Ok guys i know the most important thing is to stop bitching and just do it but i want to hear a system from someone that works.
Right now my goals are to gain as much muscle as possible, work on my businesses, and to keep working on things outside my comfort zone (i have a list of things im working on). I tend to stay consistent for a week or 2, then i fail a day cause i kept pushing it to later and it becomes too late. I have huge procrastination issues that pop up a couple weeks after motivation wears off.
How do you guys stay disciplined with a streamlined system? Is the best thing to do make a schedule with strict times? Im not sure how i can my self improvement journey better cause i just get lazy. Even on months where i focused on my goals and got shit done i probably could have done more cause i waste so much time.

Every evening before a workday I sit down and write a todo list, on paper, not some shitty app
Also Ritalin helps

I found that having a 250lb jacked drill sergeant scream at me was highly effective.

Habits only become habits after you've been doing them. Here are some things that help me:
I make lists, and I don't relax until that list is completed. Do a thing, cross it off, move on.
I do as much prep work as possible. For example, if I know I'm gonna lift in the morning, I'll make my pre workout the evening before, and go to sleep in my gym clothes. That removes the excuse to not do the work when I wake up.
I purposely put something sucky on my "to do" list every day, usually first. When it's done, the rest of the day is cake.

good post PB. I would add to your points;
Make a to do list, but just as importantly, make a NOT TO DO LIST. List out the things that you think you should not do, like watching YouTube in the middle of the day.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for the better part of 30 years and honestly I think the truth is that it’s just hard.

Pick it up the next day. Pretend that the day you missed didn't happen, and carry on.
Cut the guilt; it doesn't help you. Face things as they are - you missed a day or two, but so what? If you start feeling guilty, the guilt will paralyse you - and then it'll be a missed week, or a missed month. Just carry on.
You can also consider starting one thing at a time. For a week or two, just focus on the gym. Once it's already somewhat automatic, start studying something. A week or two later, add another thing to the pile. Just don't do too much; leave some room for life - either just living the moment, or having some room for whatever life throws at you.
