You approaching and courting a chic is not "chasing pussy". It's pursuing a women, much like turning over a stone. It's your job and no one is going to do it for you.
The "approaching is chasing pussy" mentality that you frame in your post, is you trying to justify why you feel diminished after failing to man up and approach which ever girl(s) made you reason as such.
To further the stone analogy, "chasing pussy" is similar to; once you have flipped the stone and have revealed that nothing is there for you (no genuine desire from her), continuously flipping the same stone hoping it holds something different. It's a losing mans game. Even if you do manage to pathetically change the outcome, you will have sacrificed any frame/self-worth that you would need to maintain course.
Bottom line, always try at least once. Never try more than three times.
