TLDR: -How do I enjoy my life when my reasons for living feel pointless?
-Had unicorn at 14ish-16 but I got depressed during because my dad had a gruesome death and I started fucking party girls and partying way too hard. Biggest regret of my life
-Family life was fucked. Lived in a trailer with no heat and lost electricity often, wasn't given food or water. Family did meth. Was kicked out at 18 because they didnt get a child support check anymore while still depressed and 6'1 120lbs, no degree, no license or car, no skills.
-Spent a year living with relatives far away and used the thought of my first girl to self improve. I joined the Marines in the infantry, did 2 combat deployments and reinvented myself.
-I got out and now im finishing a degree in engineering (senior). i own my home and own my truck. Im in intensive therapy for my previous life and combat deployments. I was married for a bit but got out of it when i realized AWALT and she started showing signs I didnt like so im free.
-My problem is now that my ex is married (literally with the guy for 15 years from the moment we broke up) I find myself finding no reason to live and I was using her as motivation to keep grinding. Now the grind seems pointless. I enjoyed combat sports but i had a bad back injury and don't want to risk it so now i just gym / cardio.

You can start your own self defense training institute, so it can keep you busy and make money out of it as well.Life is not always pointless. You will find some other passion as well.Life is not all about women and love and all that shit..It is for your purpose may be you will find a way in future ...

Success is very relative. See, many high figures being fucked is proof enough. Many would give an arm to have your "pointless" life now.
That said, maybe you should do like Cast Away character and have this "ex" as being a motivational package. Thank her for being a lighthouse in the dark, but also remember she is one of a million. This also prooves that even oneities could be good if it makes you move forward.
As for the future, start tasting the world. Go to places you never thought you would. And I don't mean abroad, even local will do. That fancy restaurant. That men's barber shop for skin care. World is too big buddy, full of experiences to have.

Your problem is you didn't get your passport. I don't know what race of women you prefer but there's SE Asia, Africa, E, Europe and Latin America. If you do go that route TAKE ME WITH YOU! I'M IN HELL!!! OHHH! OHHHHHH!!!! THESE WOMEN ARE COMPLETE SHIT!!!! OHHHHH!!!!

Im actually considering becoming an expat when i graduate. Im looking at eastern europe / south america. i have a "5 year plan" of aggressively investing in index funds, lifting and perhaps learning a few languages so i can move. i do worry about my dogs though but other than that i have nothing tying me to the U.S and im pretty much retired right now but i want to be super comfortable if i have some boys

I'd suggest throwing in a few trips to see if you like the place. Indonesia drove me nuts with the noisy mosques at 4AM, shitty internet and burning trash. Mexico was a combination of the worst of the US and the worst of Asia. Russia was like Detroit with a few murders every day.

As former military, I can say the military experience is not the same as the local experience. I really liked Thailand because their goal is to have fun and they take the best things from other cultures and reject the bad things, while maintaining their own culture. The only crime I experienced was committed by monkeys. Of course some people hate tropical weather, happy people, and amazing beaches so there's that.

Thats true. I actually live in florida and its not horrible. Im from the northwest though. I think I like EE / Latin girls more and not having the options in thailand would bug me. Thailand does sound great though and i know alot of people expat there for very cheap

I've never been there but lots of people like Latin America.
