I think its time to meet new friends. Love my old friends but I think Im going to keep them in my back pocket for now. The ones that stayed have no ambition and have settled with terrible women and no longer want to do literally anything. The ones who do want to make something of themselves or actually socialize have moved away.
Anyways I would just pick up some new hobbies, but I’m heavily focused on my job, traveling for said job and School work for trying to get my masters and working out, so I don’t really want to pick up another exhaustive, expensive or time consuming hobby.
Also tired of drinking and the toll it takes so I don’t want to resort to my college friends.
That leaves making friends at the gym. Current gym is in a bad area, low quality people, no attractive girls, scammers, 70% is HS or older men.
Thinking of switching to another gym Ive heard has some more serious lifters, and more attractive girls is also in a nicer area.
Off the top of my head Pros motivation by bigger guys, and nicer facilities, hotter girls, more people my age, nicer area, higher quality people.
Cons Farther(but closer to work), expensive( Im paying nothing rn at current gym), Distractions( Women, socializing)
Getting a good lift is still my primary goal so I don’t want to be focusing on girls or anything. But I do want to start building a better social circle.

Gym is not for socializing it's for getting in shape. The guys that make friends at the gym have the social callibration to know which guys are receptive to chatting with them. If you are trying to go to the new gym to socialize as a main motivator you are going to be deeply disappointed with the results

See edit. Not a main motivator. Just seemed like I could kill two birds.

I saw the edit, the overthink about a simple gym change has me thinking it won't work out how you think. But you could try

Yes man you can find plenty of successful people at the gym I have been going to the same gym for years and you start to slowly get to know people and strike up conversations. I have had lots of good advice and it's also good for networking because some of these guys have been willing to give me numbers for various things to help me on my journey. Allot of these guys are successful business owners and are up for a chat and don't mind having their brain picked. It's been a good experience.

Good gyms tend to have few women, and the women who are there are not women any normal man would be attracted to. And they also tend to be in bad parts of town. So I can't tell which of the gyms above is the better one as I'd define it, but I'd go to where the better lifters are. A change of scenery never hurts too. You can always switch back.

Well,if you focus on networking and socializing then the new guys at the gym will add more value to your workouts, maybe you'll get a better physique.out of it.approaching girls at the gym doesn't seem like a nice idea, they're just on a shitty mind state when wearing those tight gym clothes, taking photos and other guys eye fucking them. But if you must then you do you, the gym guys will probably help you out, overall it seems like a positive change provided you make just a bit of effort
