and I don't share with nobody!
Lone_Ranger 2 2y ago
They're not the same company. But you are right, their cookies kick ass.
No-Stress-Cat 2y ago
Awww, man, Ranger you done burst my bubble. All these years I thought they were the same company, and now I'm going to just have to buy twice as many cookies!
