Consider yourselves warned. Several of us have been hinted to that the gynocentrism of Reddit wouldn't tolerate us much longer and it appears the admins are finally starting to put those threats into practice.

I've had 2 accounts get shadowbanned with no explaination in the last 24 hours, all because I partake in /r/mensrights and /r/theredpill. (one account for each sub)

edit: Between this thread and it's duplicate I posted at MR it has become clear they started banning us earlier than I previously though. A lot of our patrons here have had their accounts shadowbanned for parcipating here.

Yes, thebluepill's thread discussing this one has touched on this. When you criticize the tenets of the modern left, it is 'hate speech'. TRP should apparently be banned because it promotes 'hate speech'.

It's really quite a useful trick. They've set up a political ideology where they get away with labeling any and all criticism as hate speech. It reminds me of a discussion I once read about deconstructionism, where the author had claimed that logic itself was nullified by the act of deconstruction, which of course meant it was then impossible to refute.

It's amazing that the left doesn't get called on this more often.

I'm a guy, just a normal guy. I don't like getting yelled at by feminists, shamed into not smiling at the babies in their mother's arms in line at the grocery store. I don't like how 'sexual harrasment' causes everyone's brain to go sproik!

But I am new to reddit, and I want to use an anonymous account for commenting here. Your 'batten down the hatches' approach to community building is a little ... underwhelming.

That bot automatically removes posts by new accounts as a means of stamping out trolls. Hell, even my own posts have been auto-removed today and had to get them approved so they'd show up. Nature of the beast.

character for character they're the same word but there's a subtle difference just as in the real world.

You didn't say it. But the context of this thread led me to that.

Everybody is focusing on the being liberal but being censored discussion. And you came out in favor of some plurality, asking people not to label things that quickly. Yet, you didn't get as many upvotes as the people who are labeling everything, which clearly sends a message that not even in TRP one can have a different opinion. In essence: if you're not thinking that it's the liberals' fault, you're kinda censored by RedPillers' peer pressure.

I thought that was kinda funny.

Besides what does being liberal have to do with censorship? Reddit admins could be a bunch of feminazis for what I know. It's a private website after all.

Oh thank you I see your point. And yes I've seen this too. While some of the advice on TRP is great, god forbid you ever say anything that doesn't go strictly to their side of view. But sadly the same thing can be said about reddit in general, I'm surprised of how one-sided thinking an open community like reddit can have.

I love how you get downvoted, even though what you say is thought provoking and relevant to the conversation, and true. You can say anything you want, it doesn't mean people have to listen to it, you can't force people to listen to your ravings...right, wrong, or indifferent.
It's like those cities where they were putting up a free speech zone...blocks away from the would be speakers preferred audience. I think it's a screwed up approach, but your not guaranteed a podium in the middle of your target audience.

I migrated all my redpill activity to a separate account and deleted all my redpill comments from my main one, more as a precaution against getting doxxed than a fear of banning, but still I'd consider it a wise precaution.

Also, those extensions that mask your refferer info work wonders, not only for this site but for many others as well.

Oh come on. There's massive paranoid narcissism in this thread. This sub has less than 20K subscribers, with only a tiny fraction of those actually even participating . I forget I'm subscribed here and only remember when a post manages to scrape together a 100 votes or so, and then I'll lurk for a bit.

I've mentioned in some threads directing a few lost men over here, usually the ones who cheated or been cheated on as their land whale girlfriend neutered his masculinity. Reddit has been doing this thing for awhile.

The people over at 4chan made some subreddits making fun of SRS and they were shut down and people were banned. The first one was even a private subreddit, not linking to any other subreddits posts. There wasn't even anything that violated the terms of service.

The admins are actively banning communities. We made another site (a reddit clone) as a supplement for reddit. Feel free to join and invite your friends. We only have two rules over there: 1) No CP 2) No Doxx.

There aren't any TRPers there but you guys might be the first. It's very bare-bone at the moment, admins don't have all their tools (can't see IPs for example or shadow ban accounts) but we have people working on that as we speak.

I believe in nationalizing core industries such as transport, mining and production. I agree with liberals on many points regarding personal liberties and freedom. I find SRSers closer to fascism/totalitarianism than most liberals I've met and /pol/ just seems to be conservative for the sake of being conservative.

coming from a strong libertarian background, I used to be a strong supporter of those ideals; however after hanging out with the local socialist organizations for a while, I realized they're not about personal liberties at all; and believe me, I gave them a chance, attending their weekly book readings and discussions for about half a year.

most of those personal freedoms they purport i.e. right to abortion, gay marriage, no fault divorce, secular state etc...

but they support many anti-personal freedoms i.e. censorship, alimony/child support, affirmative action(equal opportunity), gun control etc...

...I find SRSers closer to fascism/totalitarianism than most liberals I've met.

what I came to realize about democrats, was that they were essentially uneducated socialists. They support those ideals for some false sense of a moral code, they've been programmed to accept due to media/educational influences. The SRSers are essentially the 'smart' democrats, they're the textbook socialists.

and I call normal democrats uneducated, because if you ask them, why they support those specific personal freedoms, and not others, such as the right to gun ownership, you get a response that has no basis from a constitutional standpoint, but instead an emotional appeal i.e. "well, I think if people love each other, they should be able to get married" or "well, if a woman is raped, and she conceives, she shouldn't have to carry that child to term", but these sort of ideas are easily refuted, i.e. marriage is not a discussion on whether people can love each other, but it's a discussion on contract law, and we have a whole branch of laws dedicated for contracts; or if we jump over to the abortion discussion, only about 2% of all abortions are performed because of either rape/incest, meaning that's not where the discussion should center on; it's really about stronger access to birth control. Even more then that, since it's a discussion on 'right to abortion', which means abortions must be sponsored by the government.

You probably wonder why I pick these two issues, and it's because they're both clearly anti-traditional family unit issues. Much with many other liberties on the socialist agenda. France, they've outlawed paternity testing. In America, they champion the single mom, or gay families, or multicultural/mixed families, because it challenges the traditional family unit.

And after hearing this, you might question why socialists would be against a strong traditional family unit, and it's because they believe, by creating a more interconnected society, i.e. men don't know who's their kid, should in theory lead to lower interpersonal conflict; however we know it doesn't. Instead we have many men who shirk their social responsibility and drop out of society, which is what we're now starting to see in America. Look at the black community, they have been tools of the socialist agenda longer then anyone, and the result is high unemployment, high crime rate, and a displacement of focus from education into a different lifestyle.

There was a good documentary about black men taking year long vacations in Brazil, and how could you blame them? in good faith, you couldn't. Feminists shrieking warcry men need to 'man up', but they've been dealt a bad hand and reacted to it accordingly. And that's where the Mexican american community is heading. And that's where the Caucasian american community is heading. And , more slowly, the Asian american community is heading.

In Sweden, big big socialist country, highest divorce rate in the world. Semi-recently, white men began wife-ing Thai women. The result? the divorce rate drops to less then 20%. why? because Thai women are taught to believe strongly in the traditional family unit.

I'm not sure how to wrap this up, but democrat = uneducated socialist, SRSer = educated socialist.

How is reddit free speech? It isn't. It caters to the masses of people that want to come here to be entertained. If you have something to say that isn't in lockstep with the rest of the group, you're going to find out how free this format isn't.

This is all just part of a big cycle that I have seen over and over again. My first view of this was when I used to frequent fark.com. Fark started out as a news aggregator type site where folks could post a link and other folks could comment on it. Fark lost a lot of their user base when it was found out that you could buy sponsored links and have the fark ad team write up a link for you. A couple of users figured this out and mentioned it on fark. Those users were banned by their IP address and weren't even able to view the site. This is why fark is overrun with Heineken ads all day everyday. Drew Curtis made so much bank off the whole deal that he doesn't care what his users say.

Digg has a similar story. I think that it was very much the same kind of sponsored link scam. Users were banned from digg also.

And here we have reddit. Really not a new concept for forums, as it has been done by many other sites. I found reddit by google searching "alternatives to digg." I only joined reddit knowing that there would be a time limit on free speech and expression. I think that time is almost up.

I think that I will have to go and do a search for "alternatives to reddit." Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and start using 4chan all the time... I don't think that 4chan has much incentive to ban anybody.

Also, remember that the guys at the top of reddit are making gigantic amounts of cash from you generating content.

r/relationships, /r/askmen (which has female mods), r/askwomen, r/relationshipadvice...and all those related subreddits are modded by feminists and SRSers.

If anything, just don't go there. You wouldn't go into a mosque and try to preach Buddhism or to an Obama rally and preach small government, so just don't bother at all. You'll only get frustrated.

Another reason not to: If anything, SRSers see you, get riled up and then organize and lobby Reddit admins to implement said bans. So you're not doing any good there either.

Btw, does anyone know an "archive" tool that archives all the comments and submissions you've made? Kinda like a redditlog but for an entire username?

Hey, check out Scrapbook Plus. It's a firefox/chrome extension. A lot easier to use and works on mac as well.

Generally speaking you don't argue with feminists to win them over. You argue and present your points and let 3rd parties who would otherwise not know any different decide for themselves what to believe. Our ranks have grown considerably because of it.

There are shadow bans on two levels thread level or site wide. You may be banned from posting or commenting in threads. You can check threads that don't send you a message telling you are banned by logging out and seeing if you can view your comment. Another indication is if you post in a thread and your comment never gets an upvote, downvote or reply.

Sitewide Shadowban: Logout and refresh your user page, if it says page not found you've been shadow banned. If you are not logged in paste your user name at the end of this http://www.re ddit.com/user/ and pressing enter. You'll have to remove the space in reddit since we can no longer cross link. If it says page not found and shows you a graphic you've been banned.

You aren't banned currently because I can see your user profile and up vote your post.

If you were shadow banned I wouldn't be able to see your post or your user profile. If you are shadow banned your votes don't count and your comments aren't seen by anyone but you (you do not exist and cannot participate on reddit besides signing in and viewing threads).

It was a new rule made by mods of TRP to even further prevent vote bragading. Reddit admins were onto us and looking for the smallest excuse to ban this sub, so mods took it to the extremes (no cross linking) to avoid it. It sometimes sucks, but thinking long term, I think it's better being safe than sorry.

Unfortunately not. SRS are Reddit's sheltered little group. I remember hearing that one of the SRS mods is a reddit admit. There was even this shitty video that came out recently showing Reddit's support for SRS.

Usually you get a message from an automoderator saying that you have been banned from posting in that subreddit. I received one from r/feminism and r/askfeminists on an alt account. I was worried that r/theredpill was making me misogynistic, so I added those to broaden my vantage point. I was banned for posting without being female. Literally no other explanation.

I made a couple reasonable well thought out (probably more bluepill than redpill) comments and was told that I "could not make top-level comments". I messaged asking why I could not make top level comments. I was told that only feminists could make them. I asked which of my comments were not compatible with feminist ideology. I was then told that it's not what I'm saying but rather who I am. I asked what the definition of a feminist was any why I didn't fit. I was then banned.

Can't make that shit up.
