I feel like I've lived semi-paralyzed because I haven't been the BEST. The most hottest, the 1%, the top of the tinder chain, the best game and shit.... I'm starting to realize that this stuff is the ideal but even a regular fucking Joe can get laid. Just groom, put on some cologne, don't be obese and have fun.

This is based on assumptions but they seem reasonable based on your post.
Overweight+obese rate was 73.6% precovid. So if you are in the normal weight range that already puts you in the top 20-25% in terms of fuckability. If you do anything for your looks on top of that you can be easily in the top 10% nowadays. Add decent social skills on top and you're game. If you study engineering that also adds you to a decently high status category by default.
Just looking at these you are easily on the radar for occasional fuck or LTR material. Top 20-10% seems reasonable. Not enough to make girls go drooling crazy with baby rabies but you seem to be in good spot.

I think your observation is pretty correct though. Its easy for an average joe to get laid, and is actually more common for an average joe to get laid than any other class. Most people suffer from social norm fanaticism.
Hypergamy is also not linear within the same class either. Things like being in the same social class, social group, fraternity orders, and such also work to "put yourself out there". Like how its easier to lay college chicks when your in college vs not in college. You don't necessarily have to be above them, just within the acceptable ranges. I also think the traditional view of hypergamy only majorly applies to LTR. Being of a higher class facially, financially, and socially is really only a boost when it comes to sex, ONS, and fornication. You don't need those things as much to slay, its just way easier to slay if you do (but still pretty easy in modern society).
And most of, if not all LTR horror stories from men are usually caused by the traditional hypergamous nature. So it starts mattering more then. Some will get tired of their LTR, even if he has the features of a chad. They desire not the best they can get, but the best they cant get. You also cant really trust a girl trying to LTR because you never know if her intentions are for you to replace betaboy or betabuxx. They also do the chameleon act.
The traditional view on hypergamy nature is only really known discreetly. Theres a reason they say apha fux and beta bux. This is probably why you wont really see it play out in real life.
But your observation on hypergamy is pretty correct when it comes to sex, and stuff. Tbh, as long as your relatively normal when it comes to conversing with woman, with relatively normal genetics you can get women easily. There's discussions on other sub redpill groups that already know about how normal people actually do have the advantage when it comes to lays. I think the red pill female dating strategies are outdated to say that you need to look chiseled, be chiseled, and have everything going for you. That's more of a vauge guideline or self improvement than anything. As more women were able to access and have these same type of strongmens, eventually it ended up being less of a SMV boost.. Now they may even want something different, something not as typical as what they usually see. (As long as your within the normal ranges of acceptability) I think this is one way to observe hypergamy in real time.

The way i understand it is, that those people in DMs, social media and apps could as well be just robots, remember women's main thing is emotion and you don't really get much emotions over a chat box and some hot photos which you are seeing everywhere anyways, it for sure has lost some of its value but i think the message is that if one of those chads actually enters her life and it seems natural, theres a good chance she branches.

Women also target men according to what stage they're in. It isn't always determined by age but in general it is.
