Realised im abusing dopamine and would like to switch to serotonin
Advice on how I can do this?
I’m in a rut so it’s hard for me to think about what I enjoy as dopamine is so quickly achieved so you’ll have to accept why I feel the need to right this

I work like fuck and binge coffee and nicotine, sugar etc
I fear I can’t get through the day without it
I now realise during my time trying to fix these problems I’ve isolated myself severely
I’m eating dopamine for lack of serotonin
But I’d never sit and say I’m depressed, I’m unhappy with the outcomes of my life other than money
But financial success doesn’t give me a happiness success once you get that sick of things
I’m v unhealthy, started going gym again before work and getting my pooch out
I just dunno how to quit the stimulants other than perhaps get serotonin up and get back into society

Holy shit. DEFINITELY cut out the sugar. 70% of your dopamine issues are probably sugar. Eat fruits for your sugar fix
The irony of that statement here is that the vast majority of the body's serotonin is made IN your small intestine
Stop eating/drinking like shit. All that sugar is getting digested by bacterium (your gut has microorganisms in it, it's symbiotic as fuck) and releasing a bunch of bacterial waste (gases etc) and the bacterial shenanigans are definitely going to fuck up your mood
Stop eating like shit. You don't need to take serotonin supplements, you need to stop making your small intestine a breeding ground for neurochemical clusterfuckery

Go to the gym. Lift. I know basic advice, but it works in so many things. The endorphins you get there will override a lot of the chemical BS in your brain for a while. And it will fix the problem longterm. Helps me a lot.
I know Jordan Peterson is a cuck, but his videos on serotonin are decent so I can recommend you those.
