I listen to some of Gary Vaynerchuk’s stuff, mostly for his interviews and keynotes because this type of speaking is something I aspire to do someday in the future.

I listened today to a recent episode where he talks with an Internet girl named Amanda Bucci. She’s a very typical internet girl who’s famous because she’s hot. You know the type – bikini and fitness pictures all over Instagram and she got her subscribers on YouTube because she posted almost daily workout videos of herself in tight booty shorts with sports bras.

Where the post wall gold comes in is that she talks about how she’s tried to make a shift into talking more about serious things and get into coaching. When I did some brief minor digging I saw that her workout videos a year ago used to get 500-700k hits, which means her subscribers were well over a million people, and now she’s down ¼ of that amount. Recent videos (where she’s wearing clothes and trying to talk about deep topics) are barely getting 10k views after two months. Her IG pictures where she wears bikinis get 25k likes and she posted a video about a month ago seductively stripping in fitness clothes and that got a ton of views, but everything else is dropped to less than half of that numbers wise.

She claims that she doesn’t care, and that she’s trying to figure out how to “inspire people” and really isn’t feeling what got her famous in the first place – that she’s a hot girl on the internet and has nothing else of substance.

What is even funnier is when Gary basically realizes that he can’t come out and tell her that she’s famous for being hot so he starts rambling about basically nothing at about 12 minutes into the interview. When you see the expression on his face it basically screams “how does this girl not know that she’s only famous for being hot” and he starts avoiding questions and gives her zero advice.

The link to the interview is here – she has an edited version on her Youtube which picks out the best parts but you can still tell he has zero interest. In fact, he didn’t even upload it to his channel online but I was listening on Spotify.

This is a perfect example in my mind of post wall internet fame. This person had zero substance beyond her booty and STILL – after seeing her subscribers tank and her presence dwindle to 25% of what it was – doesn’t understand that she should have just kept on stripping in the gym for videos. Just like those 30 year old women in your life who try to lock down a beta provider, I can almost guarantee that within six months this girl will find an “investor” (the only way she can, with her body) and start a company that will quickly tank – then she will end up pregnant and married because she will still have her looks.

A prime example in our society of how being adored by millions of horny guys makes women think that they have something to offer besides jerk off fodder.

Gentlemen, get off of the internet and actually create something of substance in yourself. If you want to run a company, go ahead and do it, but do it because you actually have something to offer. If you are working at a job, even if you hate it, learn how to be the best at it and then strategize for a better opportunity. Don’t rely on something so superficial as social media in order to build your self esteem and your future.

And remember that when you meet that Insta model or person with massive subscribers online, there is a reason they got there and usually it’s because they did something to stimulate horny men. They mostly have zero substance to offer. This realization can help those of you who are intimidated by women with a strong social media presence, especially you younger ones who seem to care. Don’t. Treat them just like any other person and you will be much better off.

This is a great example of how our society is today when it comes to women.
