does the red pill community hold meet-ups like the PUA people do? get together, game some girls, discuss red pill concepts, etc? or is it taboo because red pill members can't afford to be deanonymized?
i'm in a small town and i'd be down to fly out to a large city for a weekend, see the sights - both inanimate and animate

Not exactly. I know Rollo has a D&D game with some online friends. Aaron Clarey is also a big D&D fan, as am I and my 2 sons. Other than that the only official thing is youtubers going on each others' podcasts. Mike Sartain has Men of Action which is a group of red pilled men that work together to improve their lives but it's online.
There's a really big reason for this. All the major red pill guys held a gathering called 21convention or something like that. The organizer turned out to have a pathological personality and alienated all the speakers, called himself the president of the manosphere, and started attacking people like Rollo. So now any meetups are just inner circles of trust.

I have some red pill aware friends in RL. None of them have any idea I'm part of online red pill much less know I'm an admin or anything
But that being said they've discussed walking around a popular part of town and just cold approaching women. So it happens organically too

You know I totally get why you would want to do this, but it sounds like a bad idea (meeting up to try and pick up women).
Perhaps the real win for men in RP would be simply to meet up and do things that don't involved putting women at the centre of our universe. Things like sport, hiking, biking, listening to some classic lectures, discussion groups, etc etc. Anything that involves zero women.
I highly suspect that de-centering women, or at least enjoying the company of other men in an environment free from women, is going to be the answer for a lot of guys.
I have subtlety started doing this more and more in my private life. I have joined the men's team at my tennis club, and we go out to the club for drinks once a week. I have also started another session on Wednesdays where we play tennis and then go to a cool fish and chips place ...only guys. And this weekend I am going on a 2 day motorcycle tour (guys only).
I like sex as much as the next guy. But not at any cost. I'm not spending my time chasing women. I'm not going to be buying women drinks or listening to their horseshit in the vain hope that they might let me hit it.

Men used to have lots of 'safe spaces'. We would go to work in the bank (no women) and then go to the golf club (no women) and we had a great old time.
Now there are women everywhere and its not safe for us to make jokes, say what we want or be ourselves.
So that's why I think men only spaces are essential.
