I've been plating this girl for 7 months, and it was bound to happen sooner or later. I started noticing that she got a bit too clingy/emotional, and was dropping subtle hints about us being exclusive. I've told her from the start that I was not looking for something serious, but she got attached either way.
I cancelled our plans, because I was feeling sick, and that's when she called me for 'the talk'. To keep things short. We called for nearly an hour (I know..) to talk things through. She kept pushing for an exclusive relationship, but when I told her I'm not interested in that, she started crying. To be honest, I felt pretty bad seeing her cry. She's always been the perfect plate, but she lives 1 hour away from me, so it was never gonna work out anyway.
After talking for an hour and listening to her being emotional, we agreed to part ways. She said she likes me too much, and that it would hurt her too much to keep seeing each other. I told her I understand, and hung up the phone. I'm pretty sure she broke down crying after I hung up the phone.
Where do I take things from here? Is it best just to ghost her? I have other girls lined up, and am fine with this plate breaking, but seeing her cry made me feel kind of bad.

You fucked up.
Because you were either unclear at the beginning, or you let the pussy shift the dynamic. She pumped in sex tokens and you let her think a relationship could fall out.
Dropping hints? No, you need to be direct. If you aren't, it leads to "the talk". You should have made it clear that the only way she was having you was on your terms, not hers. You couldn't do that because you were afraid to lose a plate. We call them plates because you aren't supposed to give a fuck if they drop.
When you are unavailable, you remain unavailable. Congratulations, you just opened up the door for her to access you whenever the fuck she wants.
No. Just... No. It takes 5 minutes to say "look, I'm not trying to get serious. I'm not feeling well, we can talk later." You let her pull you into her arena.
A wise man said it best:
She manipulated you, because that's how they do it. They do it in a specific order: sex, tears, anger, shame.
Clearly, no. Now you're starting your bullshit rationalizing to justify keeping the relationship.
Great, so you blocked her number and moved on. Good for you.
Unlikely. You're making up a narrative.
Yes. Didn't you just agree that you're done? If you don't, all you'll be doing is allowing her to stay and giving her more of a reason to have another wonderful hour long phone conversation.

My plate created huge drama when i ended things because she started being cling/demanding. Cried for days/tried guilting me and took psychiatric therapy and meds. Blocked me everywhere. 6 months later she calls me and wants to meet up. We hang out. She again starts creating drama and guilting me into a relationship. Said a lot of awful things. I ignored (its amazing how nothing affects you if you dont care about her). She accidently slips up and tells me she dated another guy as soon as we ended and he was very nice to her and she now knows she deserves that and not an asshole like me. I didnt relent.
A few days later she came to my house and told me she loved me and the only reason she ended things with that guy and came back is because he took her out to a vacation and she realised that she loves me. So she ended things and was back to me.
I ditched her ass because no one wants a hoe like her. Your plate will jump on the very next cock she encounters. Dont worry abut her.

You should see how fast she jumps to the next guy. 7 months may have been intense and feel like a lifetime to you but in woman sense of time it was just a moment, hypergamy doesn't care

This. 100 times this.

Don't ghost her. No need for that, she will likely ghost you as soon as she finds another guy.
You were completely honest and up front, she's trying to make you feel bad and stick with her. Good job, you didn't give in.
this girl has likely been doing this with other guys, hook up, try to catch one. She'll move on to another guy until she can get one to stick.

Yep, while she was crying she told me how she was scared I'd ghost her, because some other dude it to her, before I knew her. Actually felt good to hear that, because it's exactly what you described. She'll just find another guy.

dont ghost or block her. Who cares. Let her latch on to another dude like a snail

Had a FWB break it off this week as well. It's just how it is. Sometimes there's some level of love there and it really sucks. Other times you're kinda hoping for it. Either way is normal.

Sucks to hear that about your FWB. Yep, like you said, there was some level of love there and it sucks. Most of my plates break around the 3 months mark. This one was my longest plate yet, that's why it sucks more compared to other plates. Even though she was just a plate, it felt more like a breakup in some way. Guess it was because she started crying. Oh well... on to the next one, I guess.

shes only crying because she couldnt break up with you

You wanted to bang, she wanted to bang, you told her you weren't looking for anything serious, she still wanted to bang. So you did the right thing by banging her. You respected the women. If you had made a decision on her behalf not to bang, despite you both wanting to bang, that would have been misogyny. And that's bad.

Don't worry about it - she's disappointed hundreds of men and will lead on and frustrate dozens more without a care in the world.
Her tears last exactly as long as it takes to open up Tinder and get washed down with male attention again.
She's attractive and female, SHE WILL BE JUST FINE.
hit her up in a week "just for drinks" and fuck her again
