Hi guys, fast one here cause my first post never got published for some reason.
I'm thinking of buying a 200pill/50mg bottle of zinc supplement to boost my testosterone, help me with all the benefits of more testosterone and have 2 more chest hairs.
Is it safe? what's the recommended dose per day? when do i take it? Im 36 and 1.77meters
Google isn't helping too much on this.I know some of you may have the knowledge.

Bought it anyways.Person in the shop told me 50mg is pretty standard, since the minimum recommended is 30mg, it can go as high as 100mg.
I may have a defficiency,as I think most men do these days. I do work out diligently, just calisthenics that have helped me lose weight reliably, no weight lifting yet. Maybe after i lose more weight I'll go to the gym and get some mass
I guess the 50mg a day will do.Any tip or info guys?

Just lift. Why wait?
That's not even logical. Muscle requires calories so why are you waiting to lift as if you need to lose weight first? Calories that would go to muscle instead of fat

It makes perfect sense for me to lift for weight loss. But my work schedule doesn't allow me to go to the gym right now because I get home at about 6:40pm (i wake up at 5:30am), then I take a nap when I get home and I could go to the gym, sure, but the closest one is expensive to me ($65/month, wage is about $360/month) and it takes 20min to walk there. Then at that time, the gym is packed with kids and a 40min session would take 90minutes easily. Then i get home and I'd have to take care of whatever else I need to do, like cooking, shower or whatever, including enoigh sleep.
Since I have made a lot of progress working out at home, losing weight and fitting into smaller clothes, I decided to just get to my ideal shape, I mean as thin as i was about 5 years ago, and then consider the gym for getting jacked.
Also at my 36 years, my knees are not the same as they were before, some shoulder/rotator cuff issues last time I went to the gym too.

That makes sense to me

Get you some dumbbells. If you buy a pair each paycheck you should have a nice set after a couple of months. They pair great with doing calisthenics if you can't lift heavy.

Sounds great actually, there a ton of lifts in youtube for just dumbbells, lots of ideas there.

50mg per day is good. It will also improve your immune system and make it less likely for you to catch a cold.

I take 50mg of Zinc daily. It helps shorten colds if I get one. And it makes my loads huge! Take your 50 mg. Its not a miracle but it does help.
Just make sure you're lifting, eating clean and having as much sex as possible to keep optimal testosterone levels.

personally I recommend eating whole foods that are naturally rich in the nutrients you want to increase in your diet.
the reason why I say this is because for the vast majority of supplements, ranging from whey protein powders to vitamin C pills, is that the nutrients are stripped from their "natural habitat" and isolated through chemical processes that render them less digestible by your body.
your body evolved to consume whole foods and to extract nutrients from them. when you consume these nutrients in isolation, your body has trouble recognizing and digesting them properly, reducing their bioavailability and a lot of it just gets wasted when you shit it back out.
the processes involved in isolating these nutrients also often involves harmful chemicals that remain in the final product.
I dont take any supplements of any kind and simply eat a diet with foods rich in the nutrients I need. theres tons of protein in foods like chicken, eggs, and peas. zinc occurs naturally in beef, chicken and other meats as well as many legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains.
just eat more of the stuff that has the nutrients you need and your body will take care of the rest. you benefit more from whole food since they contain a mix of different nutrients you need to be healthy, carbohydrates, fat, protein, fiber and various vitamins and minerals, all rolled into one delicious and nutritious package
zinc also isnt the only nutrient that affects testosterone. theres a medley of other nutrients you need, like magnesium. eat more spinach and become like popeye

50 mg of Zinc is a little high. Its Ok as a theraputic dose but its a bit high for a maintenance dose. Consider the RDA of 11mg which most people probably get from a healthy diet, sure you don't have to be that low but I wouldn't keep the dose at 50 indefinitely.
What I would also consider is how absorbable is your zinc -read up on the forms. For example; zinc oxide is rubbish, zinc gluconate good.
Consider ZMA which contains more stuff that will help your hormones and get you better sleep if you have some before bed -zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6 combined. Again the forms of the zinc and magnesium differentiate a quality supplement from a crap one..

50 mg per day is fine. Chances are you won't notice anything unless you're deficient in zinc.

Googling is exactly what you need to do. I know it's hard to read and use critical analysis to distinguish what's true and not - but do your own research jesus christ.

Examine.com is all you need for research summaries and reccomendations.
