My friend and I were discussing this lately, and he argued that the reason why incarcerated men are so jacked is not only because they work out all the time (as a deterrent from violence against themselves) or because they shoot up exogenous hormones, but because they’re surrounded by all these dangerous men and the body naturally produces more testosterone as a defense mechanism.
Another point that he made: he mentioned a guy that we know who’s in his 40s and in a horrible place physically - he’s obese, gets no exercise, eats crap. I asked my friend, how can someone like that get out of that situation - maybe getting on TRT would be the first step? And my friend claims that what the guy in question really needs is a group of masculine males to hang out with and engage in activities that require high T (sports or jobs like construction, etc - dangerous activities) because right now he’s digging himself further into the hole by not only disregarding exercise and proper diet, but also by surrounding himself with liberals, feminist women and Kamala videos - basically making himself as cucked as possible, in hopes that he would be accepted.
So, my argument was that it all starts at the molecular level (he can’t get better if his T is too low) and my friend’s argument was that it starts with the environment and who we surround ourselves with (and that the guy doesn’t really need TRT). What do you think?

I have to agree with your friend, this doesn't sound like a testosterone issue. Hanging out with masculine friends might instead change his perspective by him fitting in. If all else fails, watching how those guys get laid would redpill him a hell of a lot faster than any convincing. Don't give him hope then forget about him though, that would probably make him even worse.

No. Diet and lifestyle choices can effect testosterone. In jail you only have to focus on getting jacked and doing roids.

It's best to stay natural for as long as possible. Diet, products used on your body (such as soaps, deodorants, lotions, anything that gets absorbed into your skin), physical activity, etc all have an effect, and it's better to do what you can there before trying TRT. Once you start TRT, you can't stop because your body will never naturally produce up to that level again.
As far as who you hang out with, that may have an effect, but who knows? It's more likely that high-T men choose high-T environments and dislike silly emotional shit. Chicken and egg, and all that.
Anyway, that dude you two are talking about (gossiping like little hens) isn't going to change anything until he wants to. So why worry yourselves over some other dude who won't even take care of himself?

High T leads some towards aggression, agression with lack of impulse control leads to bad decisions which could land you in prison.
My understanding of the studies you two are discussing is that T-Levels don't go up just because you go to jail, there's just high levels throughout that population compared to society.
I'd go further and say high T men hang out with other high T men. You are a product of those you associate with.

I don’t know how the fucj they get so jacked in jail. To be honest, if I had to guess (and know that my guess may be wrong), I would venture to say that they get to an intermediate lifter’s level with low body fat %. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me. Because think about it; you can be 20% body fat and some Reddit retard will tell you to bulk. That shit doesn’t happen in prison, nobody is bulking on purpose there. They’re eating what they can but they’re not fucking “bulking”.

No, it doesn't. Unless you're in a high stress environment (cortisol hurts T production) or low sunlight environments (sun exposure does have some effect on testosterone and vitamin D and cholesterol) no

This is an interesting one. I am not sure science quite has all the answers. Do democrat voting vegan groups attract low T guys or does hanging out with soy boy democrats tank your T? I am not sure if there is not a small effect of being in a group but I don't think science has measured it.
Science does know that stress makes for cortisol and cortisol tanks your T. So if a guy is stressed in prison, he will suffer low T. Being well fed, relaxed and doing short bouts of intense exercise all help your T as does vitamin D. Quite a lot of that can be achieved for a guy who is a big dog in prison but can't be for a guy who is scared.
The thing about dangerous activities is that they are only good if they are short bursts. A day working in a dangerous situation will hit your T -the cortisol also hits your recovery. After decades of a dangerous job, believe me I know. It teaches you to build the men around you up not knock them down as you will all be needing each other some day if not today, so it fosters feeling good about each other and the group, which is very healthy for a man but I don't think it increases T.
One thing is look at the young construction workers with their shirts off on a summer day. They mostly all look pretty good. Now what about the 50 year old? For every one 50 year old construction worker who looks good with his shirt off, there are probably 10 fat fucks and there are not nearly as many 50 year olds all together as 20 year olds -most quit or managed to move off the tools. Those jobs grind men down. The office 50 year old accountants will on average look better with their shirts off than the 50 year old construction workers. Accountant gets up at 7.00 to 8.00, has a nice relaxing day at the office, goes to the gym, counts his money. Construction worker gets up at 5.00 to 6.00, grabs a can of red bull and a sandwich at a garage, eats crap all day to keep his energy up, goes home and collapses on the sofa. When he was young and his body was strong, his T was high and his aerobic system was on point, he looked like a young god, now he is a fat old man, worn out.
Going bouldering in the sunshine -yeah that will help your T lots. Climbing a big north face will leave you feeling like a shell of a man for a week or more after.
I suspect a lot of the prison body building is PEDs.
