This might come off as a dumb question but,
what is the no. 1 difference between a guy who can pick up (as in after knowinf each other, so they make an appointment to meet each other) in a fiat punto and a guy who cannot meet up with girls while he drives a Mercedes?
What sets these two apart?
Aren’t women hypergamous so that would mean she would be kind of drawn to the Mercedes guy in terms of materialism, right?
But what would be the no. 1 thing that would stop a girl from being drawn to the Mercedes guy?
I know, weird question but I just want to get your perspectives on this

It's about the man behind the wheel and the feelings that he gives her. Those feelings are provided to her by her hypergamous instinct. Her hypergamous desire is to magically fall upon the strongest man's cock (having the strongest offspring).
If the guy in the benz is a bad boy who demonstrates to the girl consistently that he is more high value than her but gives her enough to make her believe she has a chance, she'll will want to be with the bad boy in the benz.
If the guy in the benz is a simp with game, he may get laid the first night. she will continue using her body to get closer to him until she figures out that he values her more than she values him. hypergamy now kicks in and she starts seeking other men to give her the feelings the benz guy isn't giving her. The feelings of having a man who's higher value than her. if there's a guy in a punto and he makes her feel like he's better than her with his behavior, and he leaves her wanting more but gives her just enough, the guy in the punto wins. Many guys in benz's have raised the child of a guy in a punto. Think rich man buys pool, trophy wife fucks pool boy.
If a punto and a benz pull up to the club, having a benz is an advantage, but it's more about how the guy behind the wheel makes the woman feel. If the guy in the punto keeps her laughing, makes her feel heard and understood... and the benz guy only talks about his toys... then the punto guy can probably win. If the benz guy has tight game and is high value, good luck to the punto!

And aha, so hypergamy only kicks in once a girl picks up that a man values her more than himself?
Could you maybe sum up some things I could study to give a girl the feelings you're talking about, what should I look up?

Hypergamy you can think of as satisfied or unsatisfied. If a woman is with a man she feels is higher value than her, and he's making himself seem appear attainable to her, her hypergamy is satisfied with him most likely. Hypergamy is unsatisfied when she perceives a guy as lower value than her. Hypergamy is always on because it's instinct.
If you call a girl that name and she deletes you and you don't care because you have other girls that's bad boy. If that was your option for the night and you called her a whore hoping to manipulate her into liking you she probably got offended or saw through it. You have to be congruent.

Aha, thanks, I already thought if there's always a more funny, richer, etc guy then there could be no LTR's that end up well, but the key thing is not to value a girl over yourself as you will slowly but surely lose her then, correct?

You probably were uncalibrated in the text message and showed inexperience with texting girls. She didn't need to put 2 and 2 together logically in her brain and say "wow, the way this guy texted me shows that he gets no girls." She said, "wow, that was uncalibrated/rude/made me feel bad about this guy. since i literally have 20 other guys right now, i will delete him pursue better guys" (better guys being guys who make her feelings rise and not fall)

Money is not that important in genuine desire. Think about the 6"4 muscly Chad beaming with idgaf attitude and confidence that he could smash every girl in the room he turns girls wet within 3 seconds we have all seen it. do you think they have thought about how much is in his bank account?
