I think I know this. Same reason they try to impress us with their jobs if they have good ones. It's because that's what they find hot when we do it, the broody look turns them on. I definitely prefer seeing them smiling tho

Let's say your mom dresses you your whole life.
Or, you dress yourself, and your mom aunt and grandma all agree you look very handsome.

This is the girl equivalent, she's dressed in a way to please people with no sexual connection (or more accurately people where a sexual connection would be inappropriate and uncomfortable).

The guy who's dressed by his mom may not understand why "women" like how he looks but not the women he wants to sleep with. Likewise the girl may not understand why when her mom, her dad, and her sister love how she looks, why guys she's attracted to do not find it appealing at all.

1.) Attracted to slutty women. Slutty isn't the same as masculine.

2.) Men aren't attracted to masculine women. They may say they are but that's a result of social constructionism, a failed ideology of the 1960s.
