with the advent of remote work, I was wondering why aren't more american men leaving the country for a cheaper place where there are friendlier and better-looking women, like asia or eastern europe? is remote work for an american company while living abroad as an expat extremely rare and not viable, i.e. companies don't usually agree to this, thus it's unrealistic to strive for remote work? or is there some legal/tax issue? because i know the issue isn't getting a visa there, as americans are very welcome in 2nd world countries. i'm sure middle class men with respectable six figure incomes aren't as stupid as choosing to stay and deal with the horrendous american women instead willingly, so i'm trying to figure out the reason, because my goal is to do just that - get remote work, leave and utilize the american passport and dollar elsewhere, even though i work a shitty job currently.
i know i'd be living a much better life with even a $50k income say in thailand or belarus, than with a 100k income in the US.

Life isn't just about women. Sure it sound all great moving to the other side of the world. But you have to leave everything behind, your friends, your family and start all over again. You might have to learn a new language, new cultural/social norms.
That's a lot of fucking effort just for some pussy.
A lot of companies won't do it. As someone who has worked with contractors in different time zones, it create more hassle than it's worth. By the time you clock in, they're clocking off. Communication is difficult, if something needs to be fixed then you need to wait until the next business day for them to pick it up and work on it. It's just not an efficient way to work.
Then you have all of the hassle of taxes, legal red tape, international money transfers.
Why would you bother when you can just hire people in your own country and not deal with any of that?

If you're a US citizen then it's a pretty bad rap. Uncle Sam will want his cut regardless of where in the world you live, and then the country you live in will also want their cut too. So you'll be taxed twice on the same income.

You won't be taxed twice. The IRS lets you exclude the first 120'000$, the remainder will be taxed but you can deduct any income tax you paid to the foreign country you live in. Unless you earn a lot and the country you live in has low income tax, you will probably pay zero tax to the US.

Thanks for the reply. I thought you're tax exempt in the US if you make under 100k while living abroad? IRS Form 2555 if I'm not mistaken. Also, what if you work during the same hours in the US so you're available to reach? For example it's midday in the US but it's nighttime wherever you are yet you're up and working? Or your office is in LA but you're living in Baja California, Mexico?
I don't have relatives in the US, nor many friends, and I have a list of countries that I like where medicine and just quality of life is decent yet my income whilst living there would allow me a very lavish lifestyle. Having friends and relatives here is a very good point, I wouldn't leave them either.

To be fair I'm not from the US so I don't really know the details of it. I just know it's a thing, it may or may not affect you.
I've known a few contractors do that. Just depends where you are and if it's worth it. If you live on the other side of the world then you would effectively be working nights 5 days a week and that would impact the quality of life you'd get from living in a different country.
If you're in a similar timezone then it's easier - but there's still legal hurdles to overcome. A lot of companies just don't want to go through the hassle of getting lawyers handle your employment process when they can hire someone else they don't have to do all that with.

I’m an American who left to Eastern Europe 6 years ago. The quality of women definitely are 1000x better (mentally, physically, and more). You will need to learn the language to get quality girls so keep that in mind.
I work remote but my work wouldn’t let me work from a different city yet alone different country. I have to use a serious home made VPN. If they ever found out they’d sue me for wage fraud (paying me western big city salary adjusted to high cost of living).
Why most men don’t do it is 1) they don’t have the skills to work remotely. It’s no walk in the park you need to have some skills first. 2) their family is in the US. 3) they’re pussies, we all have some fear of the unknown.

No, only since covid opened up remote jobs. Before that I lived on regular unemployment, then my savings, then Covid pandemic unemployment assistance (being registered in CA I received like 37k in payments). Once the pandemic assistment dried up I started looking for jobs. I have a tech degree and know lots about networking and basic programming. I’m working an entry level role for slightly over 100k based in SF which is slave wage there but amazing in EE.
For setting up a VPN I paid a guy to do it, there’s two servers one is in my parents house in SF and the other in my apartment in EE. DM me for more info.
It depends on what company you work for, as some will want you to come in the office and that’s a pain in the ass commute. You have to make sure in writing that it’s 100% remote not work from home and office days once in a while. Trust me here I have to commute back a multiple times a year. Maybe if your company is based in NYC that would be easier as it’s close to Europe.
My brother is fully remote and never ever has to even come back.

I was lucky enough to already know the language as my parents are immigrants. If I were to start from scratch,I’d probably do Greek. Beautiful weather and beaches, constant flow of blonde model types on vacation from colder countries, with the local women having a sexy olive skin look. Healthy great food. Traditional people.
If you want to go way more cosmopolitan, Budapest is a good choice.
Study where you thinkd you’d be happy and can make friends. Then start learning whatever language they speak there.
Fair warning: if you’re not getting hot women in the west you won’t get them in the east either. That part requires the self improvement regardless.

Russian is a great language to learn as well, will help you understand most ex-USSR country languages like Serbia, Ukraine, Kazakstan, Lithuania etc. Slavic women are some of the most submissive and feminine you'll meet.
That warning part is true, they will test your manhood all the time. But the plus side is that you will grow thick skin to this and take on your God given masculine role.

My company has a lot of people working remotely, and they don't care what country you live in. Everyone earns a big fat american paycheck. I personally have to go in to work because of my role, but I'm thinking of building skills to transition into a different role that will allow me to work from abroad.

is software/IT (for any company) realistic to get into as a complete newbie in 2023? i heard that the market is incredibly oversaturated with junior devs, even though there's a lack of experienced ones - which i'm not, and also this talk of AI (chatgpt, etc) replacing lower-level devs; what's your take? also, is it worth it to go get an associate's degree in computer science and then transfer to a bachelor's program, or all this time and money could be better spent self-teaching and working on projects? sorrry for the interrogation

at what stage of the process are you currently: are you working on personal projects for your resume or are you already looking for a job, and if so - how is it going? how many jobs have you applied for and how many interviews did you manage to schedule, if any? also, is specifically software development a competitive shit-show, or all IT jobs in general? personally i wouldn't really care what type of IT job it is as long as there's job security and possibility of remote + career growth.

I've applied for everything from construction to coding. I have 3 job placement specialists working on getting me a job. I've had 0 interviews. Youtube is full of videos of people who struggled to switch to coding. Basically it ends up where you spend all your time and money learning this or that, people use you up for free so you can get experience, eventually you get fed up and start charging people as a freelancer, and then after you've done all the work to establish a clientele and start a business, suddenly everyone wants to hire you but you don't need their crappy job.

I've been to many countries on this planet and have never seen this magical "whiteness" power... outside of beggars and druggies approaching me more than the POC men that I'm hanging around with. i've slept with dozens of women outside of US and zero in the US; the Money part of my SMV is simply different in those 2nd world countries, i.e. women that i regularly attract over there won't give me the time of day over here - at the moment i just can't compete with these guys who look the same as me but also have a six/seven figure income. another observation: land whales give me IOIs in the US whereas overseas they wouldn't dare to, just as they wouldn't dare to strut around in bikinis at the beach - they'd stay home. it seems to me that the value of pussy in extremely overinflated in America.
