A prospect I have is a waitress at "special events", galas and stuff like that. She invited me to one of the events she is doing which is a little weird and definitely friendy, so I am unsure exactly how to react. My obvious options are (1) ignore the invitation and fail to show up, (2) go stag with a male buddy to the event, and (3) bring a female date, (which would put her in the position of serving me and my date). I think she is expecting me to do #2.
The tone of her invite was "friends group" kind of thing, but there is an undertone of sexuality. Like I think she quit seeing the stoner she used to hang out with when I expressed my interest. She is at that age (~30) where girls get serious about marriage.

Date = girl you have a chance of fucking
Prospect = girl you might be able to fuck if you took her on a date or made plans
Mayne you do not have excessive status if you're afraid that showing up with one chick will blow your chances with another chick, whom by default you already have a far higher chance of fucking
Just go with your date and stop putting that waitress on a pedestal that you're afraid to lose

Her seeing you with another girl and knowing you have options will probably make her want you more. Just my take though

That was my first instinct. On the other hand, I do not want to drive her away by having some effect that I haven't calculated.

I think as long as the girl isnt busted and it's not overly obvious that you're there just to show off the girl you'll be fine
