Been reflecting about women in corporate environments.

Anyone else feel like most women are suited to entry-level work, paper pushing and office politics? Most tech companies started to go to shit when they brought in professional politicians (usually women) into the fray. They were too generous with who they hired and it was mostly women.

They laid off most of them and actually became more efficient. Go figure.

Feel like most women I know don’t actually accomplish much and their independent decision making is generally not that good. It’s always infuriating working in women heavy environments. Feel like I’m losing brain cells. All they think about is self-promotion, positioning and not bringing value to the org.

They also steal credit and do bullshit more than men. The low honor shit might work for a bit but you can’t fool all the people all the time.

There are definitely some boss-ass bitches that are almost like men that make it but for the most part, women heavy teams and companies are kind of a shit-show.

The higher up you go there are more men and some exceptional women that know how to drive value. They understand respect and don’t play petty politics.

Women trail off or stagnate around 35 it looks like and only the best survive. Whereas men keep progressing up to their 50s.

That’s one reason why there are more men at the top brass.

Anyone else feel the same way? What are you experiences with women in corporate workplaces? Would love to hear from other people with experience working in tech, media, consulting, and consumer goods type of corporates.
