Since I'm still quite skinny I was wondering about using weight gainers. Any experiences with those?

They work, but remember that they're a supplement. You still need to eat and put in the gym time.

Makes sense, thanks.
What foods can I add a selfmade shake? I've heard oats are good, milk...

this. OP, if possible, stick to real food; most supplements are trash. and honestly, you get various essential micronutrients from, say, animal products (meat, fish, dairy, eggs) that you don't get from whey protein.

How much are you eating? Imo like protein powder, you should only be using it if you really can’t hit your nutrition through eating

if you are skinny (low weight + low bodyfat.)
0.) Find and stick to a lifting routine (google it. i do ULUL)
1.) calculate your tdee using a tdee calculator (google it.)
2.) Eat 300-500 calories above maintenance from tdee calculator and around your body weight in protein (track macros in an app.)
3.) Track your weight everyday to see if you are gaining weight
4.) Once you hate yourself go on a cut, when you hate everyone but yourself go on a bulk
5.) Weight gainers can be a decent supplement in an emergency but real food is far more worth it and a healthier option.

google GOMAD gallon of milk a day . Combine with 5x5 routine. Heavy compound lifts.
You will see results.
