Hello brothers. To any of you that are on testosterone replacement therapy: at what age did you start, how long have you been taking it, what side-effects have you experienced and how did you combat those side-effects? More Plates More Dates from YouTube says that it's not a question of if but when your body starts to fail from taking exogenous hormones; do you agree and have made peace with this, choosing to look and feel better than your non-trt taking peers, but having a shorter life span as a drawback? Personally, if there was a way to guarantee that TRT wouldn't be detrimental to my health in the long run, I'd hop on it instantly.

TRT is great if you like getting bitched out every 3-6mos by a female endocrinologist so that you don't get bitched out by your insurance company so that you can barely get enough T to put your levels slightly above that of a 90yr old diabetic man. You can expect to get completely cut off if you get to the levels of a healthy 25yr old.
I'm pretty sure it's easier to get illegal fentanyl than to get legal T. It's easier to get needles for injecting opium than to get needles for injecting prescribed T. It's easier to get an appointment for an abortion than an appointment with an endocrinologist.
So you see, your body doesn't fail from exogenous hormones... it fails from stigma-related stress. There is zero evidence to back up the claims you cited. Men don't live as long as women because we have more cells that have to be replaced, which is what causes ageing. We have more cells because we have more muscles. We have more muscles because we have more testosterone. Why would anybody choose the awful effects of low T during the latter part of life in order to gain a few extra months of life?

Disagree with that in this context. Love MPMD but I think you're misunderstanding his comment.
If your T is low you are fixing things up and not causing your body to fail. It will fail faster without proper T levels.

I've been blasting and cruising for just shy of 3 years now. Hopped on when I was 25.
Largely speaking, the side effects are fairly limited.
Acne, bloat, anxiety, emotional swings etc happen when your hormones get out of balance.
For TRT this isn't so much of an issue. If you find the proper dose for you using bloodwork markers, and you keep levels stable (I pin Sub Q every day) then you should keep your hormones balanced.
MPMD is a decent source, but he tends to overblow a lot of stuff. If you are doing proper TRT then your test levels should sit within the normal healthy range, and there shouldn't be much in the way of serious long term consequences. Or none more than you would have naturally had, had you have been naturally blessed with high T levels.
A lot of issues that arise - cholesterol, high blood pressure etc. are largely genetic and it's likely you would have developed them regardless.
Regular blood work and a healthy diet is a must to keep your markers in check.
For me it's a risk I'm willing to take. Naturally my test levels were on the lower side.
Keeping my test levels at the higher end of the range has dramatically improved my standard of living.
I have more energy, I'm more confident, I'm more driven, I have a higher sex drive, I feel so much better.

You started at 25? I’m 27 thinking of starting w like 100mg a week or something.
How do u sort out estrogen/making sure you don’t go infertile?
Boosted_Arrow 2 weeks ago
emotional swings etc happen when your hormones get out of balance.
Apparantly more T buffers your emotional swings and makes you more rational.
Bozza 2 weeks ago
Not if your estrogen gets sky high.
You'll become an emotionally unstable, jealous and anxious wreck. You'll just be sitting there doing nothing and just start crying for no reason.

I was talking about Testosteron.
Bozza 2 weeks ago
Testosterone gets converted to estrogen by the body. More test you have, the higher your estrogen gets.
This is why if you blast 500mg of test without an aromatase inhibitor, you'll start growing man titties.
AbusiveFather1 2 weeks ago
How do you control estrogen when you blast testosterone? Also, can you share with me where to find a beginner's guide on TRT? And where to look for a clinic that won't screw me
Bozza 2 weeks ago
I can't really help you too much on that front as I don't live in the US so I'm not familiar with your healthcare system.
Generally speaking you should be fine estrogen wise on a TRT dose, but it may take a few months of tweaking to find the sweet spot. A good practitioner will find the dosage where you feel the best, without the need for AI or other ancilleries.
You'll also need HCG if you want to keep your balls working and remain fertile. But then by keeping your balls working they add more test which gets converted to estrogen...
It's a delicate balancing act to start with to find the exact dosages of everything you need. But once you do it's smooth sailing and you'll feel amazing.
Blasting is a bit of a different ball game as the dosages are much higher. A beginner cycle you'll probably titrate upto 500mg/wk. To keep estrogen in check you'll need an aromatase inhibitor (anastrozole, arimidex). You might be able to get these through your TRT clinic/doctor. If not you'll have to get them off the black market.
Steroid cycles are an entire topic in their own right.

Wouldn’t make yourself dependent on something that will likely be outlawed in the next 5-10 years.
You can raise your test naturally.
