I work a good job as an Engineer, hinge for example has an occupation section that most people fill out. I do get matches but I feel like my occupation makes me into the beta bucks category right away. I was thinking of taking it out. Opinion would help, thanks!

No.
Your occupation only matters when a woman is interested in your money. It will not make you more attractive.
If she finds you physically attractive, your occupation doesn't matter. You could put "piss taste tester" and if you're hot enough they'll pretend it's the most impressive job in the world.

Instructions unclear. Became a piss taste tester and now women tell me my breath is too funky. Send help.

I’m only trying to attract women that like me for my looks and game, so I guess I should take it out then

giving you a chance to outplay them or why would that be fine?
Problematic_Browser 1 1y ago
If you go in knowing that they're trying to play you, then you can watch for signs.
Like I said, filter with cheap dates. Feel free to use them like bowling balls.

So wouldn’t the smart thing to do on dating apps is put your occupation and get more matches, keep them engaged with game and filter out the real bad ones with cheap dates? Like a funnel system if that makes sense.

No.
They’ll be able to tell you’re caked up when they see your apt; don’t bring up career shit unless it just pops up in convo. Mystery is attractive

Women look at men differently than we think. They're looking for a lifestyle. Images of you in nice clothes at a fancy place will pull more chicks than a bio. Pick something exciting to put in there. Everyone and everything online is fake anyway. I think a blank occupation might be interpreted as unemployed.
helpfulguy22 1y ago
That’s also a good point, it may seem like I’m unemployed, man I’m so confused now lol, you guys are giving me mixed answers.
whytehorse2021 1y ago
Maybe just put "Innovator".

Yeah, that would categorize you as beta bucks.
It'll serve your interests to keep career, finances, etc hidden until a woman has earned knowing about them.
helpfulguy22 1y ago
I agree but on a first date women usually ask what u do for work (I’m 27 it’s a common question) should I lie?
Typo-MAGAshiv Endorsed Contributor 1y ago
Nah, just obfuscate.
"My work is boring. Let's discuss _____ instead".
financehardo420 1y ago
Don’t date women in their late 20s lmfao they all just wanna baby trap u
helpfulguy22 1y ago
I’m not I date women 19-24, however it’s a common ice breaker question, can’t really blame her for asking that it’s making conversation.
financehardo420 1y ago
In conversations is Dec fine but I wouldn’t put it in the bio it’s a bit try hard imo

If you are an Engineer, just put down Engineer.
Women are totally clueless - they have no idea how much an engineer makes. In any case, the term Engineer can mean anything from a guy that fixes machines in a factory to...well anything. It could be $20k a year or $2m per year.
You are majorly overthinking this bro. mixed in with a bit of 'main character syndrome'.

Overthink plus if you are on OLD you are basically rummaging in the dumpster. You're fishing in a sewer.
Women on OLD are rejects from the CC. Guys on OLD are just betas with no frame, no game that can't slay IRL.
You'll slowly find this out.
