I can't begin to fathom how some men do not care about a women's past. Do they not care that their LTR (women they have promoted and deemed special enough to provide comittment to) has fucked a lot of men before them?
Sometimes I hear men saying, they don't care or they'll never know anyway. Firstly if they didn't really care then why don't they want to know the truth? Secondly, it's very obvious when a girl has been with a lot of guys, even without telling you. Why do some men not care?

Because men are getting more desperate as time moves on. If a lot of men really were to uphold their true standards, literally nobody on the planet except for like 0.01% of women would even be acceptable mates. Most women already have multiple past partners and your better off trying to literally find unicorn before you find a decent women, plus one who does not have an extensive past by legal age.
But most importantly, this is combined with the fact that the state of the world is just not friendly to us men when it comes to dating. ""men are willing to stay with a cheating whore because they have no options. In today's society, the average woman has infinite value, while her counterpart is struggling at the end of a rope."" On tinder, OF, OLD, they turn the algo to extract and simp off low value males. All this does it boosts the womans ego. More low quality women bypassing your average joe SMV, more and more women becoming picky, while more men become sex deprived and thirsty.
Men would have to lower their standards or it becomes hard to compete.

Men delude themselves out of necessity: they want to commit, so they pretend the past doesn't matter.

When all you can get are leftovers, they seem like prime rib. I've actually been pushed to the point of physical starvation and the shittiest food tasted like heaven.
