So me, two of my buddies and their girlfriends are renting an apartment together. My buddies are pretty beta and the girls don't pay rent (and frankly are ran-through thots). One of the guys has family trouble and needs to leave the state. Soon as he's out the door, his girlfriend books it to Vegas and cheats on him. He finds out, breaks up with her over the phone but is still paying rent because he can't let us, his friends, down like that. She knows this and is exploiting it to save up cash via free rent for the rest of the lease, which is 2 months. She has a job mind you, she's just not contributing to anything at home, doesn't even clean the house and stuff she uses, but buys groceries for herself and just coasts in a free room all to herself while my buddy is busting his ass out there somewhere. My question is: how can we legally get this bitch out of here? Her name is in the lease and again she's not paying for anything, but I just know that if it comes to that the authorities will side with her as she makes up some bullshit story about how she's victim or was harassed by my friend and so on. Also, she recently texted him saying that she's going to take some of his stuff since he - get this - "owes" for her time and is "responsible" for her. I want to lock his stuff up in my room or at a storage but this puts my own stuff in jeopardy as this crazy bitch might steal or break it and bail. What's your take?

If her name is on the lease she's responsible for payment. At least her half of their third. Where I live verbal agreements are enforceable just like written agreements. If she doesn't provide proof of payment of her half she's on the hook for collections. He may be responsible for his half of their third and he's meeting that obligation so he's off the hook. I wouldn't let her take his shit either without his consent. If she steals your shit call the cops.
I would just play dumb and be like "Hey it's the 1st and rent is due. Your half is $300.". And then when she's like "Billy Beta is paying my half" just be like "oh that was before. I heard you broke up and that's no longer the situation".

Some here might have actual advice on getting her removed but I would bet that getting her removed will have consequences that last longer than the 2 months you guys would otherwise just suffer letting this bitch naturally fade out when the lease ends

if I lived with a friend and he wanted to move his girlfriend im only paying 1/3rd the rent from that day on, he can figure out how to manage the other 2/3.

My logic was that I shouldn't be concerned with who pays for the room as long as it is paid for; 3 rooms, each room contributes 1/3rd. Would be the same deal if it were some random people I didn't know and I prefer to live with my buddies even though they have this unwelcome baggage. I guess I should've looked for another apartment, one without females, even if it meant living with random guys that I don't trust (yet)?
When you mention her name in the lease, what exactly do you mean - as in it's a bad thing, because if it weren't in the lease she'd be easy to dispose of?
Otherwise it was an okay time for me personally, I avoided those girls like the plague and it was pretty peaceful for me. There was the usual bickering coming from the other rooms but I don't have enough money for my own place yet and I thought there's going to be some downside to a room-mate situation anyway - this is the first time I'm renting with someone. I just sympathize with my friend who's being exploited by a parasite, and even though I realize it was his choice I'd like to help him some way.

What you do is find the biggest fattest slob with huge "I dont give a fuck attitude" and move him in. He must be very annoying and obnoxious. She will be combing the ads looking for a new place within a week.
I know this because I knew a guy that did this. Cheating GF refused to move out and stopped paying rent. She came home to a fat slob (also our dear friend) sitting on the couch in his underwear drinking beer and trying to throw his empties into a can and missing. He had no social graces or the concept of boundaries. If he was hungry, he would eat her food. Wouldnt flush the toilet. Light his farts on fire. Would play music and vidya games at all hours.
It took 10 days for her to be gone.

You have 2 months left. Take all your important stuff and put it in storage. Keep only the basic necessities. Get evidence of your friend's permission and take all your friend's stuff and put it in storage. She can't get to it there. Keep none of his stuff in your room. If it's only your stuff in there, she has no excuse to go in there. Put a lock on your door. Keep it locked at all times. Set up a cheap laptop and motion-sensor camera. Keep it aimed at the door. Logitech makes a good one for about $150-200. Record your videos to the cloud. That way if she does break in, and smashes your laptop and camera, the evidence is saved to an external source. I'm not sure about the laws where you live, but in some places, when in a shared space, someone going into your room without permission is breaking and entering,.

Finish the lease already. I would consider other alternatives in this thread if there were more than 2 months left, but at this point there isn't anything that would be worth the trouble.
