Sometimes I get this text. Mostly it is because I am busy so my basic response is "I have been busy", but not sure if that is the proper response.

Thats good, means you have her in a good position. Always blame it on your career/work/money making activity even if it's a lie. Basically blame it on something that will make her look selfish. Same thing happens when women use their kids as an excuse.
If this goes on, sooner or later she's gonna pull back. Don't cave, wait for her to message you and make her submit harder.
