Ok so I need help on learning to approach chicks both at parties and just out an about. I just have no idea how to start up a conversation and then have it go somewhere. I'm a pretty quiet, introverted dude but I can definitely burst out too. Advice?

Going to throw some MRP advice in here too. Never stop approaching. Even if you're married you should game the shit out of girls. The only difference is how you follow through (basically, dont)

It will keep you confident that if your girl cheats, goes crazy, divorces you then you will have no problem replacing her -- abundance mentality.
When you game your missus, she has no reason to go seek that kind of attention or validation from other men.

Watch some RSD videos, maybe some simple pickup, but the best thing to do is to just slowly work your way up to approaching. If you read Models by Mark Manson, there is an exercise you can do to get more comfortable talking with people.
I'm not giving you the whole thing but here it is in a nutshell. Start by asking someone (try for girls only) the time, 5x a day, for 1 week. Then ask them the time, and make a comment on the weather, etc. It'll be awkward sometimes but its better than not even trying.

This is the correct answer. Simply not caring about what happens, realizing you have nothing to lose or fear if the interaction goes south, and remembering to self-amuse are key. If you can copy Simplepickup's vibe when approaching chicks, or some of the RSD guys, you're gold.
Just have fun, it's only weird if you make it weird. Exhibit A

Does that work with LTR material women? I mean, you can plate a girl that let's you write on her breasts in the first 2 minutes of meeting, but I wouldn't want to escalate beyond sex.

I mean I wouldn't do that specifically, I'm just talking about how they open and the overall vibe they give off: not super serious, smiling, just having fun amusing themselves, non-threatening.
A girl that responds to "hey imma write my number on your tits", doesn't seem like LTR material to me either. He's just fucking around.
Just ask for a number or ask if she'll go get a quick coffee with you or something right now or whatever.

Approaching and keeping a conversation going are two different things entirely. You approach by not caring if anything will happen. It's pretty simple but it can take some balls. After you do it enough times, it doesn't seem so bad, ime. You start to realize that the music is not going to screech to a halt and everyone look at you. Even if you get shot down, life goes on.
Continuing a conversation is not easy. You have to be willing to say anything that comes to mind. At the same time, you should be probing her for information and more topics. You should appear genuinely interested. All this time you want to work in more and more touching, especially when they are recalling a happy memory.

I will usually try to make strong eye contact with a girl first, let her know I am not intimidated. Then go up and say hi my name is and just throw my hand out there. It's not the most lavish of entrances but at this point they have to answer and I have never had a girl not reach out and take my hand. I thinks it is an easy way to initiate kino especially if you have issues breaking the kino barrier.
I took my recently 21 friend who is awkward as fuck in general let alone with girls. He asked me how do I talk to them and that is exactly what I told him to do. After 3 rejections, he was makingout with a check at the bar. I slipped some condoms in his pocket and at the end of the night she wanted him to go back with her. He asked me what I should do...beta....I shoved his ass in the car with her and off they went.
Again not the most intricate of openings but when learning how to break the ice, the less you ha e on your mind the more in tune you are to the situation and instincts will kick in or else I hope Darwinism does not allow you to reproduce

"Hi, I'm _____" while moving from a bar stool two over to one right next is my favorite standby. I honestly can't think of a time this didn't work. Last time it worked: less than an hour ago (I'm out for st pats day). Sometimes if I want to dance, I'll go up and say "I want to dance with you to this song" and I'll stop after the song and have the conversation then.
